Stamer's lost it. He sounds like an angry lunatic in response to questions.

Tories need to keep starmer in please, no death blows from them thank you. Miliband or Rayner would be even worse.

HarryMaguireSlabHead · 11/02/2026 15:02

She was quite forensic re this Doyle guy who is another paedophile labour apologist. I thought Starmer handled it quite badly to be honest - kept failing to answer the question. His performative outrage at the Lib Dem leader was a bit cringe

To be fair, the Lib Dems have had a few nonces in their midst and still do.

Yes, I’m glad that Labour leader berk from Scotland was shown up as a damp squib.

I’ve just watched it. Starmer was angry, yes. But he had to shout to be heard over the yarboo hollering from the opposite benches. No screaming- good to hear him speaking passionately about what he’s doing.
And if you want to think of pathetic politicians- look at the Tory record- how many unelected Prime Ministers? The turnover of cabinet ministers was so high they should have installed revolving doors at no10.
It is going to take years to undo the damage the Tories have done to the uk.

Tories were awful but Labour are the worst government I have lived through. I couldn't believe anything could be worse than the last lot but the Labour party are killing the economy, it's fucking awful. My brothers are accountants and know lots of people closing doors/letting staff go, worse than 2008.

PMQs is not a sane representation of parliament.

It’s far worse than that.

But that’s the responsibility of a lot more people than Starmer.

It used to be more fun when it was twice a week.

Exactly this. Didn't think it could get worse.

It did

I wouldn’t be surprised if they give Starmer a full make over next, contact lenses, voice coaching, change of clothing style. He might even dye his hair. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
The boring drab Surrey grammar boy in a suit persona hasn’t worked. And Kemi has been looking stronger and better by the day.

I was really hoping Starmer would bring professionalism to the role. Dull and reliable would have been fairly good for a few years, after the Tory Chaos. We were meant to be leaving the period of scandal behind. But he has turned out to be dull and directionless.

As someone who has never supported the party or the man -in the last 48 hours I have realised there is NO ONE else . So I really hope he survives.

HappiestSleeping · 11/02/2026 16:08

Boudy · 11/02/2026 15:00

@HappiestSleeping I think there can be elements of wanting instant gratification in society. But overall I think many people are completely fed up with the 'jam tomorrow' rhetoric over many many years.I know I am!

It is true, however it appears that nobody recognises the jam that has been provided today. I know everyone has their own priority list, so get focused on what is important to them, but I do think that any balanced argument should state the positives as well as the negatives.

Personally, I would like a return to conviction politics. You can keep some of the people happy some of the time, but you can't keep all the people happy all of the time. All the indecision is driving me nuts. Just get on with it. Even if you piss people off along the way, progress that is substantive is usually beneficial.

rainandshine38 · 11/02/2026 16:10

It’s a case of if you don’t want a Labour government- then he’s lost it and shouty. If you do - then he’s passionate and heard.

EasternStandard · 11/02/2026 14:34

I’m not sure what you mean here, she’s beats all the men. She hasn’t always but this week she has, each week her rating goes up as Starmer goes down.

I think any leader with those two things would be happy.

I mean the rise of the right and reform leans more to male white leaders and people (especially women) of colour are viewed (unfairly) as part of a diversity push. It doesn’t win votes. It’s not what the traditional Tory vote wants, to be frank. I think Labour etc have also twigged this. We’re living in archly more race conscious times.

That pretty much sums it up! 😊

I disagree, otherwise she wouldn’t poll better than all the male white leaders when asked who you’d prefer as PM.

The Conservative membership also voted her in. Other parties might have more issues about men and being white but it wasn’t an issue.

peanutbuttertoasty · 11/02/2026 16:40

I heard on the radio around the time of the budget that the claims about lifting kids out of poverty is a fudge in that it’s actually the benchmark for poverty that’s dropped as a result of a drop in average income or disposable income or some such. I’m no statistician and I’m not going to go digging around for a source before you come at me. But I don’t believe Labour to be any more above fiddling with statistics to tell a good story than any other party.

hattie43 · 11/02/2026 16:40

I think Kemi is coming into her stride . I didn’t hear her today but last week she certainly gets her point across in a calm measured way . No need for ranting and raving tbh . Stalmer puts himself in these silly situations through sheer stupidity. In his defence maybe he’s just someone who finds the good in people and sadly they let him down.

Agree with this. It’s predominantly Labour that’s identity obsessed and likely to discriminate against a leader on sex and race.

Upstartled · 11/02/2026 16:51

Yes. He sounded completely unhinged when he started yelling at Davey. Even Davey looked shocked and after a breath managed to respond that he had clearly touched a nerve. But he was right, promoting one nonce fancier is incompetence but to do it again is a pattern.

And it's one that speaks volumes, once again, about what Labour really thinks about violence against women and children. And how they much prefer the rhetoric than anything that might inconvenience their ambitions.

AnnPerkins · 11/02/2026 16:53

timetogoandstop · 11/02/2026 14:19

Unfortunately I think all parties know having a leader of colour at these times isn’t what is resonating with the electorate. That’s across all political divides.

According to recent polls Kemi is winning all the party leader head to heads

Leo800 · 11/02/2026 16:54

He’s losing it. He knows his time is almost up.

MushMonster · 11/02/2026 17:03

He needs to go on his own account before more of the guys around him are proven linked to Epstein or have been selling sensitive information about the country.
He is a poor judge of character. That the closest to him are falling like lead stones is not acceptable. He knew Mandelson had not been granted clearance by MI6. He just went ahead and did name him ambassador. Same for the other cronies. He is not a leader strong enough to drive UK through all this. He is not much of a leader, but an easy push over, actually. He may have some strings these men were pulling at, because why would he do what he did?!?@? It is just plain stupid. And he will destroy Labour if he stays and more rubbish is found hidden underneath a rug, or an offshore bank account.....

Yes but not much competition but I get your point.

If I were Labour I’d get Andy Burnham in quick as he has charisma and appeals to a broad base. I’d definitely avoid any diversity push at this time though.

MushMonster · 11/02/2026 17:13

Do you think the Tories have any chance to ever win an election again? Because, to me, as a party with the recent history that unveiled under our eyes just a few years back, there is no way they make a return. For me, Boris and reminder of PMs the Tory party produced managed to kill the party itself. Nevermind how good or bad their new leader is.
And Starmer will do the same to Labour, for the look of it!

soddingspiderseason · 11/02/2026 17:14

Oh for goodness sake. Its getting tedious now.

Absolutely. It is just like when Boris was in his dying days. Hopefully he will do the right thing and resign.
