The last one filled up quickly.

More discussion on the significance of Trump, Trumpism and the Trumpsters and what it all means for Blairites.

Of course the rallies serve a purpose. Trump is the CEO of a salt mining company. The rallies make the SJWs cry and the salt gets harvested. Trump then sells the salt back to the Hillary supporters. Good business model

Roussette · 04/12/2016 18:39

No no claig. The pencils are erasable on ordinary paper but indelible on the X box bit of a voting paper.

Lweji · 04/12/2016 18:39

I think one purpose is to reassure the Trump fans

Of what, exactly? That he's still alive?
Surely his twitter and youtube clips are sufficient reassurance.

It sounds more like "let the party go on".
He had no plans, he's backtracked on promises, he's appointing establishment, elite and swamp people to his cabinet. He'll need more than rallies.

claig · 04/12/2016 18:40

'Sounds like a right faff.'

Have you seen the elite? They are not as bright as they make out. Trump beat the whole lot of them with ease.

"I hardly think there is a leader on earth brave enough or foolhardy enough to tell Trump to "bog off"..."

Why? What's the worst he can do? Are we back to the whole nuclear apocalypse thing again?

Inkanta · 04/12/2016 18:40

"I googled Hofer yesterday and there was an article in the Telegraph, I think, where one of his party was saying "I don't know where all this far right Nazi stuff i coming from, he isn't like that'"

So is it the media who want to label him 'far right' I wonder. They don't label the green candidate as 'far left'.

Lweji · 04/12/2016 18:42

Trump beat the whole lot of them with ease.

With ease? Really?
How about those narrow margins and the overall lower number of votes?

Lweji · 04/12/2016 18:43

one of his party was saying "I don't know where all this far right Nazi stuff i coming from, he isn't like that'"

So is it the media who want to label him 'far right' I wonder.

Or it's people who are not from his party and have looked at what he proposes.

claig · 04/12/2016 18:44

'I think one purpose is to reassure the Trump fans

Have you watched BBC Newsnight? Their teams are forever trying to tell Trump fans that Trump has let you down, he has backtracked over Obamacare etc etc.

Trump's rallies are now part of the Thank You Tour, to thank the Trump fans and let them and the "room full of liars" know that Trump has not let them down and still intends to come after the good for nuthins (i.e. the elites).

I think it was made clear by Trumo in one of his tweets that he won a "landslide" in the Electoral College and would have won a "landslide" in the popular vote too if illegal voters had been excluded.

Are these the elite's rubbers?

Trump (Part 3)
claig · 04/12/2016 18:49

'So is it the media who want to label him 'far right' I wonder. They don't label the green candidate as 'far left'.'

Yes, Katie Hopkins said something similar on one of her tweets I read today.

The media call Farage "far right", Trump "far right" etc. You can't really believe what they say, and Hofer wants to "build a stronger union", so he sounds like a populist who is more Establishment than Farage.

"So is it the media who want to label him 'far right' I wonder"

Hofer is pro-gun and has suggested people should arm themselves against refugees. He wants to ban the burqa and says Islam has no place in Austria. And his party was founded by actual Nazis.

What would he have to do for you to consider him far right??

Roussette · 04/12/2016 18:52

Yes, and his idea of a fun day out for his four kids is to take them to the shooting range

Inkanta · 04/12/2016 18:53

'Hofer is pro-gun and has suggested people should arm themselves against refugees.'

Goodness. He wants refugees to be shot!?

claig · 04/12/2016 18:54

Have you got quotes for that?

Manuel Valls, the socialist candidate for French President, supported banning the burkini. Is he "far right"?

What was the evidence for it?

claig · 04/12/2016 18:55

'He wants refugees to be shot!?'

I don't believe that which is why I have asked Kaija for the quote

OP posts:

I am not aware of Trump's sources, but doubtless someone informed him.

Manuel Valls, the socialist candidate for French President, supported banning the burkini. Is he "far right"?

It depends on the reasons. His were of left leaning, but still imbued with some xenophoby.
The far right would aim to exclude Muslims. Like a certain presidential candidate.

Lweji · 04/12/2016 19:00

I am not aware of Trump's sources, but doubtless someone informed him.

So, I'm sure there's evidence somewhere. He wouldn't make such a statement without evidence, and I'm sure you wouldn't simply accept it without support, surely.
So, what is it? What has been uncovered to support it?
2 million people reported seeing a known illegal voting?

claig · 04/12/2016 19:03

Hofer speaking on Sky News says "it is wot it is" Smile

I accept what Trump says.

IMHO it all boils down to what Joe Public wanted I.e. Change or more of the same and who they disliked least.

Time will tell, the people have voted, it is called democracy
