ooh, good luck dog! holy shit.. looked at that pic of a show and almost threw up!

thanks for all the lovely words about the flat. all looks a bit odd on-line, particularly our kitchen and bathroom as for some reason he took pics mainly of the floor, when it is a very high ceilinged flat. heigh ho. Thing about the price is that we'll have to spend £400k to get a three bed so think about the mortage on that. eek. very hideous and my dad keeps sending me lovely pictures of houses in malvern we could buy with the money Hmm.

120 · 20/08/2010 21:09

lol at your continued hangover stripey!

stripeywoollenhat · 20/08/2010 21:24

120, the pic of the show is kind of puke inducing, isn't it? fortunately the hangover remnant i have is just tiredness rather than nausea and angst.... hope the whole property thing passes swiftly and that you find somewhere fabulous that costs at least a bit less than your soul [never moving emoticon]

You should move to my street 120, you could buy half of it, knock through, and bake me brownies. Bargain! Grin

Books, am sure you have no need to worry. Not on my account to be sure Smile

Well. Pah. Took 45 mins to get H to sleep, then put dd1 to bed and dh went for a chinese takewaway [treat for my one weekend night off in a month - nights tomorrow] and as soon as food ht the plate up she got. Now 40 mins later and she is still pssing about refusing to sleep. Utterly draining.

Another dinner eaten alone, in shifts, in silence lest the tv rouse her more. Sad

Work tomorrow. I miss dh!!!

treedelivery · 21/08/2010 10:10

Morning! DD finally fell asleep [as did dh] on the couch together about 1am. They all slept till , she still isn't getting much sleep though is she.

I'm here too. Just got back from the most incredible evening at the Green Man festival Grin. Mumford & Sons were just amazing, the best gig I have ever been to. If you haven't heard them have a youtube look, but they are even better live. Real foot-stomping, jump-and-down, folky/ irish stuff. Nye loved it too, we had a great time. My brother and friends managed to jump the fence too so they joined in the fun. Laura Marling also brilliant.

Knackered after walking around the festival all day. Kept seeing brilliant radio flyer wagons and thinking of tree, am Envy. Also saw very cool 'croozers', like massive double buggies with loads of room for sleeping kids and festival gear. Have to say it's lovely to do a festival and still come home to a hot bath and comfy bed just 5 mins up the road! And the free ticket doesn't hurt like 160 quid would Grin

120 lovely flat, and it looks soooo clean and tidy! I am sure someone will snap it up. And chi-ching when you finally do get to leave London and trade a tiny house for a massive mansion somewhere.

stripey I almost think we have to go to no naps to get back to some sort of decent bedtime. Atm he is awake at 7-8ish, has a long nap (1.5hrs average) but then won't sleep till 9.30pm without a battle I can't be bothered with. So about 12 hours overall. But can't face the afternoon grumpiness.

dog am thinking of you!

waves to everyone else, sorry for lack of proper catch up.

Ooooo Dog! All very exciting, have visited your other thread and bagged a seat. Grin

Don't worry about clogging up the thread here though. In fact we would all be very cross if you didn't!

Well guys, wedding was fine, although very wet and we had to walk from the hotel to the registry office and back again. Was very glad that I opted for wearing my hair up in a sort of chignon and applied a bit of hairspray. There were lots of very disgruntled ladies with ruined hair-dos around. Food was expensive but boring and tasteless (veggie options always are at these things). Met a few of dh's old colleagues and their wives and I think we all got on ok together. Must've done I suppose, as one of them has invited us round to their house with the dcs.

Didn't drink a drop - just in case - but spent yesterday feeling exhausted and like a mega hangover anyway. Hmm Then this morning woke up sick to my stomach and shaky, with sinus pain so bad I couldn't lift my head. Even my teeth and cheekbones really hurt. Dh had to get everyone up and dressed and then I crawled onto the sofa with my duvet when he had to leave for work. Fortunately the dcs have all been really well behaved and I started to feel a bit better about an hour ago. Still feel nauseaus, but at least the dry heaving and excessive burping has stopped. Blush Head still really hurts, but is much better, as the boys went on the nintendo while dd had a nap and I managed to get an hours sleep in.

Am desperately trying to convince myself that its just a virus and sinus infection, but as dh pointed out at lunchtime I had an almost identical day about a week before I found out I was pg with dd. Shock I really remember it actually as I had to speak to the practice nurse at the gps and she said all I could do was hot drinks, hot and cold flannels and steaming my head as they wouldn't treat it if there was even a possibility I could be pg.

Have sobbed on the phone to my Mum, sister and dh and now feel a proper wally. Blush Also was so out of it that I let the possiblity of pg slip when talking to Mum, so I'll never hear the end of it now.

Was trying to ignore it all and get on with life, but this morning was a bit hard to ignore really.

Seriously hope this improves, as ds1 has his best friend coming to play and stay for tea on Thursday afternoon for the first time ever.

ohh mm sorry for ill sounds horrid when r u testing

teaandcakeplease · 23/08/2010 17:34

Moose don't cry, I'm so sorry you feel so rough. Keep drinking plenty of water and eat a little. Hope you get better soon.

If you are pregnant, it is meant to be, I like to think. 9 months is a long time and DD will be much older and easier to manage by then. Yes it is tricky with your other DCs on your plate and the associated struggles. However you'll be ok, of that I am sure and you can always have Homestart help in the early days if needed Smile

I found out I was pregnant with DS when DD was only 8 months old however I had 9 months to work on sleep training her better, getting her talking and walking etc and she was a little star when DS was born (bar the sibling rivalry of course Wink) it was hard going but he's such a smasher now, love him to death. Perhaps Mother Nature (or whoever you think is watching over you) has plans for this bubba, IF you're pregnant and if you're not that's ok too. Sending you ((hugs)) lovely lady x x x

Maybe consider DH getting the snip? LOL Grin

Big ((hugs)) lovely Moose

moosemama · 23/08/2010 18:09

Thanks Tink and Tea.

Tink, my cycles haven't settled properly since they came back in Feb and I stopped bf in June, so not exactly sure when to test to be honest. I am going to leave it as long as possible and hope my period turns up first - so definitely not before next weekend. I promise I will post and let you all know the outcome if/when I do test.

Tea, I asked dh to go for the snip after ds2 and again after dd, but he absolutely will not do it.

I know we'd cope, but it would be tough going. Mum is great and a real help with school runs etc and if today has been anything to go on dd wouldn't be a problem as she's been really good.

Fortunately we have also managed to get her into a bedtime routine since we came back off holiday and she is now going down in her cot at 8.00 pm ish (after we've settled the boys - ds2 at 7.00, ds1 at 7.45) and taking about 20 mins to go off to sleep, so we have our evenings back at least. Yesterday she did't have a nap for various reasons and fell asleep in her high chair at 7.00 pm! We popped her in her cot and she slept until 8.15 this morning, although she did refuse to sleep for my Mum on Saturday until 10.45 pm so she was exhausted.

So, thanks for the hugs. As you say, it will be fine pg or not. Just wish I knew either way. Hmm

moosemama · 23/08/2010 18:28

Just had a quick peek at my fertilityfriends chart from when I was expecting dd and discovered the sinus thing I had then was on the same day post ovulation as this cycle! Shock

Coincidence?? Confused

teaandcakeplease · 23/08/2010 20:02

Hi all.

Am coming back to life after nights, I have friends and my Goddaughter coming tomorrow, for a few nights, so I will be awol.

H is at consultants Wed. It hasn't gone so well really. Yogurt and a little milk she pinched off dd1 and she has vinegar and spinach poo. Her tummy tonght is likje a telly tubbies.

So I have read and am really glad for all the good news, especially the fabby festival MissJ.

Wll look at your thread Tea and bag a plac eont he DOG thread.

Moose, I'm glad you had a good wedding, what a shame about the weather. I hope the bride wasn't too sad about it.
I seem to remember you having a few sinus things going on in pregnancy? It could all be a virus, post holiday energy crash........I hope you feel better real soon. You must be totally distracted.

treedelivery · 23/08/2010 21:23

You had better clog up our thread DOG!

stripeywoollenhat · 23/08/2010 21:27

evening all Smile

tea, posted on your thread.

tree, oh no, poor dd. hope it gets through her system at speed.
mose, glad the wedding was good - thoguh sorry about the crappy veggie food. i really hate that, what is so difficult about cooking something without meat but with flavour? i hope you start feeling better soon. might be a good time to revisit the snip conversation?

missj, Envy about green man. have you tried the no-nap day? it might work...

things a bit flat here, heard a friend i hadn't seen for years killed himself on saturday Sad nothing much to really say about it, i guess - i heard he was drinking a lot in that grapeviney way, but we had long lost touch. feel really crap about it, but in a weird distant way. oh well.

keeping an eye on dog's thread: good news would be good Smile
