Where had we got to? We'd agreed that we all love Cameron, right?

I can't keep up on this thread and it is nearly over.

I think GB deserves a break from the press, they have always been so horrible about him, it made me like him more, Iraq is a problem for me still, I still blame Blair for that mostly though.

DavidHameron · 10/05/2010 21:33

Oh my god. We're going to need another lefty thread. Who is going to start the next one?

BecauseIAgreeWithGordon · 10/05/2010 21:34

Thank you all for your good wishes. DH seems sure that things are OK for him, so fingers crossed!

Nymphadora - what name do you use on Twitter? I'll follow you.

I was when George Osborned offered AV, and it was reported immediately, so clearly not done via private negotiations. The Tories are clearly panicking now.

But I just can't see how Labour could make it work, even if the LibDems do decide to go with them.

Link to Alastair Campbell's blog for all you fans. Lots of posts on it applauding him for putting Boulton in his place.

Lefties: putting the National Interest Before petty politing

or before teatime whichever comes first

DavidHameron · 10/05/2010 21:40

actually Len, I think it's 7...

TDiddy · 10/05/2010 21:41

policywonk - Until then a quiet Sunday, I saw Ms Millar brave butcher's knifes and dangerous youngsters when everyone else in the street stayed in. And I never heard about this in the press- would have been a good one to spin. Tells me that Campbell is anything but self serving.

ahundredtimes · 10/05/2010 21:43

LG - can we have

But what about The Meerkats?

theyoungvisiter · 10/05/2010 21:43

yes to revenge of the meerkats

I think it must be at least 6 isn't it? I'm sure this one was at least 5 - by my reckoning we've had:

  1. "depressed lefties sign in"
  2. "valient and proud lefties"
  3. then "depressed lefty-red eye"
  4. "the morning after the night before"
  5. and now "pondering and slightly more optimistic"
TDiddy · 10/05/2010 21:43

Would love to get lenin's permission to change my name to "The Meerkats" but not sure that I can live up to the symbolism of the name....

Meglet · 10/05/2010 21:43

bookmarking to catch up (all 900+ posts )

Another one with an AC crush here.

theyoungvisiter · 10/05/2010 21:44

Oh no you're right it is 7.

I forgot "new red dawn"

TDiddy · 10/05/2010 21:45

theyoungvisiter - that sequence of threads tell a wonderful story

Beachcomber · 10/05/2010 21:46

I vote for a reference to the meerkats in the title - please.

taffetacat · 10/05/2010 21:46

Lefties 7: The markets don't get to decide ( great line in the other thread policy )

TDiddy · 10/05/2010 21:47

"But what about The Meerkats?" is an inspired choice of thread name

Bound to provoke an amusing invasion from the right

policywonk · 10/05/2010 21:48

Yes, good point about it not getting spun TD

I think it's about the seventh, isn't it? We had about three on election night.

Maybe it would be good to take 'lefty' out of the title? I like these threads but I'm beginning to think we're creating a nasty atmosphere for non-lefties.

Beachcomber · 10/05/2010 21:48

Yes excellent post and work by policy on the unelected thread.

theyoungvisiter · 10/05/2010 21:50

but if we take lefty out of the title then people of - ahem - opposing views will stumble in unaware and it will descend into a bun-fight.

animula · 10/05/2010 21:51

On the other hand, Policy, it's a krall, of sorts, and perhaps works to stop bunfighting?

I'm just flying that - I don't know. But some of the other threads are a bit scary.

I'm not loving the bunflingingness.

Beachcomber · 10/05/2010 21:51

See what you mean policywonk about the leftie thing - however it does keep the threads as a zone where we don't have to keep justifying our positions and can just chat.

animula · 10/05/2010 21:52

And x-posts youngvisiter.

Hmmmm. Quandary.

Francagoestohollywood · 10/05/2010 21:55

lets keep the lefties

Ewe · 10/05/2010 21:56

I think we need lefty in or we will be accused of being a clique and using in jokes and what not.

We all know how that ends on here!
