Question Time tonight discussion thread and reactions to Robert Kenyon

Starting a thread to discuss Question Time tonight. I've seen some clips already and Robert Kenyon comes across as well as you'd expect.

Yeah he wasn’t great. My 11-year-old (not normally an avid QT watcher or a particularly astute political commentator, being that she’s 11) was shouting at the telly poking holes in everything he said

The green lady made an excellent job of giving RK enough rope to hang himself.

Underwhelming isn't he? I find Burnham such a smarm. A pity the Monster Raving Loony candidate isn't there. I might have found it more interesting.

Green woman comes across well, I agree.

Happy to see a lot of women in that audience, hopefully they've got the measure of their Reform candidate.

Robert Kenyon isn’t going to be PM though so he is of no consequence apart to people of Makerfield, unlike Burnham who could be inflicted on the country

I was in the audience. Rob Kenyon was just a car crash. It was embarrassing to watch.
The women there - the vast majority - were not impressed by him whatsoever. I was surrounded by some lovely women. The woman behind me was the person who called him out for being the sexist plumber. She got a huge cheer!

He’s as thick as two short planks. (Something my northern dad used to say)

I used to live there so I'm really interested in how this goes. It's great to see some blunt speaking from the women in the audience.

I bet Rupert Lowe can’t believe his luck tonight. Genius move fielding a female candidate for Restore . Was dubious about splitting the vote but maybe he knew what reform were putting up.

They are putting a woman in and people can vote for her. She doesn’t have to be on QT. She may take the Reform votes

I would love it if Restore won the seat😂😂

I know she wasn’t there (Rebecca Shepherd) They avoided the car crash not that you’d know the party existed according to the BBC.

I didn't think much of Andy Burnham. He's not going to be Labour's knight in shining armour. I think I prefer Keir Starmer. At least he is a knight. Well sort of I suppose.

Fiona Bruce is an awful presenter.
Kenyon didn't come across well at all, Burnham was Mr.Slick. I thought the other three candidates on the panel were better.

Would send shock waves. Think Starmer would go because of it. Lots of people who were happy up here with St Burnham are miffed now the see him for what he is leaving space for a Reform mayor. Would also put restore firmly on people’s horizon.

There is an also lot of anger up here about the Manchester airport fiasco.And with recent events. It’s going to be interesting.

He was absolutely horrendous.

He was asked how Reform were going to find, recruit and vet the 30000 police they are promising and he answered “well that’ll be the job for whoever’s in charge of that at the time.” So, no idea then Rob. The audience actually laughed at him.

It was nice, however, to have a proper insight into the type of people that Reform think are fit to govern our country.

As expected, he was way out of his depth.
He has no clue how to present his point or construct an argument. An embarrasment for Reform.

I thought she was ok until she decided to challenge him on his comments about immigration and housing and she made him look like the smart one.

Yes but burnham isn’t a racist is he?!
slag him off all you like but what’s the alternative?

Clearly quite a few people thought so from the response she had on there and on here.
