PMSL at magic wand. You know what would have happened if he had done exactly that though don't you wubbly? - some nobs would have torn him apart for taking the easy option.

Right must go to bed.

animula · 14/05/2010 00:06

Are you off wubblybubbly? Good night.

Know what you mean.

But let's watch Portillo and Abbot and Neill together.

animula · 14/05/2010 00:20

Goodness. It's hard to have a show about a really recent event, that everyone's talking about, but hasn't, really started happening yet.

Molesworth, I had the most terrible thought, one that would get me ripped apart in the Relationships section, and kicked off any Leftie thread ... I looked at Michael Portillo and thought how lovely it would be to be married to a nice millionaire in these next few uncertain years.

I am chastened by this terrible thought.

BecauseImWorthIt · 14/05/2010 00:33

Not just any millionaire, but Michael Portillo!

I think you need to say a million Hail Maries (is it Maries or Mary's?!) and sit on the naughty step for several hours.

You need a millionaire leftie. .

Or you need to work harder to own your own money.

BecauseImWorthIt · 14/05/2010 00:34

Sorry - earn your own money.

Oh.

Oh well, that's a shame.

Thanks everyone for the threads over the last week or so, I've really enjoyed them

Nymphadora · 14/05/2010 09:28

Anyone watch HIGNFY? Didnt like the Gordon bashing but thought Chris Addison was FAB , really had in for journalists about they don't seem to understand basics He is my new hero

AppleTreeWick · 14/05/2010 09:29

What are the lefties disbanding then?
But I've brought some houmus...looks around pops open the tupleware...hmm lets see carrot sticks, cucumber and I'll just pop this pitta into the toaster.

So did it all end in tears then?

Beachcomber · 14/05/2010 09:30

Proley!! ISNT!! me old leftie muckers join the sit-in.

Mehdi Hasan was on fire.

I know this is probably going to piss LibDem supporters off but it did come across rather as though the only reasons for the current government are 'but what about the meekats' and 'strong stable government taht the electorate deserves but unfortunately failed to vote for'. Hezzah really does think this is the public's bloody fault doesn't he?

As pointed out, a coalition that brings together views as wide as those of Norman Tebbit and Shirley Williams, does look a little .

Maybe the young whipper-snappers of both sides will be able to find their common centrist ground however. If they do, they could be a political force to be reckoned with. Labour really needs to choose the right leader.

onebatmother · 14/05/2010 09:33

oh for god's sakes women just carry on - there are far more of you here than not, and - as you may have noticed - the ones who aren't may be back sooner than previously advertised .

Perhaps a little steam-letting will have cleared the air (truly shite and confusing metaphor) and the elephant in the room will have shrunk considerably?

Well I'm having a sit-in so thanks for leftie snacks. I'm sorry a few people got upset and can see that some balanced individuals have probably got bored but IMO things are just starting to get interesting. (In politics, possibly not this thread).

AppleTreeWick · 14/05/2010 09:34

Would you like an olive whilst we wait for the pitta Beachy?

Sooooo where's everyone gone then?
