April 22nd TV Debate

I'm going along to be in the audience this Thursday for the Sky News TV Debate - it's being filmed in the South West, although it seems we're not supposed to say exactly where for security reasons.

Would people like an official MN behind-the-scenes report afterwards?

Should I break the rules and heckle/cheer loudly at a strategic moment, and if so then when?

If I'm allowed to ask a question should I go "off-script" and ask about biscuits?

Is there anything else I should think about?

Nick can't seem to say Gordon has to be Gordon Brown.

BosomsByTheSea · 22/04/2010 21:16

I like NCs emphasis on longer term - some things should be taken out of the short-termism of politics.

Not sure about his 'never ever ever happen again'. Smacks a bit of GB's 'No return to boom and bust'

babyphat · 22/04/2010 21:16

man, nick clegg is on fire!

GB scottish accent kicked in there

DC looks knackered

CagedBird · 22/04/2010 21:16

did nc just call her bethlehem????

sfxmum · 22/04/2010 21:16

Immigration now true colours about to come up

catastrojb · 22/04/2010 21:16

Didn't we have this immigration question last week?

whifflegarden · 22/04/2010 21:16

Yawn...GB

MmeLindt · 22/04/2010 21:16

What is her name? Did Nick call her Bethlehem?

TDiddy · 22/04/2010 21:16

Nothing wrong with DC. Just that NC does a better DC than DC

NoahAndTheWhale · 22/04/2010 21:17

GB just agreed it was last week as well

morningpaper · 22/04/2010 21:17

I thought her name WAS Bethlehem

CagedBird · 22/04/2010 21:17

catas it's more in depth this week

Piffle · 22/04/2010 21:17

Let's remember GB and Sarah lost their dd and have a child with a life limiting illness.
Elections are not about this, although they may be used to garner sympathy and empathy toward a personality, it should not be a deciding factor in electing someone to run a country.

As a carer it doesn't work for me I am afraid- I ahve met many people with children as severe as DC's who think that less severe chidlren are easy and shoudln't get funding

That doesn't mean I don't want hiom to mention Ivan, and I woudln't mind if Gordon mentioned either Jennifer or his son, but it doesn't have the effect of making me more confident in his support for all carers

Even teh SN community can be competitive at times I can assure you!

CagedBird · 22/04/2010 21:18

Oh yes that would be my mishearing

MollieO · 22/04/2010 21:18

Her name is Bethelehem. I thought it was some reference to no room at the inn, which I did think was a bit of an odd comment from an aetheist .

Brollyflower · 22/04/2010 21:18

Is dc snirking at her name . She doesn't look chuffed.

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 22/04/2010 21:18

The questioner look pissed off.

To be fair the chair person didn't make her name very clear.

NoahAndTheWhale · 22/04/2010 21:18

Does appear to be Bethlehem.

MmeLindt · 22/04/2010 21:19

What jobs are the Polish doing though, DC? They are cleaners and builders, the jobs that the Brits don't want to do.

teaandcakeplease · 22/04/2010 21:19

Bethlehem looks cheesed off IMO.

dinster · 22/04/2010 21:19

When DC talks about putting a cap on immigrants, I just picture him giving them all baseball hats

megonthemoon · 22/04/2010 21:19

am i allowed to say that gordon brown is actually coming across really well, and playing the "you two are pretenders, i'm doing the job and am the only one who knows what's what" card surprisingly well

Fayrazzled · 22/04/2010 21:19

HerHonesty, SamCam is known for mixing High Street with designer and has been photoed in M&S before.
