"As President-Elect, Trump Uses YouTube, Twitter to Cut Out the Press

Trump has so little use for the traditional press that he used Twitter to tell New York Times staffers he was bailing on them

After tearing into media executives at a meeting on Monday and abruptly canceling a meeting with the New York Times via Twitter on Tuesday, President-elect Donald Trump is using yet another tool to strip the traditional news media of their power and relevance: social media."

www.thewrap.com/donald-trump-uses-youtube-twitter-bypass-disempower-press/

Trump is bypassing the mainstream media because he knows their game, he knows they are in the pockets of the billionaires ranged against him, the elites. Trump is a political genius, he is going direct to the people.

Channel 4 News is in turmoil, Oxbridge teams are off their heads, spin no longer working, crisis over climate change policy that Trump may pursue, Oxbridge talking heads in tears as Trump tears up their certainties, elites outplayed, spinners powerless to stop Trump.

ABC host in tears at Trump victory and Hillary defeat.

Trump scolds mainstream media. They are powerless now, everyone knows their game. Watch them every night on TV trying to knock Trump and spin, but as every day passes, they know they can no longer win.

I wonder why Claig is doing the work of this white supremacist millionaire for him. It's curious.

Kaija · 22/11/2016 22:19

Good article here (taken from another thread) on Trump's propaganda techniques. As the author says "if you aren't yet worried you are brain dead":

"As President-Elect, Trump Uses YouTube, Twitter to Cut Out the Press

So the 'Trump Channel' to replace MSM. Hurrah, we are all saved.

MakeItStopNeville · 22/11/2016 22:27

But what is he actually using his Twitter account for? To silence his critics and to tell off a Broadway musical. Nothing about the far right demonstrations that have occurred in his name. Nothing about the criticism that his family's security is costing NYC $1 million PER DAY. One brief tweet that he paid off his law suit, oh, sorry, "settled".

It wasn't just ABC hosts in tears. It was, and still is, millions of Americans who are genuinely fearful of what the Trump Presidency holds and represents. I know you think this is one big joke, Claig, but it's really, REALLY not.

SwedishEdith · 22/11/2016 22:28

"Trump has so little use for the traditional press that he used Twitter to tell New York Times staffers he was bailing on them"

And then changed his mind.

claig · 22/11/2016 22:29

I don't know why you are doing Blair's work for him. It's predictable.

Trump is the best thing to hit the world, he s shaking it up, bigging up our own Nige, and mocking all the bigwigs and their media servants who try to spin the people.

You only have to watch Channel 4 News or BBC Newsnight to see what a spin Trump has got the spinners in.

Here si Channel $ News's Jon Snow trying his old tricks, but they don't work any more, and the more desperate the teams get, the more the people see through them

Calling him a "white supremacist" is the last refuge of scoundrels.

OP posts:
Kaija · 22/11/2016 22:30

"I don't know why you are doing Blair's work for him. It's predictable."

That is beyond pathetic

claig · 22/11/2016 22:33

Blair, you mean? For once I agree with you.

OP posts:
Kaija · 22/11/2016 22:35

Not a white supremacist? Well who knows what he really believes.

But he has appointed a chief strategist who certainly is. He has failed to denounce the KKK and American Nazis who have been extremely vocal in their support of him, and crowds of white supremacists - AltRight I'm sure you would call them - have been giving Nazi salutes while chanting "Heil Trump". That's enough for me.

Kaija · 22/11/2016 22:38

So I suppose the question is, Claig, are you actually a white supremacist yourself, or just happy to go along with it in the interests of "shaking up the establishment".

I think your audience here really deserves an answer on this one.

GlassCircles · 22/11/2016 22:39

Trump is the best thing to hit the world, he s shaking it up, bigging up our own Nige, and mocking all the bigwigs and their media servants who try to spin the people.

All he is doing is trolling the spinners and tittering to himself at how clever he is. Then he'll don his bully-boy jackboots and indulge his prejudices and personal vendettas for his own amusement,

Kaija · 22/11/2016 22:41

Not sure he's capable of amusement. His own profit certainly.

claig · 22/11/2016 22:42

Bannon is not a "white supremacist", that is yet another lie of the desperate media teams.

Trump did denounce the KKK and as the black radio host interviewed by Jon Snow said, there are about 3700 American far right Nazi types, so she said she finds it strange that the media gives them so much attention.

But that is one of teh old tricks of the media teams, but everyone sees through it, and that is why Trump has no respect for the teams. This is what he said to the teams

"We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong.’ He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was [a] network of liars,”

Of course, it is not just Trump who realises that, the people know it too and the more tricks the teams use, the more it becomes obvious.

OP posts:
Kaija · 22/11/2016 22:43

Yes, Bannon is a white supremacist.

claig · 22/11/2016 22:46

Of course I am not a white supremacist and nor is Trump. Why would the legendary Stump for Trump Sisters support a white supremacist?

Are you a Blairite, could you use the same old Oxbridge techniques of spin? Do you do the hand gestures too?

OP posts:
SwedishEdith · 22/11/2016 22:47

Do you agree with this then?

[[http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/11/richard-spencer-speech-npi/508379/ “America was until this past generation a white country designed for ourselves and our posterity,” Spencer said. “It is our creation, it is our inheritance, and it belongs to us.”

The audience offered cheers, applause, and enthusiastic Nazi salutes]]

Kaija · 22/11/2016 22:47

Some reactions to Bannon's appointment:

“Perhaps The Donald is for real,” Rocky Suhayda, chairman of the American Nazi Party, told CNN in an segment that included interviews with several white nationalists.
Trump’s hiring of Bannon has drawn bitter criticism from Democrats, but white nationalists believe it’s evidence the president-elect intends to live up to his campaign promises to deport illegal immigrants and build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.
David Duke, a former KKK leader who lost his Senate bid last week in Louisiana, called Bannon’s hiring an “excellent” decision.

Kaija · 22/11/2016 22:47

Trump has not denounced these people since the election.

birdsdestiny · 22/11/2016 22:47

It's odd though isn't it. I know he is the President, I know he is wealthy beyond words, but is it just me or does he come across as the most insecure man in the world. It's in his walk, it's in his reactions, it's in the way he talks to women. He just screams insecurity. Insecure men can be very dangerous. I assume that explains the affinity with Farage.

GlassCircles · 22/11/2016 22:48

Not sure he's capable of amusement. His own profit certainly.

Actually he IS kind of chillingly humourless. Maybe he does it for Claig's amusement?

PacificDogwod · 22/11/2016 22:50

Kaija, there's really no point in expecting any kind of reasoned or logical debate here.

Kaija · 22/11/2016 22:51

I'm not expecting it, Pacific, but when fascist propaganda is smearing itself all over these boards you have to call it out.
