The last one filled up quickly.

More discussion on the significance of Trump, Trumpism and the Trumpsters and what it all means for Blairites.

'So, do you think he's following someone's advice? If so, whose?
And if not, why not? Do you think it's a good thing for him to say whatever he wants without proper knowledge or advice (particularly in international politics)?'

Trump has a core team of advisers. What unites them is that are 100% pro American and "America First", all politically incorrect and all for freedom and free speech.

Trump has said he doesn't trust all the "geniuses" who are "aghast" about what he says about Pakistan, he cares not a jot for ambassadors and protocol and political correctness and the political class, which is why he deliberately humilaited the entire EU political class of servants by being photographed in Trump Tower with Nigel Farage to send them a signal that their game is over.

I think it is great that Trump says whatever he feels like.

'North Korean envoy rejects Trump overture to meet leader

U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's proposal to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is a "kind of propaganda or advertisement" in his election race, a senior North Korean official said on Monday.

Trump, in a wide-ranging interview with Reuters in New York last week, said he is willing to talk to the North Korean leader to try to stop Pyongyang's nuclear program, proposing a major shift in U.S. policy toward the isolated nation."

www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-trump-idUSKCN0YE2IZ

That was back in May, before Trump was President, when teh entire world elite were mocking Trump and thinking he would never end their game. Now everything has changed.

Trump said "there will be so much winning, you will get sick of winning" to the Trump fans. There will be so much peace, business and prosperity with Trump that the whole world will celebrate, apart from the Jihadis and the elites.

Trump will probably even go to North Korea and they will think he is a hero too

This thread isn't a bundle of laughs at the best of times. Apart from that statement above Grin

Kaija · 02/12/2016 12:18

"Trump is going to be the most popular leader America has ever had, just watch and see. He is despised by the elites, but loved by the people."

He's got a hell of a way to go. Currently the most unpopular leader America has ever had. Loved by the elites for his tax cuts and 2.5 million people's votes less popular than Hillary Clinton.

Lweji · 02/12/2016 12:19

So, you think he was advised to have that conversation with Musharraf?
Or was that off the cuff?

Do you think it was a wise of him, the way he spoke?

claig · 02/12/2016 12:19

"North Korea praises Trump and urges US voters to reject 'dull Hillary'

State media outlet welcomes Republican candidate’s ‘far-sighted’ policies and suggestion that he will withdraw troops from Seoul"

www.theguardian.com/world/2016/may/31/north-korea-praises-trump-and-urges-us-voters-to-reject-dull-hillary

The elites are in real trouble. Their warmongering is over. The whole world wants peace and so does Trump. And of course Trump also wants "free speech" which terrifies the elites.

'So, you think he was advised to have that conversation with Musharraf?

Off the cuff. No one tells Trumo what to say, he is not a David Cameron.

'Do you think it was a wise of him, the way he spoke?'

Yes, he was praising the Pakistani leader, and teh country of Pakistan, instead of insulting him and it. No problem with that.

OP posts:
Lweji · 02/12/2016 12:26

Yes, he was praising the Pakistani leader, and teh country of Pakistan, instead of insulting him and it. No problem with that.

Except that it sounded fake, and it looked to countries, such as India, like he'd be on Pakistan's side. Not sure he wanted that.

I wonder what he said to the Indian PM. Probably something very similar.

DetMcnulty · 02/12/2016 12:27

Even though they're blatantly taking the piss out of him by releasing it? They've done it to make him look stupid.

Lweji · 02/12/2016 12:30

North Korean state media has praised US presidential hopeful Donald Trump, describing him as a “wise politician” and “far-sighted candidate” who could help unify the Korean peninsula.

Do you understand what this means to the North Korean government, and what would mean to the citizens of South Korea?
The NK leader won't give in to democracy, nor to his own control of the country.
Are you aware of his actions to stick to power?

You are looking at Trump allowing the entire Korean peninsula to become a war zone, or become Kim Jong-un's domain.

Lweji · 02/12/2016 12:32

They've done it to make him look stupid.

I'm guessing to send a message to India too.

But it will also make it difficult for Trump to criticise them, or go against them in any way without looking like a bigger fool than he looks now.

OxfordStreet · 02/12/2016 12:37

his bizarre conversation with the Pakistani PM

There is nothing bizarre about this or his conversations with other leaders. A new incumbent does not carry over animosity from a previous administration. In some cultures it is vital that you come across as very respectful, regardless of what has gone before.

In the Arab culture, you might ask after the health of someone's most gracious and much loved mother - that is why it is important to find out something pertinent and personal about leaders you are meeting. That is what is done in high-end business and DT knows that.

You most definitely do not make a wagging finger phone call to Pakistan, reminding them of their lack of cooperation and their transgressions.

OxfordStreet · 02/12/2016 12:40

Cherie Blair was on TV the other night speaking to Evan Davies

I saw some of that interiew. Evan Davies was virtually bowing to Cherie from a seated position. He was very bashful indeed interviewing her.

Lweji · 02/12/2016 12:44

Of course there's no point in finger wagging, but his words were:
very good reputation, amazing work, visible in every way, amazing, tremendous, the most intelligent, fantastic country, fantastic place, fantastic people, they are amazing, exceptional people.

He didn't show any awareness of politics in the region, nor of Pakistan.

A better conversation would have shown that awareness while showing openness for dialogue. He should have been prepared.

Most world leaders will be very pleased with themselves, as it looks like Trump will be very easy to manipulate.

claig · 02/12/2016 12:44

OxfordStreet, absolutely. It is so refreshing to see a President of teh United States and a politician who respects other countries and leaders and doesn't wag a finger at them and lecture them.

Trump is not there to lecture people, he wants to get along with people and that is great for the whole world because it means this artifical "divide and rule" that the elites have created with their phoney "Assad must gos" while backing head chopping Jihadis and terrorists from all over the world who are trying to topple legitimate secular governments will finally come to an end.

OP posts:
Lweji · 02/12/2016 12:45

He actually didn't show any respect, he only showed his ignorance. That is not respectful when speaking to a foreign leader.

InformalRoman · 02/12/2016 12:48

You most definitely do not make a wagging finger phone call to Pakistan, reminding them of their lack of cooperation and their transgressions.

Nope - you save that for your Tweets:

6th Dec 20111:

Get it straight: Pakistan is not our friend. When our tremendous Navy SEALS took out Osama bin Laden ... (cont)

17th Jan 2012:

Get it straight: Pakistan is not our friend. We’ve given them billions and billions of dollars, and what did we get? Betrayal and disrespect—and much worse.

5th July 2012:

When will Pakistan apologize to us for providing safe sanctuary to Osama Bin Laden for 6 years?! Some "ally."

claig · 02/12/2016 12:50

'When will Pakistan apologize to us for providing safe sanctuary to Osama Bin Laden for 6 years?! Some "ally."'

They will now, because Trump is in charge and Trump will get along fine with Pakistan, as he will will nearly every once else, apart from the Jihadis and the elites.

"very good reputation, amazing work, visible in every way, amazing, tremendous, the most intelligent, fantastic country, fantastic place, fantastic people, they are amazing, exceptional people."

Well, they are amazing people, it's just that the politics of the country is shit. You have to be gracious, perhaps over-gracious, in these situations because you are hopefully establishing a rapport for the future.

This is not duplicious talk, this is a long-practised, formal and formalised method of introducing yourself.

You chaps have spent too long in those Hills.

OxfordStreet · 02/12/2016 12:54

Those tweets are 4 yrs old. You cannot go steaming in with a belligerent attitude. You seem unable to understand diplomacy. Only teenagers conduct themselves with a chip on their shoulders ...... are you one?

Lweji · 02/12/2016 12:55

I think Pakistanis are great people. I know a few.

That is neither here nor there.

What happened is that Trump just waved a generic flattering speech that did him no favours.
He sounds like he doesn't know what he's doing, instead of a statesman.

claig · 02/12/2016 12:55

100% right, OxfordStreet. It is just common sense to treat people nicely and that is what Trump does. He does it naturally. They have to train people like Osborne and Miliband how to do it at Oxford, and they still mess it up.

OP posts:
Lweji · 02/12/2016 12:57

The fact is that he tweeted that. Pakistan will be well aware of them.
And Trump is the one who seems unable to understand diplomacy.

claig · 02/12/2016 12:59

Ever wondered why our great country was in so much shit? We are lions led by ,from Oxbridge. But it is all over now. Cameron is long gone, and Theresa May is good and will keep the twerps in line.
