Home secretary hits out at 'unacceptable' migrant landings.

Shabana Mahmood told Border Security Command to carry out the review after vessels came ashore at Samphire Hoe, between Dover and Folkestone, on Tuesday, and near Folkestone on Monday.

Twenty-one people were detained on Tuesday after the arrival at Samphire Hoe.
Five people were also detained on Monday, after the uncontrolled landing near Folkestone, the first undetected landing for a year. The Home Office has not said whether more people are being sought.

I see most people wanting to talk about the subject of the thread which is migrant landings.

You wanting to direct the conversation instead to discussing legal migration, Reform and Trump.

I'm for legal migration/freedom of movement. Not for illegal migration.

Talking of posting on topic @Alantraitor , the thread is only 3 pages, I just had a scroll through, and number of posts by AlanTraitor talking about small boats.... zero.

So, you know, please post away about small boats.

I thought I could not recall your username from anywhere, so just had a look through this thread.

Anyhow. Back to the small boats.

Yes, that's why it's so important for the electorate to believe that 'tough talking Mahmood' really wants to limit illegal immigration. She doesn't, nor does Burnham. If they did they would shut down the pull factors. Macron has already told us this is what we need to do and he is right.

I'm not sure its because they don't want to, it's because they can't. If someone comes to the Uk claiming asylum, you're legally obliged to feed and house them until you hear their claim. That is it, no questions asked at that point.

LOL
Unacceptable but we let them stay and give them a place to live and benefits
Fucling joke party

The French don't feed and house them. They take a hard line. Besides, if there was the political will, this could be done offshore.
