Boris Johnson for Prime Minister

AllChangeNow · 21/10/2022 09:31

Eighteen Million (18M) people voted Conservative in 2019 because the Leader was Boris Johnson … THREE YEARS LATER … MP’s acted against British 🇬🇧 popular opinion and the economy went into meltdown … Seventy Two Percent (72%) of electors want Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak back at the helm -

BUT
struggling homeowners want to see mortgage payments fall and calm and stability return

AND
as Boris already has a mandate to govern from the British 🇬🇧 people …

WOULD it be sensible to put him and Rishi Sunak back in control and take the fight to Labour and their (Labour’s) announced plan on the 20th October 2022, to repeal the 2016 Trades Union Act and unleash unaffordable wage increases and strikes galore!!

WOULD
you feel happier if Boris was back as Prime Minister and Rishi as Chancellor?

We just don’t have great options at all. In any party. I don’t know what I think but I always thought it undemocratic that the MPs could oust a PM with that kind of majority. Shouldn’t be allowed to happen.

Circumferences · 21/10/2022 09:34

Wrong talk section!

Ihaveamagicwand · 21/10/2022 09:35

Can you tell me who you suggest, apart from Nadine Dorries, would agree to being in his cabinet? I don’t think Rishi Sunak would be there!

PeekAtYou · 21/10/2022 09:35

Why would Rishi go back? He resigned as Chancellor for a reason and I'd imagine that he wants the top job.
People voted for Boris to get Brexit done and stop Corbyn being PM. The former has been signed off and the latter isn't going to happen. Boris resigned for a reason and those reasons are still valid. He's the most shamelessly sleazy and corrupt PM in modern British history and should not return.

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 21/10/2022 09:35

Not a feminist issue, but no to Boris for all the reasons.

👏👏👏

Well said, that sums it up for me

I really don’t think struggling to fill his cabinet will be an issue or a show stopper and sunak not being there would not have Boris gutted to be honest.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 21/10/2022 09:47

Why did you post this on the Feminism board, OP?

Anydaynowonewouldhope · 21/10/2022 09:49

Totes. Boris is a feminist icon. He’s done so much for women.

Eve · 21/10/2022 09:50

No I fucking wouldn’t be happy - useless corrupt liar who didn’t deliver on his election lies.

40 new hospitals, 1000s of new police officers…..

can’t believe there are still people who can’t see beyond populist sound bites and fall for his shite!

Citation very much fucking needed.

@AllChangeNow I think you'll find that just under 14 million voted for Boris in 2019 (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_United_Kingdom_general_election). I also question this figure of '72% of electors'

What makes you think the markets will be any calmer after a Boris comeback? Also, even if Boris does return, its unlikely he'll appoint Rishi Sunak as chancellor (it was Rishi and Sajid Javid resigning that triggered Boris being thrown out of number 10, I seem to recall). I think this post needs a little more thought.

StillSmallVoice · 21/10/2022 10:27

No. Just no. I didn't think it was possible for this Shitshow to get any worse, but it's the gift that keeps on giving.

It would be funny if people weren't having to choose between heating or food as a direct result.

MrsSkylerWhite · 21/10/2022 10:29

You are ridiculous.

That'll be the Boris Johnson and his Tory party who has done more than anyone else recently to reduce the rights of women. Yup that's exactly who we need as the next Prime Minister.

struggling homeowners want to see mortgage payments fall and calm and stability return

I keep seeing this stated as a reason to call a general election, but aren't interest rates rising globally. How will the UK changing from a Tory to a Labour government alter this trend?

UK interest rates have risen much more rapidly over the past 2 months than any other comparable country.

But the global trend it upwards isn't it?

Yup.

Considering Johnson had an 'approval' rating of -40% when he left office, I would be shocked if 72% of the voting public wanted him and Sunak back. That low a rating also suggests the line "MP’s acted against British 🇬🇧 popular opinion" is unture also.

They put BoJo the fucking clown back and I swear to God that Party will not only never get my vote, I'll start signing myself up to campaign for the other side. Any other side but them.

TheGhostOfLiz · 21/10/2022 10:42

Though, of course, the best way to prove he is so popular is to stick him as Leader and call an immediate General Election.

After all, if 72% of voters want him, it'll be a landslide.

nocoolnamesleft · 21/10/2022 10:45

Boris is a lying cheating immoral deceitful piece of shit, who revelled in making our country a laughing stock.

CompleteGinasaur · 21/10/2022 10:45

Why is this on the FWR section?

FinallyHere · 21/10/2022 10:47

Think this bot has gone rogue

Another thing it has in common with Johnson.
