Frustrating neighbour.

One of our neighbours is part of The Palestine Action group and constantly posts all over social media. His partner is an activist - seems to hate every British Company and is part of the Stop Oil group. She drives a petrol car and has gas central heating. They are very wealthy and pay for others to do everything for them. He appears on TV now and then as a chef and is very smiley but seems to hate Britain. They have divided our neighbourhood. A the moment I ignore them, by avoiding them, which is what they do too. But I wish people could see how hypocritical these people can be. All their wealth is inherited and if you want a typical champagne socialist there you have them.

I understand not leaving the neighbourhood chat, but why would you actively seek them out on Instagram and TikTok if they’re annoying you so much? With such a busy and exciting life I’m sure you could find better ways to occupy your time.

Whilst they were renovating and before moving in, they were all sweetness. We were looking forward to them moving in. They sent out invitations to join their social media pages. The day they moved in, they changed. Now I keep an eye on things, as they are dangerous. I never comment. I leave them to do all the ranting.

Goodness you do love your stereotypes don't you?

Do you ever say anything nice to anyone? Ever? I have seen you in other posts. Someone has really fried your arse haven’t they? Talk about a big chip on that shoulder.

That's quite funny! I've also read your other posts although this thread says it all really. You have bitched about your neighbours and when anyone has disagreed with you and your attitude to them on here you've snarled back and accused everyone of siding with a terrorist organisation amongst other slurs!

Plenty of people agree with me. But we all know there are plenty of anti semetics trolling on here.
let’s agree to disagree as this is getting boring.
Maybe they could move next to you and comment on your shopping/ car washing / life in general. I have a feeling, that unlike me you will give them a run for your money.

Have you tried getting a life?

Don’t do Baileys. I am not a boomer.

Why the need to drop in an ageist slur?

AgnesMcDoo · 23/12/2025 16:45

So your neighbours have different political views to you?

so what?

WeevilIntent · 23/12/2025 17:48

It’s very strange that, despite being terribly busy (and well-travelled), you regularly choose to spend time watching your neighbour’s social media. It’s utterly baffling that, although you already have “plenty of people” who agree with you, you’ve chosen to spend even more of your (incredibly valuable) time on this preoccupation, starting this thread to create another opportunity to talk about them - this time with anonymous strangers on the internet.

Have you considered ignoring the neighbours and taking up a hobby?

There you go again - we must all be "anti-semetics" if we don't agree with you. I don't see many actually agreeing with you. I am vaguely aware one of my neighbours is a reform voter but I don't look on their social media and haven't let it take up space in my head.

MsAmerica · 27/12/2025 00:44

Well, @Vivienne1000, have you replied to his posts to counter them on social media? Or are you just complaining here about it?

Jonnyenglish · 27/12/2025 00:51

DaisyChain505 · 17/12/2025 18:21

People can have all sorts of different opinions, as long as they’re being good neighbours to you what does it matter?

because its support for a terrorist group ?

PollyBell · 27/12/2025 00:53

Ok and? They dont do and think like you maybe report them, everyone has to think the same way their neighbour decides

Theroadt · 27/12/2025 01:17

OP, you posted on a public forum so you must expect people may not agree with you, which they have mostly done in quite a restrained way, but your reaction has been quite defensive and rude. You do seem obsessed with your neighbours so I’m guessing a backstory. Not sympathetic on current facts, alas.

No- he would be even worse. By the way Ms America, he is also from the U.S.

You can't know that he'd be even worse. Get some of your friends to join you in speaking up.
And incorporate his being an American - like "Imagine the nerve of these colonial interlopers horning in like this!"

QuickJadeFinch · 05/01/2026 09:46

Vivienne1000 · 17/12/2025 18:13

They post it on the neighbourhood chat as well.
And I am not coming off that, for some bumped up activist

You seem very hateful, but of what? Is it the perceived injustice of them having much more than you despite, by your estimation, not working as hard as you?

Life will be at lot more tranquil the moment you let go of this and focus on yourself, and the good things in your life.

QuickJadeFinch · 05/01/2026 09:49

Jonnyenglish · 27/12/2025 00:51

That is debatable. If your thought process is simply along the lines of "Government say group is terrorist therefore group is terrorist because government say so" then you really need to look beyond the superficial.
The world, and especially UK politics, is not nearly as binary as you'd like to imagine.

chipsewfast · 05/01/2026 12:15

You are the problem here.

You haven’t a clue. Stick to what you know about. If you want to support Palestine Action, if you want to put your political views over your neighbours, if you want to scream at your neighbours and act as though you are importsnt, then you would get on very well with them.

The only good neighbour is one who lives at least a mile away.
