For those unsure, a mooncup is a silicone cup you wear internally during your period instead of using tampons or towels (here). So not something I'd want to use in the kitchen, Hector
. Good for the environment (they last for years), plus a lot more comfy and less hassle than the alternatives. Chulita, the answer to your question about changing it in a public loo without a sink... Firstly, unless you have very heavy periods, you don't need to change it that often (I only change first thing in the morning and last thing at night). Also, you don't actually need to wash it every time you change it - you can just give it a wipe with loo roll.
Re Kitchenaids - ah yes, I knew I must want one
. No room in the kitchen, though. My latest wish-list gadget is one of those stick blenders. At this time of year I'd love to make more soup, but I can never be arsed with the whole jug blender palaver. Also, I'm told the stick ones are brilliant for baby purees.
Is anyone else having trouble with daytime sleeps? S just doesn't get 'sleepy' (unless he's in the car). He's totally alert and chatty, and then gets increasingly wide-eyed and manic, until he finally starts howling because he's so tired. He used to take a dummy, but now he's started spitting it out; and rocking, singing etc doesn't seem to get him drowsy at all. Yesterday it took me an hour and a half to get him down for a lunchtime sleep, and then he woke up after 20 mins.... I had similar problems with DS1, so maybe it's something I'm doing wrong
