If Labour had been in power, we would not have had yesterday's news that the NHS is stopping giving puberty blockers to gender non-conforming children.

I'm a lifelong Labour supporter and was a member until a couple of years ago. Can't stand Conservative policies on most issues. Furious about Brexit.

But it was Tories who pushed for the Cass review and have started to get some sanity back on the treatment of children, at least.

Those of my friends who're still active in Labour are utterly batshit on gender and the leadership doesn't seem to understand the issues at all. It doesn't make me want to vote for the party again.

I suspect you are comfortably off and COL crisis has not affected you, nor have cuts to public services, the state of the NHS, criminal justice system, state education. That’s why you can personally afford to fixate on this.

I did allude to the fact earlier that the trans community will have to compromise also. You must have chosen to ignore that. Each of these things is an iteration which would have to be carefully considered. Self ID for example might work in one situation but not another. None of this can just be dealt with a down the middle yes or no. It's incredibly complicated, but as I said earlier, the vitriol helps nobody.

I can focus on what I want thanks. And yes women’s sex based rights do matter to me, for the reasons I listed.
