It's an anti-Labour piece from a right-leaning journalist but that doesn't mean there isn't a kernel of truth. Labour used to have MPs from genuine working-class backgrounds - now it's Angela Rayner and a bunch of people who worked as SPADS or in the third sector. At the last election the majority of the party's support came from voters in the ABC1 (professional and non-manual) sector so in reality its MPs reflect their voters ... middle management and clerical types.

It doesn't mean that Labour have to throw in the towel but perhaps MPs from the current generation have less sense of what a Labour government is supposed to be for.

Are you saying that care worker isn't a proper job?

Labour introducing VAT on private education is a fact. The rest of it is pure opinion. Private school is a luxury.

It's a fantastic analysis. You will get a lot of pushback on here if people bother to listen to it. Or will they dismiss it as biased garbage? It's true, Labour is a spiteful party whose MPs operate on victimhood. It's no wonder many of their voters do the same - the party they admire enables that. Loved his discussion about Ann.

Incidentally-while there was much to admire about Ann Widdecombe. I wouldn’t pick her morality, personally. Her handcuffing pregnant prisoners and her Vicar of Bray type approach to religion and her politics say otherwise…

No, I obviously wasn't clear. I was putting Angela Rayner (ex care worker) in a different category to the various others who had been SPADs or worked in the third sector.

I'm not a big fan of hers but she is from an authentic working-class background and I'd like to see more people like that in the Cabinet.

Ganging up is the new black, I see. Several posters posting at the same time the same thing, it happens, but when it’s already been asked 4 times, the 5th one repeating it again, it has a solid whiff of intentional bullying if I ever cared, and it shows the intellectual poverty. As I was saying, some ppl have clearly lost touch with rational thinking or decency.

Thanks to OP for pointing out the main objective facts on which CB’s opinion is based.

That one disagrees with his opinion or conclusion, fair enough, that one can’t even accept some of the facts mentioned as they stand, but feels the irresistible urge to systematically denigrate or misrepresent them, or attack his character, that’s where hatred starts. And it seems well under way for some…

Feel free to report @inkognitha. Nobody has denigrated or misrepresented the facts - such as they are - in fact the misrepresentation by omission is in the monologue. Is it not permissible to point out that Brazier’s history contains some unsavoury incidents? Or are we supposed to ignore them? Intellectual poverty is swallowing unquestioningly a highly biased opinion piece which contains starvation level facts.
