Boris Johnson for Prime Minister

AllChangeNow · 21/10/2022 09:31

Eighteen Million (18M) people voted Conservative in 2019 because the Leader was Boris Johnson … THREE YEARS LATER … MP’s acted against British 🇬🇧 popular opinion and the economy went into meltdown … Seventy Two Percent (72%) of electors want Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak back at the helm -

BUT
struggling homeowners want to see mortgage payments fall and calm and stability return

AND
as Boris already has a mandate to govern from the British 🇬🇧 people …

WOULD it be sensible to put him and Rishi Sunak back in control and take the fight to Labour and their (Labour’s) announced plan on the 20th October 2022, to repeal the 2016 Trades Union Act and unleash unaffordable wage increases and strikes galore!!

WOULD
you feel happier if Boris was back as Prime Minister and Rishi as Chancellor?

Though, of course, the best way to prove he is so popular is to stick him as Leader and call an immediate General Election.

After all, if 72% of voters want him, it'll be a landslide.

Good plan.

Bitterbean · 21/10/2022 21:31

OP you have got to be kidding. How can anyone trust Boris to do anything he says? Why would we possibly want a serial liar back in office?

lannistunut · 21/10/2022 21:34

Signalbox · 21/10/2022 10:38

But the global trend it upwards isn't it?

You are perhaps confusing interest rates with mortgage rates and cost of government borrowing? Base rate as set by the BoE is rising, this is a global trend.

But BoE base rate is not all that affectsthe costs of borrowing - the market view of Britain under this shitshow of a government is that we are a higher risk than e.g. Germany, France, Japan - THAT is what would change if we had a stable Labour government. Starmer is indicating very clearly that Labour will follow centre economic policies. The Tories are indicating they are off their fucking heads.

Shockmeafter · 21/10/2022 21:35

Is this a drunk Nadine?

YouGov has a nationally representative sample for its polls as do all the major researchers/ pollers. Are you seriously suggesting their recent figures about how little people want Johnson back are because they’re polling Labour MP’s?

I also think many Labour MP’s would indeed welcome Boris back. It’s almost a sure fire way of guaranteeing a government collapse, General Election and Labour win!

No sane, moral person wants Boris Johnson back

lannistunut · 21/10/2022 21:35

pottydimley · 21/10/2022 21:31

Good plan.

I totally back this plan, and if 72% of voters want Johnson it will be good to have his mandate resoundlingly refreshed for the next five years.

(I see the Tories are currently at 19% in the latest YouGov poll)

We need a GE. Not the serial liar back.

pottydimley · 21/10/2022 21:36

But they're all Tories. It makes very little difference who gets it. It'll be a Tory. It's just the degree of loathsomeness that distinguishes them.

CardiffMam · 21/10/2022 21:38

No, please no.

Kissingfrogs25 · 21/10/2022 21:39

This conversation is increasingly becoming academic. I am hearing Boris has the number of backers he now needs. As far as the Conservative party is concerned Boris should never have been forced out in the first place.
Many believe Boris will be back in post next week, he has the mandate from the nation. No need for a GE.

The very same week Labour confirms they will be endorsing self ID.

Interesting times are coming.

nocoolnamesleft · 21/10/2022 21:41

Is there any truth in the theory that Labour voters are joining the Tory party in droves, to vote for Boris, and thus guarantee a Labour landslide in the next general election?

marmaladepop · 21/10/2022 21:42

Eve · 21/10/2022 09:50

No I fucking wouldn’t be happy - useless corrupt liar who didn’t deliver on his election lies.

40 new hospitals, 1000s of new police officers…..

can’t believe there are still people who can’t see beyond populist sound bites and fall for his shite!

This. Totally agree with you. I'm officially politically homeless these days too.

Let’s hope so.

They won't be able to, the contest is too short.

brianixon · 21/10/2022 21:43

This is the same script the MP with pink ribbon wwas using at the Politics show today.
Probably the first time I agreed with Alaister Campbell-"Johnson is a proven liar"
Please confirm, how many children and how many different Mothers do they have? How many Women did Johnson deceive?
He has disqualified himself.
The Other MP, a man of integrity said he would resign the Whip if Boris came back.

TheLoupGarou · 21/10/2022 21:44

Nadine? Is that you?

But seriously, what a farce this is. I can't believe Boris is even being considered - he's still under investigation by the parliamentary standards committee regarding lying to parliament, having lost the support of his own cabinet.

I think there needs to be a general election, but the conservatives will not countenance it because they know how deeply unpopular they currently are.

Kissingfrogs25 · 21/10/2022 21:44

As usual the socialist bubble prevents you from looking at the actual reality. Boris is more popular now than ever before thanks to Liz Truss.

AnOldCynic · 21/10/2022 21:48

No. Just no. He's a complete nob.

HRTQueen · 21/10/2022 21:49

Anyone joint the conservatives to vote for Johnson thinking this will lead to a Labour landslide is a stupid fool, I think it’s likely to be too late to

if anyone can pull voters back to vote Tory it’s Johnson

If Johnson is so popular with the voters, how come the opinion polls 3 months ago when he was Prime Minister showed Labour with a significant majority?

Y7drama · 21/10/2022 21:55

WahineToa · 21/10/2022 09:34

We just don’t have great options at all. In any party. I don’t know what I think but I always thought it undemocratic that the MPs could oust a PM with that kind of majority. Shouldn’t be allowed to happen.

Not a snarky question but do you think a pm should stay until the next GE regardless of their behaviour/financial situation then?

justinhawkinsnavalfluff · 21/10/2022 21:55

Has hell frozen over?

Surroundedbyfools · 21/10/2022 21:58

The entire state of this country is farcical!!
id say general election. We need rid of these fuckers asap. As for Boris Johnston ….. wtf. This man is like fucking herpes. He just will not go away !

WahineToa · 21/10/2022 21:58

@Y7drama no, not totally regardless but it shouldn’t be the MPs of their party deciding.

Okaaaay · 21/10/2022 22:03

nocoolnamesleft · 21/10/2022 10:45

Boris is a lying cheating immoral deceitful piece of shit, who revelled in making our country a laughing stock.

This. I genuinely fear for civil order if he comes back. Our democratic and social structure are on the verge of collapse. He is culpable (as are others) and will do nothing to serve the national interest over his own.

Three months later Voters have realised that Starmer Labour and Davey Libdem have contributed nothing For Britain 🇬🇧 but to put the boot in with no creative ideas to benefit the economy and all their half-truths and media manipulated inventions against Boris have now been seen through by the public
