I'm doing 'gentle work' into The Brexit - a favourite way of mine to savour fine moments in time; it might be a bit quiet round here in The Arms for a few hours.

There are some fireworks in the distance (setting the dog off) so I'm going to move to a different room and put the TV on to distract the dog.

I've dug out my Union Jack - not for sticking in my window - I haven't stuck anything on my windows since ds's xmas creations of a few years ago.

My Union Jack has ink stains on it as for years I used it to cover my desk, so now it can cover the dining table as I work on it again.

These things make me very happy.

I've left some Chicken Stew and Dumplings for the hungry, put slow-burners on the fire.

As there's no TV in here (thank goodness), H is coming round mine to watch the TV (he doesn't have one either) and he's promised not to annoy me too much.

So, the comfy rockers by the fire are both finally empty, I doubt it will happen again.

Signing in for the evenings festivities. Drink is all ready in hand.
