The last one filled up quickly.

More discussion on the significance of Trump, Trumpism and the Trumpsters and what it all means for Blairites.

But, InformalRoman, they wouldn't be stupid enough to buy them. Channel 4 News would probably try to seel them, but no one believes them any more. The spin no longer works, the people are "thirsty" for Trump news, the people prefer Trump.

Actually, "the people" prefer Hillary,

Animosity between Turkey and Russia/Syria is concerning. I don't think it will lead to WWIII, but there are likely to be more diplomatic crises in the future; Putin and Erdogan are both egotistical, autocratic bullies desperate to prove how tough they are to their own people. It is inevitable that they will square up to each other even if neither really wants full war.
Just imagine how interesting things are going to get when you add a third egotistical, autocratic bully desperate to prove how tough he is......

"Have you watched Kubricks' Dr Strangelove"

Yes Claig I have. It was a while ago, but wasn't the whole thing kicked off when a powerful man (I think a general in the film) went mad and started to believe in nuts conspiracy theories?

squishysquirmy · 01/12/2016 10:25

' but wasn't the whole thing kicked off when a powerful man (I think a general in the film) went mad and started to believe in nuts conspiracy theories?'

Can't remembr. Never watched the whole thing, just snippets.

Here we go Claig:
www.imdb.com/title/tt0057012/
"An insane general triggers a path to nuclear holocaust that a war room full of politicians and generals frantically try to stop...."
It's not exactly an advert for putting an insane man in charge of nuclear codes, so I'm unsure why you brought it up.
"...Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the Trump..."

Claig - Take a look at this interview yesterday of Aleppo MP Fares Shehabi by Jon Snow.

www.channel4.com/news/aleppo-syrian-mp-fares-shehabi

claig · 01/12/2016 10:38

I'll have to watch it on my other computer or my phone in a minute. This computer is being retired, and I have unplugged half of it and removed teh speakers. They are delivering a brand new Cyber Monday one today. The salesperson said it was a "super compooter" which is why I had to pay that price for it. The salesperson said it was all singing, all dancing, unpacks itself and sets itself up. The salesperson said it had an HDMI, wifi and a "my oh my". I pretended I knew what they all were and said if it had all that, the price was a bargain, and teh salesperson agreed.

Will watch it in a minute and get back to you on it.

It was a very interesting interview. The brief footage at the end was very sad. Sad.

Southallgirl · 01/12/2016 10:51

Let me know how you get on with your new computer, because I will have to retire my one soon as well. I had this one specially built for me years ago with carefully selected 'best of' components that I researched myself. But I cant upgrade it anymore.

claig · 01/12/2016 10:58

Thanks, Southallgirl, that was a brilliant interview in showing us all how spin works. Jon Snow, the Voice of Big Brother, reading off a teleprompter and shouting down the truth with his "You don't care a damn" as if that liar cares more than the Syrian MP about his on people.

Read Orwell and weep. No wonder Trump called all the mainstream media " a room full of liars". No wonder they all fear Trump and how he tells the truth. But the populist revolt continues all over Europe. No one believes their spin any more. Blair doesn't "understand" what is happening in politics, the people all need a "heart transplant", he says, the man with no heart and soul.

"They want to start WWIII over Syria. Give me a break"

squishysquirmy · 01/12/2016 11:04

"Read Orwell and weep": You should, Claig.

Southallgirl · 01/12/2016 11:12

Claig I too thought Jon Snow's anger was not about the Syrians so much as the fact that Shehabi identified the immediate danger, which are the insurgents. Let's deal with those first.
How can Snow forget what he's seen in all those vids that ISIS put out - burning to death of a captured pilot and the beheadings.

claig · 01/12/2016 11:17

Snow is a spinner and nothing else. It's all spin. They have to do it. It's Orwell x 10

Trump said the mainstream media was "a room full of liars", he called them "a dusgrace" to their face. They hate Trump because he has got their number, which is why so many people love Trump.

OP posts:
claig · 01/12/2016 11:21

It was the same throughout Brexit on Channel 4 News and the BBC, Brexit supportesr were "racist" and thick to boot, then Trump was a "racist" and thick to boot, and so it goes until the people finally defeat the spinners and restore common sense.

Trump's victory has shocked the spinners to the core, they never saw it coming, they didn't believe it could happen, just as they didn't believe the British people would dare defy the OECD and the IMF.

OP posts:
claig · 01/12/2016 11:30

The more you listen to Trump, the more you realise that this is a revolution and he has the elite's number. Trump is Winston in 1984, only this time Big Brother loses and the people win.

"Anyone who challenges their control is deemed a sexist, a racist, a xenophobe. They will lie, lie lie and then again they will do worse than that; they will do whatever is necessary. "

Trump has smashed their "political correctness" cage bars and freed the people. The Eloi are free.

"Do you REALLY think anyone wants to start WW3? Let alone to stop Trump?"

Yes.

https://www.rt.com/news/367922-eu-resolution-russian-media/

http://thefreethoughtproject.com/media-silent-house-passes-no-fly-zone/

The EU legislitive did indeed vote these restrictions in last week

The US senate did indeed pass the Ceasar Syria bill last week.

Absolutely yes, of course they would engineer a war. No one mentions regime overthrow. No one mentions the arming of ISIS.

Theyve taken legislitaive, legislative steps with no basis or foundation, in the last 2 weeks. With the passing of this legislation, Russia, is now a terrorist organisation in the eyes of the EU. They are acting quickly. Assad with Russian support are the bad guys, versus the US west supported rebel good guys.

Aleppo has been going on for 4 years. 4 years of back door deals to support the rebels to overthrow the government. 4 years. They are astounded that the rebels havent succeeded in that time, what should have been a pretty quick regime overthrow, drags into its 5th year.

The question always has been, why? Why do we want to overthrow christian supporting, secular Assad with an Islamic rebel regime?

Heres one view, but there are thousands of views out there.

https://www.quora.com/Why-do-we-want-to-overthrow-Bashar-Al-Assad-of-Syria-who-is-actually-secular-has-modern-lifestyle-and-against-the-religious-extremists

Trump threatens all of that, and as I said thousands of posts back, can the world afford to wait till January? They are acting quickly in a desperate desperate attempt manipulate a situation that even Trump in power in January, would have difficulty reversing.

(And for those who just cant even look at RT or alt media, heres some comfy links.)

So unlike our MPs, Syrian MPs are not "servants of the elite" or "PPEs", and must be given an easy ride by interviewers or it's unacceptable "spin"?

squishysquirmy · 01/12/2016 11:44

Don't panic yet Chris:
"MEPs suggested reinforcing the EU’s “strategic communication” task force and investing more in awareness raising, media literacy, online and local media as well as investigative journalism. The resolution calls on EU member states to boost funding for counter-propaganda projects. The European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) is not convinced by this controversial resolution...."

.... Not quite world war three then. And there is opposition from the supposedly evil-servants-of-the-elite journalists, so maybe the "elite puppet masters" forgot to send them the latest memo.

This extract was also interesting:
"The report also mentions some "social media and internet trolls" from Russia who are thought to "challenge democratic values."

Chris1234567890 · 01/12/2016 11:48

As of early this year, ISIS controls more than 50 percent of Syrian territory; it is without a doubt the best-funded and best-equipped terrorist organization the world has ever seen. Approximately three dozen jihadist groups across 18 nations have pledged allegiance to the Islamic State; more than 20,000 foreign fighters from more than 50 nations have joined their cause.

This is what Jon Snow isnt reporting on in Syria. Jon Snow buries the whole, who is funding ISIS question. In Jon Snows world, ISIS are a bunch of small time 'Four Lion' movie type incompetants.
He couldnt be further from the truth.

claig · 01/12/2016 11:52

'So unlike our MPs, Syrian MPs are not "servants of the elite" or "PPEs", and must be given an easy ride by interviewers or it's unacceptable "spin"?'

Of course they are not "servants of the elite" because the elite are backing the Jihadis who are trying to overthrow their country. Jon Snow is an actor, his anger is "fake", he does the same shouting act to Farage or to any Trump supporter he interviews on Channel 4 News, as he implies that Trump is a "racist". It is an act, he is a spinner, a fake, a flake. He hopes to receive a biscuit from the elite for his performance.

"....the legislation would impose fresh sanctions on entities conducting business with the Assad regime and its military and intelligence agencies. A number of regime-controlled industries, including in the airline, telecommunications and energy sectors, would also be targeted. The legislation would also require the U.S president to report to Congress on the prospects for a no-fly zone in Syria. It also aims to encourage negotiations by allowing the President to waive sanctions if the parties are engaged in meaningful negotiations and the violence against civilians has ceased. The bill would authorize the Secretary of State to support entities that are collecting and preserving evidence for the eventual prosecution of those who committed war crimes and crimes against humanity in Syria from March 2011 to the present, require the President to report to Congress on the names of those who are responsible for or complicit in gross violations of human rights of the Syrian people...."

From your wiki link on the Caesar Syria bill. Not WWIII either.

And from all your links, I can't see anything that says a no-fly zone had actually been imposed? The legislation seemed to concern assessing the implications of a no-fly zone. You may consider that nit-picking, but it's a pretty serious distinction.

squishysquirmy · 01/12/2016 11:58

I have seen loads of news stories in the main stream media about ISIS. To say they aren't covering the story is a blatant lie.
