Hope this is ok, I was getting withdrawal symptoms!

I am loving the genius rolling updates from the bbc news website: "1633 David Cameron has just left Tory HQ - not a word passed his lips."

It is better than House of Cards.

BeenBeta · 11/05/2010 16:35

Policywonk - not sure why AV would promote a Lib Dem split. I just had a feeling it might produce an outcome none of us expect.

Sort of unintended consequences and all that once the LibDems have had a taste of real power.

policywonk · 11/05/2010 16:35

Hey toast, have you read 'A Place of Greater Safety'?

wubbly, I sort of agree I think. Everything will depend on the policies that actually get implemented.

Righto ABD. I know v little about electoral systems, must read wubbly's link (although STV is apparently known as BPS in the rest of the world - British Proportional System. Weird huh?)

Hmm. So the media has passed a tiny little turd of Actual News (which is that Cameron is going somewhere and he's smiling) and now we're back to the endless yakyakery. I'm going to try MmeL's tactic and Look Away for a bit...

Hassled · 11/05/2010 16:42

House of Cards - I LOVED that show.

Like Justa, I went and did something else (the garden) and then things happen.

Imminent press conference...

Lemsip was a bit crap eh, they are filling ridiculously on the Beeb. Did you know at Privy council meetings you have to stand up? They said it three times, ffs.

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/05/2010 16:45

Ooh the Libdems have got to meet with their federal executive (oh how they give themselves important sounding names) at 7.30 tonight before they can agree to tory deal.

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/05/2010 16:46

Will the real privy councillor please stand up

taffetacat · 11/05/2010 16:47

GOML

MmeLindt · 11/05/2010 16:48

Slightly distracted by a HUUUUGGGEEE bird of prey swooping over our house. Not sure what kind of bird it is, not very good on birds. Will try to snap a pic.

policywonk · 11/05/2010 16:48

Haven't managed to go yet

Twitter saying@: LibDems have 6 cbt posts, Clegg is Deputy PM.

Nothing can be decided for certain before LD's fed exec cttee meeting 7.30 tonight.

policywonk · 11/05/2010 16:49

Oh sorry GetOrf, you'd already said that

LOL

Alistair Campbell tweeted

The bloody skycopter makes almost as much whining noise as Adam Boulton. How can Cameron and Co concentrate?

LOL, think I am in love

taffetacat · 11/05/2010 16:50

Hmmm Mme L - large bird of prey swooping over the House? Does it have a Hammy, Shiny face? I may be able to help identify.

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/05/2010 16:51

thetoriesaretoast · 11/05/2010 16:52

Yes Policywonk, half way through A Place of Greater Safety. At night when I go to bed it all gets muddled in my head - GB = Danton, Mandelson probably Desmoulins, i.e. totally amoral and Machiavellian. Keep expecting to wake up and find the Cult of the Supreme Being has kicked off.

MmeLindt · 11/05/2010 16:52

German journo trying not laugh at silly questions about markets crashing.

And criticising the British press. GO THOMAS

thetoriesaretoast · 11/05/2010 16:53

He's so urbane, isn't he MmeLindt? Europe really is where the grown-ups live.
