WouldHave, it is an elite scam. Separate thread. Huge subject. But it looks like Trump is onto the elites and knows their game.

Like I say, claig, your descendants are going to discover that it isn't a scam and are going to curse people like you who stuck their fingers in their ears, closed their eyes and ignored it.

"Boris Johnson accuses Saudi Arabia of 'twisting and abusing' Islam

Foreign secretary, who has been accused of a series of diplomatic gaffes, breaks with convention by publicly criticising UK ally"

www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/dec/07/boris-johnson-accuses-saudi-arabia-of-twisting-and-abusing-islam

Exceedingly rare that a British Foreign Secretary would ever say such a thing about Saudi Arabia. I think it may be due to a change in world direction brought about by the election of Trump which has rocked the entire world, panicked Davos and the teams, and thrown everything up in the air.

OP posts:
claig · 08/12/2016 08:19

WouldHave, they won't because the truth will out in the end, and depending on how far Trump wants to take the "revolution", he may even reveal who was behind it all in the next few years. We will have to wait and see what happens.

"Jeremy Corbyn's brother says Trump's views on climate change are 'excellent'

JEREMY CORBYN'S own brother has said climate change is little more than "half-baked physics" and backed Donald Trump's opposition to global warming.

Metereologist Piers Corbyn said fears of the polar ice caps melting were "complete fiction".

His apparent support for President-elect Trump flies in the face of his brother the Labour leader who has repeatedly criticised Mr Trump since he was elected.

President-elect Trump was vocal in his opposition to climate change throughout his campaign by claiming: "It's a hoax. I mean, it's a money-making industry, okay? It's a hoax, a lot of it."

www.express.co.uk/news/uk/733829/Donald-Trump-Climate-Change-Jeremy-Corbyn-Brother-Chinese-hoax

We don't yet know if Trump will have the courage to face down the lies or if he will listen to Ivanka. What is for sure is that Trump panicked the world's elites and panjandrums by inviting Farage to Trump Tower. If we see Trump inviting Jeremy Corbyn's brother to Trump Tower, then we will know it is game over for the elite.

Chris
Do you guys read your own links?
The CEO of the steel company doesn't provide a timeline, and says that he may return some jobs lost or relocated due to the depression. Depression caused by the Republican administration, and dealt with by Obama.

This return depends on the tax cuts proposed by Trump, so who knows if he meant it or not. :)

claig · 08/12/2016 08:41

What is happening in the world now is a bit like what happened in Louis XIV's reign, The Sun King or le Roi-Soleil.

Trump is surrounded by sycophants and servants of the elites (similar to what we call Blairites) whispering nonsense into his ear and he also has some experts (like Nigel Farage) advising him well. The fate of the entire world depends on whom Trump trusts and believes. Will he be fooled by the elites, their teams and their hand gestures or will he continue with the admirable common sense he displayed on the campaign trail and at Trump rallies?

'It looks like Trump's election has caused an outbreak of truth across the world'

Yes - great line CLAIG. Finally folk telling it as it is. Like Boris!

Inkanta · 08/12/2016 08:42

'Exceedingly rare that a British Foreign Secretary would ever say such a thing about Saudi Arabia.'

Yeah - bloody brilliant!

claig · 08/12/2016 08:47

Absolutely, Inkanta. But how long can this continue? Will it all collapse and will the lies and liars return? Blair has, it seems, returned, or is threatening to return, and that is a very bad sign that the liars are striking back.

Oh, claig, I've looked before at Piers Corbyn's weather website.
It's a money-making typical con site. Lots of spin, low on hard data.
If his science was good, it would be published and used by weather agencies all over.
Instead he's asking people for £15 per single day forecast. Hundreds of pounds for year round forecasts.

He can say what he wants, the Earth will continue its own path.

Inkanta · 08/12/2016 08:49

'Do you guys read your own links?'

Ah shut up Lweji Grin

claig · 08/12/2016 08:51

't's a money-making typical con site. Lots of spin, low on hard data. '

Are you sure that you weren't redirected to some Blairite Institute or similar?

OP posts:
Lweji · 08/12/2016 09:00

I'd also like to clarify something claig.

Is it acceptable or not that an elected official in the UK criticises a foreign leader?

Is it only acceptable when it's in relation to Saudi Arabia?
Because you were mightily pissed off when MPs (not even a high ranking government official like Boris Johnson) criticised Trump.

Could it be that you're being a tad hypocritical?

Btw, I hope you've been working on that list. It's so hard to tell who to trust these days.

claig · 08/12/2016 09:02

'Is it acceptable or not that an elected official in the UK criticises a foreign leader?'

Yes, it is acceptable and necessary in some cases, but when it comes to the United States, insults such as "unfit" or trying to ban Trump, are not good.

OP posts:
Lweji · 08/12/2016 09:02

Are you sure that you weren't redirected to some Blairite Institute or similar?

Only if they've started using Piers' photo on the cover and charge money in his name.

It's quite an entertaining site that screams Nigerian scam.

claig · 08/12/2016 09:04

'Btw, I hope you've been working on that list'

The only list I have been working on is the Christmas Shopping List and how on earth it will be paid for.

OP posts:
Lweji · 08/12/2016 09:05

Yes, it is acceptable and necessary in some cases, but when it comes to the United States, insults such as "unfit" or trying to ban Trump, are not good.

Why?
What's the difference?
Surely they should be able to speak out the truth.
Also, "unfit" is not an insult when applied to Trump. It's a conclusion based on data.

Lweji · 08/12/2016 09:09

That's a shame, claig. How else can we navigate these murky waters of the elites and the establishment?

In fact, you might want to send that list to Trump. He seems confused at the moment about this subject.

And I'm sure it will be easy to reach him. Just twitter it or phone him. He's taking calls from anyone. Just tell him you're the President of Claigia.

Kaija · 08/12/2016 09:12

It is so fucking tragic and wearying that efforts to stop climate change are being systematically thwarted by big business, now in the White House, and egged on by geriatric flat earthers whose won't or can't assimilate new information, and take up a ridiculous pose as "independent thinkers" by denying decades of work by the entire scientific community.

Trump believes in climate change, when it suits him. Exxon believe in climate change, when it suits them. But they just don't have the capacity to think beyond their own greed and short term interests.

fourmummy · 08/12/2016 09:24

Re climate change - I can remember the dire predictions from my teenage years and it was always going to get "catastrophic" "in the next few years". However, no discernible impact on our lives has materialised so when is it all going to kick off?

GlassCircles · 08/12/2016 09:39

Will he be fooled by the elites, their teams and their hand gestures or will he continue with the admirable common sense he displayed on the campaign trail and at Trump rallies?

Ah Claig, I see that you're lining up excuses in case he fails then. If all goes right, it will be down to his 'admirable common sense'. If it all goes tits up, it will be down to the failings and follies of the non-believers around him who chose not to follow his path.

squishysquirmy · 08/12/2016 09:46

fourmummy: the article below is very brief but includes some of the affects of climate change we've already seen. The tabs at the top of the page direct you to evidence etc. Because weather has always been variable, it is not always easy to tell if short term changes represent a pattern or if they are just part of normal variation. However, most scientists agree that the data does show that the global temperature is increasing at an unprecendented level, and that this is extremely likely to be human induced.

I've said before on these threads that if you think the migrant crisis is bad now, just wait until we start to see more effects of global warming. Crop failures, droughts, floods, increasingly unpredictable weather, increased conflict over land...... No wall will be high enough to hide behind.
