Do post your advance questions here.

OP posts:
Bonsoir · 03/05/2010 20:42

"He seems so much more human than the other two." LOL Janeite, I think you mean "He is so much more on my wavelength than the other two." He seems totally extraterrestrial to me! Or perhaps not just on my wavelength

Beaaware · 03/05/2010 20:42

sorry if I upset anyone for posting a few times should have read the house rules, I did'nt expect an answer to my questions as the subject of vCJD in blood in not one that politicians are prepared to commit on. I personally think it is a serious health issue but thats because I know people who have been affected.

MrJustAbout · 03/05/2010 20:43

Fenouille part of the need for investment was the parlous state of many institutions when they came in.

Without an infrastructure, it's impossible to grow long termm

ahundredtimes · 03/05/2010 20:43

@ Duffet

crumpette · 03/05/2010 20:43

He didn't at the end!

MadameDefarge · 03/05/2010 20:43

I know Greensleeves, I am seriously considering taking our LA to court for discrimination before my son goes to secondary, would make an interesting test case.....

Greensleeves · 03/05/2010 20:43

you must be fucking joking soph

libdem is just tory with no bollocks

and they are not a party of government, never have been and never will be. It's not what they were set up to do.

theyoungvisiter · 03/05/2010 20:43

Good chat and good answers IMO.

And like others - disappointed at the discourteous posters who consider their voices so much more important than the rest of us.

TheCappster · 03/05/2010 20:43

I see where you're coming from Greeny - I'm in a different situation because my child is definitely SN due to physical disability, has fulltime support in mainstream school. She'll go to secondary school under the new government. I fear, from what Cameron says, that that support will have funnelled off to special school by then, and that however bright she is the money won't.

scottishmummyofone · 03/05/2010 20:44

this was much better than the last chat. he got straight to the point and didn't finish with a big lecture/political broadcast like last time. I still think GB is fab

So the up-shot; he's not going to cut anything... but is going to reduce the deficit AND make sure we all have more money in our pockets...?
So the to-do-list if he gets in must begin with either 'procure a money printing machine' or 'invent a device that can erase memories from the british publics minds of anything I have promised during the campaign'

hunkermunker · 03/05/2010 20:44

Good for you, Mumutd. Is there any sort of peer supporter scheme in your area?

Brolly, I know - one way we can demonstrate how valuable breastfeeding is in our society is to pay those who offer bf support.

megcleary · 03/05/2010 20:44

Jux
Thanks for the support I have always wondered the reasoning behind that, I am probably in oodles of MN trouble but it is a valid question I feel that may haunt us in the future.

Beachcomber · 03/05/2010 20:45

If we don't want fluffy questions answered we shouldn't post them.

If Mr Brown ignored them all he would be pulled up for being rude or not having a sense of humour or something.

I thought he was great (again).

Mr Brown you across as very human and very capable. Thank you for your time and good luck!

gingercat12 · 03/05/2010 20:45

Thanks and best of luck

janeite · 03/05/2010 20:45

Bonsoir - am not sure that he is on my wavelength tbh - few people are! But Clegg feels like an alien, Blair was a hologram and Cameron is a snake, I think.

cornsilk · 03/05/2010 20:45

Well Ed Balls commissioned the Rose review and the Lamb enquiry which are both excellent from a parent's point of view. Not all teachers have read them but that's another issue. It takes time for change to filter through unfortunately. I know it's frustrating - my ds is in a similar situation.

Brilliant idea SGM!

I too will be voting labour, but would love the opportunity to put some provisos in.

vesela · 03/05/2010 20:46

I'm just glad I managed to state my contempt for his overspending where he could see it. Total waffle on the deficit - oh no, not me, not my fault at all. Teflon. Admit it! You wasted money!

Re. the Jenkins commission on PR - it was for AV only. That's a pretty pathetic sort of proportional representation.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 03/05/2010 20:46

There was no new information from him there on how to tackle the deficit and the debt, he has said all that before. And as for borrowing for investment, all very admirable but it has all got to be paid for at some point.

How does the increase in NI help the economy to grow and therefore pay back that debt? It doesn't.

It is a great shame he didn't say anything about the gold.

TheCappster · 03/05/2010 20:46

I don't know what went wrong with my post then

the last sentence is completely not what I had wrote-d

Fenouille · 03/05/2010 20:46

Duffet - how rude! So how would you put it then? Did our deficit just appear out of thin air? Considering he spent the best part of the last decade telling us how well he's managing the economy where on earth did it all go to?

Heathcliffscathy · 03/05/2010 20:46

total bolleaux greeny. couldn't be more different. and they have a very distinguised history of being in government until recently.

they are the ONLY party that voted against the war. and arguably even more importantly this week, they are the ONLY party that have electoral reform, an attempt for real democracy at the very heart of their constitution and manifesto.

they are the only and best chance of us actually having a democracy in this country, where our votes really count.

do some reading (of their manifesto) why don't you and then get back to me and argue that they are in any way tory!!!
