Snugs · 25/03/2005 22:04

Never let the spooks freak you out. The more you relax and accept all this sort of stuff as normal, the easier you will find it.

Now, dh's snoring on the other hand - that would freak anybody out.

megandsoph · 25/03/2005 22:10

ROFL!!! ohhh snugs poor u try hold his nose hun.

snugs do u know of any spiritulist churches around the area?? used to go to one when I was in southampton haven't been to one in years but would like to start again

OP posts:
Snugs · 25/03/2005 22:12

Not sure at the moment - out of touch with the churches. Do you specifically want spiritualist church or just a circle / platform medium?

megandsoph · 25/03/2005 22:18

aye possibly anywhere where I can get out and meet like minded people. I was neverfelt really completly comfortable with churches as there never seemed to be any people my age but I still enjoyed the feeling of being around people who had a simular beliefs to my own. but another thing about the churches was that I was never able to talk to them about stuff it was like have the service, have a cuppa then leave, I used to leave the cuppa and go home.

Sry everyone for changing the subject

Snugs · 25/03/2005 22:25

Will make some enquiries for you. I really only know this side of the bridge.

I have generally avoided the churches, the services are not to my taste, but there were some good local circles.

Now I just go to a regular meditation night, which then sort of evolves into Reiki or Tarot or whatever anyone wants. You can come if you want, but don't know how you feel about travelling over the bridge when it would probably be a late night.

megandsoph · 25/03/2005 22:31

Am over there most nights with work I can chose the nights off I want also.... and would absolutley love to come over if thats ok. Sry feel a wee bit intrusive and cheeky but if it would be ok I would love to

OP posts:
Snugs · 25/03/2005 22:33

Apparently I saw some sort of 'replay' ghost who just does the same thing over and over and doesn't really interact w/the living. Then why the hell did he show up in the first place? WEIRDO!

Snugs · 25/03/2005 22:56

There is a theory that emotions can be imprinted on the surroundings, so the building itself acts like a tape recorder recording images from the past. So what you have seen would be the 'tape' playing back the images, which are caught in a loop which might play for eternity.

expatinscotland · 25/03/2005 23:01

What a sad way to spend eternity! Man, don't they at least want to go some place warm.

DixiExpat · 27/03/2005 15:10

Before I became a Christian, I followed the teachings of Aleister Crowley. I spent a lot of time channeling and using automatic writing. I had many works written by Crowley, one afternoon I was in a bookstore, walked past a display and felt a breeze, like ice and icy cold breeze and felt as if there were weights or magnets on my feet,I turned my head to the right and there was gigantic book by Crowly called "Magick". It has a magickal seal on the cover, I opened the book to a random page and my hands nearly frooze it was so cold and cool air was rusing from the page...I bought the book (doh!).Went home, sat on my bed with a pen and paper to take notes as I studied the book and suddenly I heard a voice audibly telling me to get my notebook out, as soon as I grasped the pen, my arm/hand began drawing by itself, again it was very cold, the weirdest part was it was maniacally drawing an infinity symbol over and over and over and over.Yikes!...I was accustomed to so called contact at that time but never without going through some sort of ritual and circle casting etc; that same night, I dreamt my boyfriend was dead, but he was in my bedroom cut and bruised begging me to say his name, he handed me my Magick book in the dream and kept saying "Say my name and I can stay, they are going to burn my body tomorrow". The next morning I had a phone call saying that he had been killed in a car accident after being ejected through the windshield and having the car land on top of him, his family had him cremated...P.S I never said his name..waaay too freaky. The night AFTER that I had a dream that 3 black eyed entities were in my closet and came out after I fell asleep and stood at the end of my bed, suddenly in the dream an Angel at least 10 feet tall flashed brightly by my bed and held a sword towards them saying "You cannot touch her and you cannot have her, people are praying for her.".Now...if that isn't enough to make you change your religion I don't know what it lol

megandsoph · 27/03/2005 20:42

DixiExpat,
definetly a gift u have there. I have never tried the automatic writing before think I'm gonna give it ago. the only time I have had a funky dream is when I was about 12 I had a dream I was with my nana and don't laugh but I told her about a crush I had on this wee lad from ( DON'T LAUGH) jurrasic park and had been writing to everywhere he had to do with ie amblin studios the one steven speilberg owned and I really wanted to hear from him.. anyway woke up in the morning to find this lil blue airmail letter from america and it was from this guy sry I but I thought that was bloody weird. LMAO :D

Sry bout the boy who died dixiexpat.

how about these for strange (or maybe just a strange family)...one night many years ago my grandma couldn't sleep and got up to make herself a cup of cocoa. She sat down in the lounge and was just starting down at the floor when she glanced up and saw her fatherinlaw sitting in the opposite chair smiling back at her and nodding reassuringly. Being quite a spooky lady if you know what I mean, she went upstairs to wake my grandad and told him that she thought his dad had died. At that moment the phone rang and it was the hospital to say he had died minutes earlier.
