The source of donations is always interesting as it can help you see the motivation of the party in acting a certain way. And it's fair game to query whether it's morally right to accept donations from many kinds of donors.

What’s ridiculous is that the tories really have done dodgy deals with all kinds of people. Even with suspected KGB agents who are now in the Lords. But obviously this is far less damaging to the country than a trans gender person donating some money.

They’re not going to be unduly influenced by relatively modest six figure donations, some of which are small sums to support individual MPs. Those donations are peanuts compared with the millions Tory donors hand over.
