Beachcomber · 11/05/2010 23:16

Motorway Man is utter pish however.

policywonk · 11/05/2010 23:16

Interesting Allegra Stratton in the Grauniad now about 'heartbroken' LibDem MPs. Again, saying Labour proposals just weren't serious (apparently they were most disappointed in Ed M's attitude as they were expecting him to be the most conciliatory).

i don't agree with it no, but think it was very gracious indeed and beyond what protocol called for.

definitely not open and not more compassionate abroad.

you konw what i'm saying proles because you agree with roy hattersley, and he agrees with me! in private of course! he is dismayed at what labour has become and what they have done.

SpringHeeledJack · 11/05/2010 23:19

Sun headline: Dave New World

...is it just me, or does that have connotations that are a bit shit?

MrJustAbout · 11/05/2010 23:19

It's written by someone who's not read Brave New World, anyway

Michael Savage saying LibDems have extracted end to child detention. Fuck me, if that's true it's brilliant

onebatmother · 11/05/2010 23:21

Tx pol and avocadoes

Polly was quite cross wasn't she? I do love her.

But increasingly, find I dislike Diane Abbott's manner more than, say, Gove's. There's something really vile about her.

MrJustAbout · 11/05/2010 23:22

inheritence tax scrapped too though

trident was (unfortunately) always going to stay

both lib and tory already criticised nat ins, although lib policy was to do it with gritted teeth

don't recall about capital gains

TDiddy · 11/05/2010 23:22

Have always said that dont mind Cameron but can't support a party whose purpose is to look after the well off as opposed to the vulnerable.

DC is a throw back to Dougie Hurd and other patricians. KGB tried to recruit him allegedly.

policywonk · 11/05/2010 23:22

Rise in CGT a good thing, surely?

SpringHeeledJack · 11/05/2010 23:23

Billy Bragg has graciously asked his fb friends to come and "kick my ass"

Heathcliffscathy · 11/05/2010 23:23

fuck me policy that is amazing.

what fucking amazes me is that labour had it!

DA was particularly annoying there.

MrJustAbout · 11/05/2010 23:24

"More compassionate abroad" = third world debt policies. One of Gordon Brown's biggest achievements

leavingonajetplane · 11/05/2010 23:24

If thats true lib dems hitting the ground running policywonk! Great if that was the sign of things to come.

Its still a strange day when Nick Clegg is set to become deputy PM

Heathcliffscathy · 11/05/2010 23:24

proles, can you have participatory parity without electoral reform in this country? i don't think so.

policywonk · 11/05/2010 23:25

Yes quite soph, disgusting thing that Labour did.

MrJustAbout · 11/05/2010 23:25

... and also why GB deserves a massive amount more credit than Harriet Harman on equalities.

(Flavoured by my semi-prof view that the equalities legislation is badly drafted in many policy contexts - ah, the shit that will hit the fan if breast cancer screening is scrapped!)
