I know it was a few pages back but can you give detail on the thinly veiled racist scorn on Diane Abbott? I saw the show and didn't notice !!!

claig · 16/11/2016 10:04

takesnoprisoners, you are right about Farage. He didn't support Trump 100%, he tried to hedge his bets, but at least he did support Trump.

I have never seen anyone as fearless as Katie, she is scared of nothing and no one, she is a Trump.

Reddish Ed is appalled by freedom and democracy.

I mean really, are these people trying to put stand ups out of business? They're having a hard enough time satirising current politicians without unhelpful comments from failed ones.

Alfieisnoisy · 16/11/2016 12:05

Oh please...not a Katie Hopkins love in as well. Do some of you have ANY redeeming features. She is an utter troll and can fuck off to the far side of the world for all I care. Hideous bloody woman. Sadly no other country seems to want her.

howabout · 16/11/2016 16:04

Trope if you didn't see it, despite watching, then there is no point giving it any more airtime to it. None so blind is a fairly consistent refrain atm.

Tropezienne · 16/11/2016 17:09

No need to be rude, I just didn't see it and I'm genuinely interested to know what was said/implied or whatever. Maybe I was yacking at the time..?

Tropezienne · 16/11/2016 17:21

Perhaps I should mention. As a Black Woman myself I feel I perhaps have a stake dog in this fight! I've googled up Dianne Abbot subtle racist scorn on HIGNFY on 11th nov. But found no reference or mention of it anywhere.

Tropezienne · 16/11/2016 17:22

Oops I meant to say: As a Black Woman myself I feel I perhaps have a stake dog in this fight!

Tropezienne · 16/11/2016 17:23

Shit, I've done it again. I have a dog in this fight! Somebody kill me please!!

toomanypetals · 16/11/2016 17:54

Craig, you do realise that political correctness serves to take away taboo from calling out racist and sexist hate talk? It stops them being normalised?

Bigots love to bleat on about political correctness and mourn the good old days when we could call black folk niggers and women sluts.

What is this anyway? A Claig arse-licking thread because she was right about Trump?

Bitofacow · 16/11/2016 18:06

Alfieisnoisey A concise and accurate summation of the situation.

It takes me hours to express how I feel about her but you're just bang onSmile

claig · 16/11/2016 18:06

No, political correctness is not about stopping racism and sexism, it is really used to control thought.

Political correctness is not about being polite.

Political correctness is something that is used Big Brother style to make more and more political topics unquestionable and incorrect to challenge in order to allow elites to push through policies without any opposition.

It is Big Brother stuff which is why it is antithetical to free speech and free thought which is why it is the number one issue that most real conservatives care about and which Trump has demolished by refusing to bow to it.

OP posts:
toomanypetals · 16/11/2016 18:11

Ironic to reference Orwell Claig - because that just read like a load of Newspeak to me.

Racist, sexist thoughts can't be controlled but they can be prevented from having a normalised voice in the public sphere.

You admire Katie Hopkins? Let me guess, she tells it how it is so you admire her honest black and white stance on issues?

By the way, Trump's tweets sound like a wounded narcissist lashing out at anyone who criticises his fragile ego, not dignified and intelligent at all.

toomanypetals · 16/11/2016 18:16

Since the shock of Trump has subsided a bit, I've seen more and more support online. More people reconciling and saying 'Ah well, it might not be so bad.'

He hired a fucking white supremacist as his chief communications officer. Wake up.

I'm convinced there is an army of Trump trolls online, trying to confuse and normalise.

Well it won't work on me. If this was such a big revolution for the left behind Claig, why did 88 percent of black people vote against Trump - answer me that.

claig · 16/11/2016 18:19

'Racist, sexist thoughts can't be controlled but they can be prevented from having a normalised voice in the public sphere. '

Being politically incorrect has nothing to do with insulting people because of their race or sex. Germaine Greer was banned from speaking on campuses before her views on transgender offended thought that was deemed "correct" "politically".

'You admire Katie Hopkins? Let me guess, she tells it how it is so you admire her honest black and white stance on issues?'

Yes. I don't agree with everything she says, or that Germaine Greer says, but I admire their courage in standing up for free speech and free thought against the closing of discussion that political correctness seeks to bring about.

'By the way, Trump's tweets sound like a wounded narcissist lashing out at anyone who criticises his fragile ego, not dignified and intelligent at all.'

Maybe, but so what? It is no big deal if he is a narcissist. Who cares?

OP posts:
Missswatch · 16/11/2016 18:30

Toomanypetals the liberal media were blowing his 'racism' out of proportion. If he was really that racist how come he never said any slurs to Ben Carson?

toomanypetals · 16/11/2016 18:33

Maybe you should Google Narcissistic Personality Disorder?

You admire people who stand up for the right to call people racist names and woman-hating ideology? To demonise groups of people by using words like 'swarm of migrants'.

claig · 16/11/2016 18:35

'He hired a fucking white supremacist as his chief communications officer. Wake up.'

He didn't. That is another media lie. Haven't you watched and seen how they have lied throughout? Bannon is not a "white supremacist". When has he ever said anything against any other race? It is all lies by the media and their teams.

'If this was such a big revolution for the left behind Claig, why did 88 percent of black people vote against Trump - answer me that.'

Because most black people always vote Democrat, but Trump got the largest percentage of black votes since the 1950s, he increased the amount that any other Republican got and that is despite the media elites, their teams and spinners non-stop portrayal of Trump as a racist which is all untrue.

Missswatch · 16/11/2016 18:36

Better than Hillary who had a past with the KKK

claig · 16/11/2016 18:37

'You admire people who stand up for the right to call people racist names and woman-hating ideology? To demonise groups of people by using words like 'swarm of migrants'.'

No, I don't. It was some senior conservative politicians who sais the country was being "swamped" by immigrants. I don't agree with that or like that language.

"John Cleese: Political Correctness Will Lead To An Orwellian Nightmare

John Cleese says political correctness has gone too far, especially on America's college campuses, where he will no longer go to perform. As BigThink reports, the very essence of his trade — comedy — is criticism and that not infrequently means hurt feelings. But protecting everyone from negative emotion all the time is not only impractical (one can't control the feelings of another), but also improper in a free society.

Cleese, having worked with psychiatrist Robin Skynner, says there may even be something more sinister behind the insistence to be always be politically correct.

"If you start to say we mustn't, we mustn't criticize or offend them then humor is gone. With humor goes a sense of proportion. And then as far as I'm concerned you're living in 1984."

www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-02-01/john-cleese-political-correctness-will-lead-orwellian-nightmare

The elites who push this know exactly what they are doing. It is spelt out in 1984, it is thought control to remove freedom because they don't want anyone to oppose what they deem to be "correct" in a "political" sense.

That is why their teams of media liars, Oxbridge teams etc, promote lies such as the vote for Trump was a "whitelash" or that Steve Bannon, Harvard Business School student, Gooldman Sachs banker and head of Breitbart which has an office in Jerusalem, is a "white supremacist" according to these teams of liars. They want to divide and rule people on identity politics lines in order to control the people and push the agenda of their elite bosses.

toomanypetals · 16/11/2016 18:54

Steve Bannon headed a Alt right-wing news media sight, which ran stories about Feminists being ugly because of increased testosterone and whites being superior in civil rights cases because they have a more logical stance.

Maybe YOU should do your research...

claig · 16/11/2016 19:04

He didn't say that himself. It is part of free speech.

"Feminists being ugly because of increased testosterone"

That is obviously not meant to be serious if it was written. Offensive stuff is part of free speech. Katie Hopkins says some offensive things. Julie Bindel says things that some people consider offensive. Some stuff in the Guardian is offensive too.

"whites being superior in civil rights cases because they have a more logical stance"

I don't believe Breitbart had that on their site.

Many liberal writers offend straight white men but think it is ok because privilege or patriarchy and other such nonsense

toomanypetals · 16/11/2016 19:13

They did, I'll provide the link.

So anything offensive, is supposed to be taken as a joke? Because, well it's not serious.

Right. Got ya Hmm
