I have come to the conclusion that Musk could have been wearing a fake pencil moustache and a swastika pin badge and there'd STILL be people on MN saying "it wasn't a Nazi salute, he's got Asperger's and just got over excited waving his hands about".

I hate Elon Musk. But he probably didn't. It's probably just that it looked and bit like he did so the media went with it coz it attracts attention, gets clicks and engagement, so makes them money. No one really gives a shit of its true or not. They can all just use it.
