Evening all!

LJ - I heard Aled this morning, and could be heard to bellow - I know that lady, she's on Mumsnet ! It is a beautiful song, and will be tuning in next week.

CC - good luck tomorrow, hope all goes well. Big hugs.

CD - glad party went well and DD1 wasn't too "wibbly" although boo to the pictures

MJIM - hope today went really well.

Few healing prayers for DP if you have the time. He had a small op on Friday and is in quite a lot of discomfort. For fear of TMI, if I now announce a pg with DC3, there will be a lot of explaining to do

Also prayers of patience for me as I deal with DP's younger and extrememly horrid trying sister tomorrow afternoon. Thank you.

BouncingTurtle · 01/03/2009 20:56

Evening all - have not been back long from Scotland where DH, DS and I have had a lovely break. Praise God the weather was lovely, even warm and sunny at times!
Saw some beautiful scenery, mountains, rivers and lochs that make me thankful for the beautiful world that our Creator has given us.

LoveBeingAMummy · 01/03/2009 22:19

Hello

I was wondering if I could ask for you to say a prayer for my father who has colon cancer. I am trying to stay strong but am finding it hard.

Thanks

MaryBS · 02/03/2009 07:21

Praying LBAM, for your father, and for strength for you and all your family. Don't feel you have to be strong all the time and DO be gentle with yourself.

amber32002 · 02/03/2009 07:26

DH is doing really well, thanks. He's had huge amounts of sleep and has lost a stone in weight through sensible eating etc already this year, so I think there's much that's positive that can come out of this for him. Our relationship has always been positive, thank goodness (and God of course), though never one easily describable to people who are used to standard relationships rather than the ones experienced by a pair of Aspies

Prayers continuing for all...

webstermum · 02/03/2009 13:40

Praying for everyone as I catch up. Have been awol for a couple of days, feeling very low but have hospital appointment this Thursday. Praise indeed that DH came to Church with us all yesterday, how wonderful to have him there for the first service in our newly refurbished Church, there is always hope

MaryBS · 02/03/2009 21:15

Can I recommend this for 3 minutes of tranquility each day?

3 minute daily retreat

Praying for peace and calm, for all. God knows I need some, the work situation is hideous and there is STILL no news on the dream job

BouncingTurtle · 02/03/2009 21:35

Mary - sorry to hear there's no more news about the job! The waiting's the hardest!

I pray God will always watch over us, sharing in our joys during the good times and offering us comfort during the bad times.

DutchOma · 03/03/2009 08:54

That's a wonderful resource Mary, thank you for flagging that up.
Praying that you will soon hear about the 'dream' job and that work might be bearable just for today.

amber32002 · 03/03/2009 09:27

Prayers aplenty for everyone as we start a new day. May God guide us, protect us, strengthen us, be there for us...

Swaliswan · 03/03/2009 10:15

Morning All,

I'm sorry to come on here and just selfish post a prayer request, but here goes....

DH and my mum are both away. I've been up for much of the night with terrible BHs and have been unable to get comfortable. I'm still niggling away lots now and still can't get comfortable. Sorry if this is TMI, but I also had a 'clearout' during the night and am hoping that this is purely a bug. The day before I gave birth to DD, I had a similar clearout and lots of niggling BHs that were stopping me from getting comfortable and sleeping. I'm only 32 weeks pg and haven't even packed my bag. I think that it's just a bug, but I will freely admit to being really scared.

Please pray.

Am praying SS, have you been to see your MW or just gone straight to the hospital for a quick "check"!!!? > Hang in there baby!!!! xx

Hoping "Dream Job" is just round the corner MAry. xx

Hope hospital appt is fruitful WB. xx

Hello SBS - how's that new bubba of yours??

OP posts:
Swaliswan · 03/03/2009 14:38

Thank-you for your prayers, Ladies.

I went back to bed for a bit and things seem to have settled down for now. I had a routine appointment with the midwife just now and everything is OK. She did tell me to go straight to the hospital if anything definite develops though. Baby is in a really good position and is growing well. My BP and urine were fine. There doesn't seem to be any way to tell if I'm niggling because I have a bit of a bug or if things may be imminent. Before the weekend I was pretty confident that things would be OK for a while yet so hopefully I just have a bug.

CaptainDippy · 03/03/2009 16:23

I do hope it is just a bug SS. Lots of prayers for you sweetie. Get as much rest as you can ....and pack that bag ....just in case! xx

I just want to say "Praise God", for supportive friends

PandaG · 03/03/2009 18:58

If anyone is around in the next hour or so...I'm a guest speaker at a parenting course tonight, speaking on love languages. don't know if anyone remembers but I helped run the course last year as we trialled it, and am going in just to do one talk this time. AM a bit lot nervous, as I don't know any of the punters and am no expert, so would appreciate prayer. tvm

PandaG · 03/03/2009 19:05

oh, and also it is blowing a hoolie and lashing it down here, I hate driving at the best of times, and have to drive in this somewhere I am not entirely sure where I am going...prayer for safety appreciated!

Swaliswan · 03/03/2009 19:08

Hmmmmmm, nasty BHs have returned and are taking my breath away. I was hoping for a nice comfortable, quiet evening. Maybe I should pack my bag? I'm too tired to have this baby now so I've decided that it isn't allowed to come out yet.
