Election tonight on tv. Dont envy Julie Etchingham trying to keep 7 leaders in order.

It should make good TV. But Fararge and Cameron will try to dominate.
Are you watching?

I thought the chair was a bit weak and at times she seemed to have lost control of them squabbling.

Overall I think the winner is Cameron & Sturgeon. Why?

Because firstly Sturgeon got to go toe to toe with 'the westminster lot' and of course blame everything on them. Paint them to be the baddies and as a result come across looking very reasonable.

Secondly Cameron's goal was really to water down the head to head debate to the point where it would have no effective impact unlike last time when it gave a HUGE boost to Nick Clegg. I think he got what he wanted.

As a one off the "Big 7" was ok. (got 7 million viewers)

But we are crying out for policies. (Dont think the leaders will spill the real beans in their manifestoes.)

Perception of winners seems to be in the minds of the beholders.

There seems to be serious opinion polls. And not so serious . The phone polls often seem flippant.
But, of course, the major parties all hve their expensive private polls.

And aussie adviser Lynton Crosby whispers in camerons ear. Labour has an Amirican adviser. ( But these 2 geezers have experience of other countries elections) Seems a bit odd.
