April 22nd TV Debate

I'm going along to be in the audience this Thursday for the Sky News TV Debate - it's being filmed in the South West, although it seems we're not supposed to say exactly where for security reasons.

Would people like an official MN behind-the-scenes report afterwards?

Should I break the rules and heckle/cheer loudly at a strategic moment, and if so then when?

If I'm allowed to ask a question should I go "off-script" and ask about biscuits?

Is there anything else I should think about?

murdoch's grip on the electorate is unravelling...once it is publicised how nefarious his tactics are maybe the british public will wake up to just how manipulated we have been by his media empire.

DC 36 NC 32 GB 29 - YouGov

whifflegarden · 22/04/2010 21:45

I agree with yougov, it's clear to me MN not representative as DC so hated on here

Heathcliffscathy · 22/04/2010 21:46

whiffle please read my link. yougov don't poll, they are a propaganda machine.

and the executive should all resign now that this has come out.

wubblybubbly · 22/04/2010 21:46

Ahh YouGov/Murdoch, well that explains it!

TheFoosa · 22/04/2010 21:46

it's yougov/The Sun poll

so obviously DC won

Coolfonz · 22/04/2010 21:47

Round Two: Nick Clegg

Really wasn't David Cameron's night was it?

Also, if anyone can explain to me WTF is a Big Society. I'd be grateful. On second thoughts....

BeenBeta · 22/04/2010 21:49

alicante - hello to you too. Have we done education yet in these debates?

Heathcliffscathy · 22/04/2010 21:49

and see here for just how pouty murdoch is about the fact that libdems are surging

MmeLindt · 22/04/2010 21:50

Alex Salmond always reminds me of the Hamlet ad

Keep waiting for his chair to slide down and the flash to go off

gingercat12 · 22/04/2010 21:50

DC looked about a 100 years old.

Big Society = you do everything for free (run schools etc.) that way, nobody can blame us and we don't have to do anything for our money.

babyphat · 22/04/2010 21:50

big society = do it all your own damn self whether you like it or not

Nettiespagetti · 22/04/2010 21:50

Is anyone else finding the sky news ticker tape very distracting???
Maybe it's just me and time for my bed?

MollieO · 22/04/2010 21:50

I would be amazed if the other polls are the same as YouGov. They placed Lib Dems third last week!

said · 22/04/2010 21:50

I do the YouGov polls and have in the past stated who I will vote for. But I never seem to get asked at these crucial moments. So, am sure they already select who they will poll when they know what result they want.

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 22/04/2010 21:50

Bloody hell @yougov! I didn't realise they were Murdoch's pollsters.

rokersmum · 22/04/2010 21:50

a hung parliment will make the city lose faith in our economic recovery ... becuase it means it is harder to put decisive actions in place because the different parties differ on the best way to drive recovery. if the city loses faith then we don't have investments, pound loses value, other countries don't invest in the UK etc

MrJustAbout · 22/04/2010 21:51

I'm shocked about YouGov - complete loss of credibility for anything from them from now on.

gingercat12 · 22/04/2010 21:51

whifflegarden DC has a huge following on Mumsnet. (I am not one of them though)

vesela · 22/04/2010 21:52

think this journo is right - DC and GB both raised their game, but didn't land a knockout blow on Clegg.

BosomsByTheSea · 22/04/2010 21:52

R4 just mentioned the YouGov poll!! Don't they know it is Murdoch's little project?
