I stupidly keep looking at the clock, lord knows what I will be like this time tomorrow!

I'm excited! I feel like I did in 1997

I'm already planning on the best time to get up Friday, not sure there will be a clear result till quite late this time round and don't want to stop up all night.

Anyone want to text me when it's all over and I'll get up?

Chil1234 · 05/05/2010 14:21

To paraphrase Victoria Wood, I'm so tense you could attach jump-leads to my earrings and run the ceiling fan off them....

Floopy21 · 05/05/2010 15:48

I've been feeling a bit nervous all day! I too am wondering when to get up on Friday, V. early doors?

TheCrackFox · 05/05/2010 15:58

I'm feeling very nervous.

Am battling with trying to accept what I think will happena nd that little voice that holds a bit of hope!

Am also excited about voting (ashamed to say its my first time!)

NoahAndTheWhale · 05/05/2010 16:26

I am nervous but also a bit excited. Am planning to stay up v late tomorrow night and see things as they are happening.

My memories of the 1997 election are doing my finals and it being sunny.

ProportionalMisrepresentation · 05/05/2010 16:28

I am both excited and nervous! Looking forward to staying up a bit (with a bottle of red of course ) and seeing what's going on. Working from home on Friday too, so that helps!

weegiemum · 05/05/2010 16:31

Just don't do anything the same time as me, I have very bad form watching election coverage.

Most recently I managed to miss Barack Obama's moment of glory as I was in the loo, for example.

Cartoose · 05/05/2010 16:39

I'm pretty excited

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 05/05/2010 16:45

I am ridiculously excited, and nervous. DH and I are planning to stay up and watch for as long as we can - he has taken the day off on Friday!

whatwasthatagain · 05/05/2010 16:48

Me too - would love to stay up all night but I am usually asleep by 9.30. My DD 10 is also quite interested as she is just beginning to take an interest in the political process - and of course has only ever known a labour government - bless.

KaraThrace · 05/05/2010 16:57

I am nervous, more than I have ever been. I feel the opposite to how I did in 1997, then it was all hope, now I am depressed. I don't know who to vote for, do I follow head or heart?
I have taken friday off too, probably good as I have already had a cry today, I am going to be a mess come friday.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/05/2010 17:10

A bit nervous and jolly excited. Seems like we've waited forever for this election.

I have my cheese biscuits and port all ready

(spect I'll be feeling sick come friday)

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/05/2010 17:12

hmmmm. maybe setting the alarm for 4am might be better than trying to stay up aaaaaaalllll night?

I could stay up til 1am then get up at 4am.
Or I could just sleep on the sofa and have the telly on all night.

BeenBeta · 05/05/2010 17:17

Must admit I feel a bit excited. We have a TV in the bedroom but DW likes her sleep. I usually wake up at 5.00 am so will get up then and sneak down stairs for a bit of scuttle round the blogs and put Sky on.

cornsilk · 05/05/2010 17:18

I'm dreading a tory government so not excited - more nervous.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/05/2010 17:20

I want to see what the swingometer looks like this year.

last time didnt they have leettle weeny pictures of people sat on house of common benches?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/05/2010 19:36

does anyone get worried that they might accidentally spoil their ballot paper? (irrational I know.....)

NoahAndTheWhale · 05/05/2010 19:51

Yes. And I worry that I will put my mark in the wrong box or do something else wrong.

I saw Nick Clegg and his wife this morning taking their kids to school (I passed them on the zebra crossing!!)and I felt a bit teary . Have absolutely no idea why as I don't even know who I'm going to vote for yet, but it all seemed quite exciting and momentous!

MrsVidic · 05/05/2010 20:00

I am so excited and confused I am torn between lib dem and tory- I just can't decide!!!

MrsJamin · 05/05/2010 20:00

Those of you choosing to stay up can I tempt you to look after my 2 month old so I can sleep through? At least tomorrow night there will be something to watch at 1am, 2am, 3am...
