😱😱😱 I take it back! 😂

bellinisurge · 02/02/2020 17:32

If you have a problem with me , report it

EpicIndividual · 02/02/2020 17:32

“I hope there is no more remain vs leave.
Although the SNP are now angry leavers,
... the LibDems are pansexual rejoiners,
... Labour might be white noise for 5 years,
... and everyone else is 'just' a British Citizen.“

🤣🤣🤣

Walkingdeadfangirl · 02/02/2020 17:33

They'll probably get the bleach out in a minute

Does the Arms have a secret cupboard with a stash of Bleach?

Arseaboutdarkly · 02/02/2020 17:34

Not bleach bellinisurge they'll make a big ol' joke about it being Zoflora, never tire of that one in the Non Partisan Arms

Starmer is weighty somehow and v knowledgeable about the EU. He's got a good brain on him (not saying the others haven't)

DustyDiamond · 02/02/2020 17:35

Ach - stop trying to start a scrap for goodness sake!

Move on

This thread is not a Brexit Board fight club - if that's what posters want then go & start a thread of your own 🤷🏻‍♀️

Please don't derail these threads by dragging out the arguments of the past - it's boring

@Arseaboutdarkly , much as I like Starmer, I think he is too tainted by his position pre-Brexit. I think Johnson would be genuinely scared of Nandy.
But maybe this isn't her time yet.

EpicIndividual · 02/02/2020 17:38

“Brexit Board fight club”

Dya reckon Mumsnet would let us start that actual thread? 😂 could be cathartic for all sides? Lol. As long as everyone adheres to the rules of course.

“Don’t talk about Brexit Board fight club”

EpicIndividual · 02/02/2020 17:43

Obvs we will need a brad poster.

The Westminster Arms
EpicIndividual · 02/02/2020 17:45

I can’t stop looking at brad now. Does anyone have any cold water to throw at me???

Walkingdeadfangirl · 02/02/2020 17:45

Maybe I have missed it but I haven't heard Sir Starmer say anything different than Corbyn. If anything he wants to go further left.
He might look like a leader because he fits into a nice suit and can use words Corbyn has never heard of but how is he going to rescue labour if he isn't willing to listen to what went wrong in the GE.

Lisa seems to be the only candidate that is even remotely listening to voters.

Hahaha, thanks Walking!

Can’t stay Mad around Brad! Phwoar! 😍

SingingLily · 02/02/2020 18:02

You can keep Brad. I'm sticking to PhwoarDom. Grin

EpicIndividual · 02/02/2020 18:02

Touche’ Lily! 😂

Was the 'starting a scrap' comment to me? No idea how you think i'm doing that but obviously report it, as per your previous advice to others.

The arguments are not 'of the past' and never will be, any more than those who opposed EU membership in the first place were prepared to leave their opposition in the past.

SingingLily · 02/02/2020 18:08

How is Wee Nippy & co going to make the case for giving away the fishing rights?!

Just to go back a bit, Wee Nippy has never confused emotion with logic. That's why, I think, she's feeding just enough red meat to her supporters but not enough to force the issue with Westminster. Now is not the time. She's not daft. She knows that, I think.

Arseaboutdarkly · 02/02/2020 18:08

Maybe I have missed it but I haven't heard Sir Starmer say anything different than Corbyn. If anything he wants to go further left.

Odd, only a while back pp were highlighting Starmer's voting record on benefits to try to demonstrate what a hard-arse he is. Now the line is that he's further left than Corbyn. Worth a try, not going to fly.

HateIsNotGood · 02/02/2020 18:10

Labour aren't electing their next Leader until April, so let them machinate until then; being anti-party politics, it's just more of the same old to me, although this doesn't preclude me having an opinion.

I've always understood the Scottish desire for Independence from England - for many years longer than The Union (James I) has existed, Scotland was an Independent Country.

However, I think Scotland should hold it's fire and wait for Brexit to pan out for a year or two before proceeding further with Indepence.

Meanwhle, perhaps the Scottish Govt should Govern Scotland for a bit, rather than focusing on how it would like to Govern in the future?

SingingLily · 02/02/2020 18:11

Oh nooo.

One person in life threatening condition in the Streatham incident.

Praying now for them.

Miljea · 02/02/2020 18:16

"Not everything is about being the biggest contribution to the Economy - so the people that are involved in UK Fishing are insignificant because they are a minority? That's a pretty dire point of view and takes no account of the culture and beliefs of these indigeneous minority workers."

Substitute the word 'Remainer' for 'those involved in Fishing'

Brexit 'takes no account of the culture and beliefs' of Remainers. That sad, insignificant minority. Of 16 million. Does it?

SingingLily · 02/02/2020 18:19

It was a machete attack but the perpetrator had metal canisters attached to him.

I think we can all agree that our thoughts are with the victims right now.

Parker231 · 02/02/2020 18:19

I agree with earlier posters that this isn’t the place now for leaver v remainer debates but please don’t assume we are all British citizens.

DustyDiamond · 02/02/2020 18:22

At the risk of repeating myself....

This is NOT a Brexit thread.

If you wish to continue arguing about Brexit, please go to the numerous available Brexit threads on the Brexit Board.

Many thanks etc
