Doubtless the first of many.

What a shower this Labour Government is turning out to be!

Completely agree.

Zonder · 06/10/2024 14:16

Damned if they do, damned if they don't - at least by the MSM and the Tories of MN!

toooldforbrat · 06/10/2024 14:22

Given the vitriol directed at her by the Tory media & the hard of thinking msm followers who can blame her - she’s a civil servant not a politician and she’s not in government!

shes moved to another civil service role & her replacements already in place.

She was not a civil servant. She was Starmer’s Chief of Staff. (She had been a civil servant before her political role.)

She did not step down because of ‘vitriol’ from the press. She was forced out by Labour infighting.

Yes I’d say so

Cracks are showing

And you know that how exactly? She tell you her reasons?

MoneyNeverSleeps · 06/10/2024 14:29

Simon Case also left with a warning to the civil service that they must avoid being dragged into party politics and remain impartial servants of the Government, rather than partial participants in it.

Sue Gray was the target of that advice.

Gos Simon Case knew about all the parties. I wouldn’t believe a word he says.

toooldforbrat · 06/10/2024 14:28

Because she was at war with Morgan McSweeney, previously Starmer’s ‘Chief Advisor’, who has now got her job. She has accepted a nothing role as an ‘envoy’ to the nations and regions.

LizzieSiddal · 06/10/2024 14:32

If there are/were issues I’m glad she’s gone so early. Unlike the Tory's who hung on to very unsuitable people.

EasternStandard · 06/10/2024 14:33

SuePreemly · 06/10/2024 14:30

What nonsense this is it actually made me laugh

Are you Nigel? Who knows

… and on what evidence are you able to present that as fact!

crumblingschools · 06/10/2024 14:35

Isn't she doing a different role now?

Rummly · 06/10/2024 14:35

toooldforbrat · 06/10/2024 14:34

The government has announced McSweeney’s appointment and Gray’s new ‘job’.

MoneyNeverSleeps · 06/10/2024 14:37

According to the usual Labour apologists,
all is just fine and dandy - they won’t brook any valid criticism of their beloved party.

What a load of bollocks - I cannot take any of them seriously.

Yep it’s infighting, she was a big hire after that report

I mean these threads will have the usual but the gap between that and everywhere else commenting on it is a canyon at this point

toooldforbrat · 06/10/2024 14:41

Rummly · 06/10/2024 14:39

toooldforbrat · 06/10/2024 14:41

Yes - present the facts and evidence.

Right. So you want me to present facts of Labour infighting between McSweeney and Gray?

Do you not read the papers or watch the TV? The BBC’s report online says “Ms Gray has been subject to intense internal briefings and criticism, with Whitehall sources claiming she was excessively controlling and causing delays in government decision-making.

McSweeney’s and Gray’s fighting has been widely reported. And the fact he’s now got her job and she’s been given a worthless one doesn’t tell you something?

But, all that aside, what evidence do you have that this was a purely voluntary and selfless act on Sue Gray’s part?

Some folk can see no wrong when it comes to labour
They still try blame the tories somehow

I hate it when people say “present the evidence’ etc on threads like this. We are not A Level students or journalists! We don’t have to - we can base our options on whatever we want.
