One of our neighbours is part of The Palestine Action group and constantly posts all over social media. His partner is an activist - seems to hate every British Company and is part of the Stop Oil group. She drives a petrol car and has gas central heating. They are very wealthy and pay for others to do everything for them. He appears on TV now and then as a chef and is very smiley but seems to hate Britain. They have divided our neighbourhood. A the moment I ignore them, by avoiding them, which is what they do too. But I wish people could see how hypocritical these people can be. All their wealth is inherited and if you want a typical champagne socialist there you have them.

I can tell you my thoughts on supporting Palestine Action. The group has taken a stand against the UK supplying weapons to kill and maim innocent civilians in Gaza. They have occasionally been involved in demos where someone has been hurt but they are far from being terrorists. At demos I have only met peaceable concerned citizens who want the people living in Palestine to be free and safe, including the Jews living there. It's deeply concerning that people with these beliefs are being arrested in the UK.

I looked at their web site before they were banned and it was pretty shocking. It was definitely promoting violence and telling it's members to expect to be arrested for the things they were planning to do. They also had a residential training camp for members, what were they training them to do? Carry a banner?

TessSaysYes · 18/12/2025 14:29

Why do you care? Don't you have your own concerns? Disagreeing with neighbours over politics...it's about as pointless as it gets.

Can you remember what kind if violence was involved? Damage to property or more?

Get some Union flags up - that’ll teach em!

His wife campaigns against M&S. Easy to try and destroy British companies when you have a lovely trust fund behind you….

How do you even know about a trust fund? Or the m and s campaign?

He told us when they first bought the place. And his wife has a very public Instagram page. Everyone round here knows about it. They were super lovely when they first moved here and invited everyone into their social media.
She has an obsession with M&S

You seem keen the ignore the statement in the House of Commons listing some of the crimes their members have been arrested for, including GBH with intent.

Should Reform become a proscribed organisation then? Have you seen the crimes their members have been charged with?

Whataboutery at its finest.

But yes, if they meet the threshold for terrorist activity, of course they should be proscribed.

HelenaWaiting · 21/12/2025 10:50

My son's neighbour put a Palestinian flag in their garden (they're white, middle-class, preachy). My son put a Moldovan flag in his garden. When they asked him why he said 'I thought I would also fly the flag of a country I know nothing about and have no connection to.'

You have a point though, OP. Palestine Action is a proscribed group. If they're putting up posters or making internet posts in support of them, you should call the police.

Lovelyview · 21/12/2025 11:05

Your neighbour is a dick for putting their political opinions all over a neighborhood Facebook group. I'd report any pro palastine action posts to the moderator. They probably break a guideline on content. If you have Jewish neighbours they might be experiencing increased anti Semitism and this won't help them feel safe in their neighborhood.

@Vivienne1000 literally no one agrees with you. You have the answer you need!

Literally everyone I know agrees with me.
have you ever met a real terrorist? I have.
You are living in a woke tower of ignorance.
No one needs to incite hatred against our British Jews by putting up posters in their windows.
He could fight for his beliefs and go into Gaza with many charities. Not sit in his luxury house and preach from safety.

Maybe if everyone you know agrees with you you're living in an echo chamber.

Or you're so bombastic that nobody dares disagree, which is a distinct possibility.

I'm struggling to see why you have posted on here then strongly disagreed with all the responses you had, when you've got such a lovely little bubble nodding along in real life.

Magsbd · 21/12/2025 23:45

Why you care about what they think or do?

Friendlygingercat · 22/12/2025 02:46

I dont know what my neighbours have posted in their windows, what they say on social media and so on. So long as they at not impacting my lifestyle I have no interest in them. They are randoms who happen to live nearby.

Ok so I am assuming you are a wealthy trust funded, Palestine Action Supporter? Who chains themselves to bridges to stop oil, but then uses more with their jet style lifestyle than anyone else I know? Who doesn’t have a proper job, who doesn’t lift a finger in life, but then denounces anyone who does? What an asset you must be.

And you probably don’t appear on TV or feature n newspapers!

Frankly that's bizarre! Why would you assume that, just because I don't agree with your attitude to and obsession with your neighbours?

Because you are siding with them. I make sure I avoid them at all costs, because they are hypocrites. I am a nurse and find it frightening that so many people like you think his behaviour is normal.

Just because I find your obsession OTT doesn't mean I side with them, or that I support Palestine Action! Sounds like it's your way or the highway again.

If the they post everything about lives on the neighbourhood chat, Tik Tok, Insta etc, guess what? They want everyone to know. What a strange thing not to realise this? Are you living on a different planet or do you spend all day hacking people off on MN?

I understand not leaving the neighbourhood chat, but why would you actively seek them out on Instagram and TikTok if they’re annoying you so much? With such a busy and exciting life I’m sure you could find better ways to occupy your time.
