Where had we got to? We'd agreed that we all love Cameron, right?

Guys- even if we end up with ConLib coalition, Clegg would be mad not to play Labour off against the Tories. Doing it in public applies more pressure to the Tories.....for the Tories it must be like seeing your ministerial car drive off without you.

curlyredhead · 10/05/2010 18:09

Can you train up BIWI? Get on the website asap, before all the seats sell out! Hope that you get good news for your DH, we know a lot of people at head office who are the other 600 being made redundant

Interesting times... I think it is very statesmanlike of GBrown - was going to email and tell him so, but can't find an address on a quick google. Anyone know?

TDiddy · 10/05/2010 18:10

LeninGrad - how come I could swap braised peas recipees mid thread but can't swap investment tips?

taffetacat · 10/05/2010 18:12

TDiddy - thats word for word what DH said when he walked in.

Mme L -In fact he's a bit scary atm so have just given him LOTS of food.

We had a small discussion about it before he sat down to eat which concluded with " I can't talk to you about this, can I? "

He is huddled over Grauniad ( ha! we get it delivered - I won that one ) has his back to me I am pulling faces and doing a merry jig

That thread is fucking nuts MmeL - well done for posting in such a restrained manner

TDiddy · 10/05/2010 18:13

taffetacat - my DW is sometimes on MN and I dont know who she is. Where is my dinner?

Nymphadora · 10/05/2010 18:16

Just made the mistake of looking at that thread and realised why I hid politics! Some people really don't know arse from elbow do they?

TDiddy · 10/05/2010 18:17

oooh!

Guys- there are a few other wannabe rival threads. Sticking to this one as the real thing.

Nymphadora · 10/05/2010 18:19

Wannabes? Where?

PfftThePinkoLeftyDragon · 10/05/2010 18:20

Ack - I haven't taken my eyes off the news for 2 minutes since Thursday night and I do this afternoon and something else happens!

I assume bets are on for next leader? No fucking chance for Harman I assume? Do we assume Miliband 1 or 2, or is there someone else in the wings?

MmeLindt · 10/05/2010 18:20

Am bowing out of that thread, they are scary.

Will hide here and drink wine

MmeLindt · 10/05/2010 18:22

What really annoys me though, is the fact that they are all wailing about the markets the markets the markets but this morning the markets all jumped up because of the EU rescue package.

TDiddy · 10/05/2010 18:24

Nymphadora-

MmeLindt - which one?

When Harman was younger and pretty they patronised her like hell - did anyone see/ remember Portillo's poetry like address to her as a flower? Now she is a bit more mature they treat her like a feminist devil and squeezed an absolute leadership ambition denial out of her. She should have kept quiet and postered like the young turks do.

pmsl @ DH watching and shouting at Newsround...."David Cameron didn't get enough votes, so he's looking for a best friend."

DS (6) snickering in the background

PfftThePinkoLeftyDragon · 10/05/2010 18:32

Indeed,TD. It's depressing because you can just imagine the roasting she would get from the press should she become leader, you can almost see the entire story mapped out before it never happens....
