Boris Johnson for Prime Minister

AllChangeNow · 21/10/2022 09:31

Eighteen Million (18M) people voted Conservative in 2019 because the Leader was Boris Johnson … THREE YEARS LATER … MP’s acted against British 🇬🇧 popular opinion and the economy went into meltdown … Seventy Two Percent (72%) of electors want Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak back at the helm -

BUT
struggling homeowners want to see mortgage payments fall and calm and stability return

AND
as Boris already has a mandate to govern from the British 🇬🇧 people …

WOULD it be sensible to put him and Rishi Sunak back in control and take the fight to Labour and their (Labour’s) announced plan on the 20th October 2022, to repeal the 2016 Trades Union Act and unleash unaffordable wage increases and strikes galore!!

WOULD
you feel happier if Boris was back as Prime Minister and Rishi as Chancellor?

I’m getting a fair amount of entertainment with everything my Stepmum is saying about him. She used to love him so we didn’t discuss politics but she is getting really quite into it and hates Johnson with a passion now, a view shared by a number of her friends - she’s pretty funny when she gets going and has taken to discussing at length with anyone who feels the same, which apparently includes her window cleaner.

Equally as good is she is having lunch with one of Rees Mogg’s constituents next week and he has managed to piss her and her mates off no end to the extent she is claiming she won’t vote for him again and has a lot to say about him which Stepmum is kindly passing on.

Three months later Voters have realised that Starmer Labour and Davey Libdem have contributed nothing For Britain 🇬🇧 but to put the boot in with no creative ideas to benefit the economy and all their half-truths and media manipulated inventions against Boris have now been seen through by the public

Great satire. 😂

TheGhostOfLiz · 21/10/2022 22:14

Reports in that Sunak just hit the magic 100.

Hemelbelle · 21/10/2022 22:14

The thought of Johnson back fills me with horror. We need a grown up, someone competent with integrity and who puts our country's interest first. Not a flag waving shit show giving contracts and honours to cronies and doners and cabinet positions to incompetents, all at the expense of our national interest.

Your stepmum should be on the tv, we all need to be entertained!

WahineToa · 21/10/2022 22:30

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 21/10/2022 22:31

If BoJo comes back we will be even more of a laughing stock of a country

Me too. I'm just angry and sweary all the time these days. I feel so stressed.

BitterTits · 21/10/2022 22:34

Don't be so fucking stupid OP.

Me too, I feel like I did for the weeks after Brexit 😒

TheGhostOfLiz · 21/10/2022 22:37

I wouldn't have a go at the OP.

I've been thinking I should have started a thread like this: unproven and fantastical support for Johnson that triggers multiple posters to fervently point out what a shit he is.

It's really good anti Johnson work. So much so, I have a sneaky suspicion...

Happy to oblige 😀 I thought yesterday that the spectre of a Johnson return cast him in the role of bogeyman to crystallise support around others. Not entirely as confident of that today as I would like to be.

Did you sleep through the Labour party conference?

paintitallover · 21/10/2022 22:46

No I damn well wouldn't. Self serving pricks trying to keep their jobs might.

HRTQueen · 21/10/2022 22:49

jgw1 · 21/10/2022 21:51

If Johnson is so popular with the voters, how come the opinion polls 3 months ago when he was Prime Minister showed Labour with a significant majority?

Opinion polls change, voters are fickle and they can be forgetful

if this was another politician caught out lying over and over they wouldn’t get the chance to run again but he has and he is also a vote winner. I’m not saying he will win the next election but voters are drawn to him he is manipulative and scheming but this doesn’t seem to matter so yes o do think he would pull back voters and I think this is why he has support with MP’s and the party

I’ve no doubt that the failures of Teuss will only serve well for him

Booklover3 · 21/10/2022 22:55

That you Carrie?

PrioritiseCalm · 21/10/2022 22:56

No fucking way!
GE NOW!!! 👏👏👏

AllChangeNow · 21/10/2022 23:00

Did anyone see that TV programme last night where members of the public bid to stand as Prime Minister - one lady told the truth and got booted out - the other man played the politician and everyone in the room (74%) voted for him even though he lacked substance - what is it with voters - they can’t be told the truth by politicians so they tell them what they want to hear because the public are stupid

This isn’t a game show.

HRTQueen · 21/10/2022 23:21

I agree that voters are easily manipulated we all will at times choose to believe what we want to believe rather than what is likely to happen

how many times have Labour have been due to win a landslide GE on here

how many of us supported to reverse Article 50 truly believing it would happen - looking back there was no chance it would but we wanted to believe it

how many blindly supported Corbyn and will still claim if only xy or z he would be PM now

and of course the referendum

ItisallPooh · 21/10/2022 23:25

Poor Boris has had to fly back to Britain in economy. How on earth will his ego have coped with that? He will probably need another holiday just to recover from that trauma.

HRTQueen · 21/10/2022 23:53

And yet we know he travelled economy

that’s convenient
