Stop Corbyn Plan

Only way to stop Corbyn from Labour leader is to cancel the election, re-invite the nominations and make sure that 'morons' don't nominate Corbyn again.

See the plot. AB camp is calling for urgent meeting with Labour HQ. Many genuine Labour supporters being denied vote. What else 'any one but Corbyn' can do now?

Why does Tories keep losing in Scotland?

OP posts:
Redkite2015 · 12/09/2015 08:34

Also have far fewer seats in Scittish Assembly, despite PR system - not First past the post.

Scottish Assembly

Labour being not left wing enough had nothing to do with them loosing Scottish votes.

Claig I wonder where JC will get the funding to renationalise the railways, energy companies, water companies, Royal Mail etc. no more privatisation of the NHS - is that the privatisation that labour kicked off? Maybe it's just all pie in the sky and knows he won't ever be PM so can say what he thinks knowing he won't ever have to deliver...

claig · 12/09/2015 09:16

'Claig I wonder where JC will get the funding to renationalise the railways'

I think he will get it from the corporations and clamping down on coprorate tax evasion. Maybe he will even hit the charidees and the luvvies (but probably not because he is politically correct).

HamaTime · 12/09/2015 09:19

Privatisation of the NHS is eye waveringly expensive. Knocking it on the head and getting rid of the £10billion a year internal market would be a blessing. Labour were cads to start off NHS privatisation and the £250billion PFI contracts but the current government have spent the last 5 years systematically transferring public money into private hands and labour having mucky hands from 10 years ago is not sufficient reason to not halt the drain now.

HamaTime · 12/09/2015 09:21

some figures on railway subsidies

Redkite2015 · 12/09/2015 09:21

Renationalising Trains should not cost any thing. Just not re-sell the franchises when these expires.

Tight price control on utilities will make it cheaper to buy off these off.

NHS is only about 7% privatised (mostly during AB charge). PFI contracts will take longer, but many other contracts are shirt term.

Redkite2015 · 12/09/2015 09:22

Short term in the last line. Oops.

OP posts:
Redkite2015 · 12/09/2015 09:25

Even stopping more privatisation in NHS would keep money within NHS. After all, private firms work for profit. Why not keep that profit element within NHS?

I just hope he tells the likes of Nellist and Galloway where to go if they want to rejoin the party.

they were thrown out for a reason

ChristineDePisan · 12/09/2015 12:47

is no one else troubled by JC's Islamist sympathies?

ALassUnparalleled · 12/09/2015 12:49

I'm certainly bothered by his IRA sympathies.

Redkite2015 · 12/09/2015 12:51

No....

HC is being misrepresented and being misquoted, out of context, by a particular mindset, who want to create misunderstanding between people of Britain and elsewhere.

JC would work for peace in the world and negotiated settlements.

OP posts:
ChristineDePisan · 12/09/2015 12:53

Good point. I'll amend my question to "is no one else troubled by JC's terrorist sympathies?"

I know it was a long time ago but I'd question the judgement of anyone who did that.

Seems he hasn't changed.

And if this puts me off, someone who actually is and has always been a Labour voter , how do you think this plays to former supporters or never supported?

Redkite2015 · 12/09/2015 15:39

As we can see from the voting for JC and his winning margin, almost no one is bothered by the efforts to stir trouble for JC for his views to bring all parties to table and find negotiated settlement, like we did in NI.

The Palestenian question should be resolved in the light of the various UN resolutions, hopefully.

OP posts:
Redkite2015 · 12/09/2015 15:44

That is the gist of what JC had been proposing. No, I and it seems, every one else, except for a very small number of people, are not bothered. We are more interested in lot of other things, like NHS, transport, Raolways, housing, utilities, monopolies, privatisation etc.

OP posts:
Redkite2015 · 12/09/2015 15:44

Railways in the last line.

OP posts:
evilpopstar · 12/09/2015 15:46

I voted for JC After much thought and soul searching. When he won I found myself to be more relieved than I ever imagined and felt that in that moment the world was s better place for anyone who is poor or disenfranchised. I did not expect to feel that way but I simply did. A better and real dialogue on social justice will now ensue.

Redkite2015 · 12/09/2015 15:47

I think JC would ignore these distractions, like he ignored personal attacks and make positive contribution to politics and peace.

I cant help having concerns for his safety though :(
