It should make good TV. But Fararge and Cameron will try to dominate.
Are you watching?

probably. not sure it will be very productive.

they'll all end up trying to talk over each other I expect.

chockbic · 02/04/2015 12:25

I'm going to watch it but hope they will explain their policies, and not just attack each other.

Seeker33 · 02/04/2015 12:45

If they get too pushy Julie could fade in the song ......
"Some enchanted ......egoes"

JustCallMeDory · 02/04/2015 20:04

Anyone watching?

Just going to keep posting until this becomes THE thread.

JustCallMeDory · 02/04/2015 20:05

Grit and resilience Nick? Reslience? Tuition fees ringing any bells?

JustCallMeDory · 02/04/2015 20:07

Really? No-one else watching? BBC News 24. They've got a worm and everything.

claig · 02/04/2015 20:10

Watching

claig · 02/04/2015 20:11

"Liberal Democrat plan is a very simple one" says Clegg.

No surprise there then.

YonicScrewdriver · 02/04/2015 20:13

There's another thread...

claig · 02/04/2015 20:15

Faage hits them with real spending cuts. The others have no answer, just waffle.

99pokerface · 02/04/2015 20:25

Nigel is making me laugh to be fair hes like wtf is going on

99pokerface · 02/04/2015 20:27

Nigel farage is the strongest sadly the green lady is sruggling

claig · 02/04/2015 20:48

'Nigel farage is the strongest '

Yep, no doubt.

This is a huge strategic mistake by Cameron. he is now a mere bit player, just one of seven. the combined voices of teh other six drown him out and he seems irrelevant.

His advisers thought his was his best choice, but this is a disaster for him because all the other 6 are on an equal footing and of course Farage is tearing a strip off of him.

claig · 02/04/2015 21:11

Julie Etchingham doing a very good job. Handling them well.

claig · 02/04/2015 21:27

John Rentoul, a Labour type as far as I know, is spot on in a tweet

"John Rentoul
@JohnRentoul
Farage very clear and making what a lot of TV audience will think are good points. Conspired against by wiffly wafflies."

99pokerface · 02/04/2015 21:41

I need a wee now it's all getting yawn
Labour brought in tuition fees 3k I think

claig · 02/04/2015 21:45

Yep, Labour started it.

They are "all in it together" apart from UKIP, which is why they all dislike and fear UKIP and the truth.

claig · 02/04/2015 21:51

Nothing at all on foreign policy. Amazing. Dumbed down.

Farage would have wiped the floor with the lot of them on foreign policy. Shame it wasn't on the agenda.

claig · 02/04/2015 21:58

Fantastic Farage closing speech. Lambasts the "politically correct political class" and spells out that UKIP will shake the whole lot of them up.

claig · 02/04/2015 22:16

ITV/Comres poll results of the debate

Farage %21
Cameron %21
Miliband %21

Farage off for a pint to celebrate, luvvies leaving with heads hung low for a two kitchenette cocoa.

The people celebrate, knees-ups in hostelries, people bashing out the old tunes on pianners, the people's revolution continues!

HappydaysArehere · 02/04/2015 22:19

Been deliberating, cogitating, listening to everything, reading and now sat thro the big tv debate. Still don't know for sure! The only thing I am sure is that the NHS is in a far worse state than five years ago. Before that the likelihood of getting an op was a far better proposition
and there were more A & Es. So less chaos........still thinking. When in that ballot booth I reckon I will go with my gut feeling in the hope that my sub conscience will have a done a job sorting out and collating all my thoughts.

claig · 02/04/2015 22:25

After debate

30% more likely to vote Labour
29% more likely to vote Conservative
22% more likely to vote UKIP

UKIP hot on their tails. Panic in their spin rooms.

ChlorinePerfume · 02/04/2015 22:36

there were more A & Es

Our local A&E was closed and mothballed under the previous Labour government. Our GP is now also offering one late weekday surgery and a Saturday morning which is handy as we work during the day.

HappydaysArehere · 04/04/2015 08:23

Dont care to hear about all this talk of coalitions. In order to be effective a Government needs a majority. I am old enough to remember the chaotic state of French Government when their governments changed on a weekly basis. I remember Harold Wilson receiving a small majority, forming a government but then returning to the country for a mandate to do the job properly. He got it.
