I think some people like to say they hate "wokeness" without thinking what it means.

I would say opposites are either closed minded or ignorant. It's a shame wokism has become part of the culture wars really as I don't know why anyone wouldnt want to be woke when those are the alternatives!

‘Woke’ means to be aware of (awake) injustices etc.
But with the stress on discrimination the anti woke definition is an extension of ‘political correctness gone mad’

The opposite of woke could in effect be racism, but the polar opposite would be being unaware of injustices.

Someone could be anti woke just because they can’t see the knock on effects, or they could be anti woke so that they don’t change from the advantaged side to equality.

Bigoted, closed minded, unempathetic?

Woke= bigotry, absolute intolerance of views different to your own, authoritarian, cancel culture, bullying, being unable to form a coherent argument without resorting to insults, a green light for misogynistic and racial abuse towards people who have different opinions, etc.

The opposite to that is normal people. People who are free to think for themselves. The woke hate that.

Just looking at your list, Circumference, would you say there are some traits that could be found on both sides?

Maybe indifference.

Woke to me means being overly exacting about certain details that most people really aren't that bothered about.

I can go through a whole month, being polite and inoffensive to everyone I meet, and yet not give pronouns etc another thought.

I think it might be usefully defined as people who think the world is as it should be. The JRM and Suella Bravermans of this world don't see the need to reduce systemic racial injustice, or to improve inequalities and mischaracterise 'wokery' as eating tofu and reading the guardian, which is obviously not what it means. If woke is being aware of the ways in which the world is unequal, the opposite is people who refuse to believe that view and prefer to keep the world as it is.

Surely logical would be the opposite?
Woke is following beliefs that oppose fact based on societal pressure, so someone being the opposite would be following logic.

Functionalists?

Well, the literal opposite of "woke" would be "asleep", or "went to sleep", wouldn't it? Which is why I'm always amused to see all the people clamouring to declare themselves not woke. Way to call yourselves out, guys 😆

Like functionalists believe that everything in a society has a function, do something such as social class is necessary and acceptable, so that people will have something to strive for at the top, and to avoid at the bottom (the underclass/poverty). It doesn't have a moral value, it just is what it is, was always thus and must always be so for that is the way society is. Whereas woke, is about questioning, changing and/or dismantling systems which have any form of inequality or prejudice within them, they think that system has a moral value (a negative moral value) and want to change that system, believing there is no role in inequality and it isn't necessary for society to function

The meaning of 'woke' has drifted. It originally meant something along the lines of becoming aware of social injustice and inequality. Which is not something to be critical of.
However, it's more recent use is critical and encapsulates a loose affiliation of beliefs and ideals that are around social injustice still, but tend to be promulgated by people who are not very willing to consider a bigger picture or other people's perspective. The 'woke' tends to be a bit groupthink.
This lack of common ground then polarises people over issues into very binary positions, thus 'woke' Vs 'bigots'. The truth, as ever, is somewhere between those two positions, depending on your perspective.

So does that mean racism is logical?

Someone that’s ‘woke’ has their eyes open to inequality and injustices.
Someone who’s ‘not woke’ has their eyes shut to this. Usually because they have some sort of privilege that they don’t want to admit to or discuss. Usually these people will use ‘woke’ as an insult, not realising how ridiculous they sound.

According to the Telegraph, wokeism is disabled and same sex couples on Strictly. So yeah, I'd say the opposite of Woke is bigotry.

I actually don't like the term woke. It grates on my back teeth, however the sentiment I agree with and tbh majority of us have a sense of injustice, we don't need a word to define it.
Opposite: ignorance
