Oh Jen, what a shock. Plenty of virtual hugs coming your way and ds's. Hope you have a nice weekend, all of you

CaptainCaveman · 05/07/2008 17:36

Just a quickie, will catch up later.

Prayers for you all. Please would you pray that the couple who viewed our house today want to buy it! They seemed keen but you never know?

Also, prayers for me, am so tired now (34 weeks) and ds2 is still breech. My ribs hurt from the constant headbutting. Sorry, I can't seem to stop moaning

MaryBS · 05/07/2008 19:19

Praying CCM! All that butting isn't fun . Praying that your house gets sold soon - bet you've not buried St Joseph in the back garden yet

No more news on Nicole... she was still with us this morning, hopefully will hear more tomorrow.

Had a VERY busy day today, "yoof group caff" this morning, school fete in the earlier part of the afternoon, then DD's football presentation later on, home for a quick BBQ before DH has gone out to staff the church beerfest. He's spending more time at church than I am atm! I did invite him to join us tomorrow, but that was a step too far, apparently

mufti · 05/07/2008 19:26

small steps Mary

Swaliswan · 05/07/2008 19:29

CC if you e-mail me on swaliswan at hotmail dot com, I'll give you my MIL's phone number so that you can arrange some moxabustion treatment if you like. She says that you'll have to start soon though or you won't have enough time for the treatment to work.

MaryBS · 06/07/2008 09:51

Praying for a peaceful Sunday for you all! xxx

Good morning all. Flying by. Soooo much to do.

Hugs and prayers

Swaliswan · 07/07/2008 20:57

Evening All,

Just thought I'd let you know that I've had my blood test results today and they were all fine. I have been referred to a surgeon though about my anal fissures. I'm not very happy about this but know that I have to. Other than that we're all well and happy. I've been very busy but am just about managing.

Praying for you all
xxxxx

MaryBS · 08/07/2008 07:11

Hi SS, good news about blood test results, but about the other...

News on Nicole, as of yesterday, her skin colour is improving, the blotches are going, but her platelet count is low. Still early days, but prayers seem to be being answered

DutchOma · 08/07/2008 08:59

In a way that is a blow SS, about the blood tests. It would have been a relief to find something a bit amiss that could be put right with a couple of pills. About the other? Best of luck.

Good to hear Nicole is holding her own, ongoing prayers for her continued improvement.

CaptainCaveman · 08/07/2008 10:38

I would really appreciate your prayers at the moment - for me to make time to build on my relationship with God. I feel guilty that when things go well I seem to spend less time with Him. I'm off into town today and think I shall spend some time in the Christian bookshop looking for 'Godinspiration' to give me some direction.

Positive news on the house - the couple who came to view say its on their list of favourites, along with 2 or 3 others. I am praying that they come back to us and want to make an offer (but feel that I am 'using/abusing' my relationship with God in asking for this - ifswim?) Arrrrggh, I am so confused!

34+2 - see cons on Thursday at 'small baby clinic' lol - this bubba is anything BUT small, praise the Lord!

sorry for the selfish post, it seems a little 'me, me, me'

CaptainDippy · 08/07/2008 12:01

Thoughts and Prayers honey. xx

Good news about Nicole Mary - praying she continues to improve. xx

Cough still bad, very busy - had a bit of a work-related upset today so feeling rather

FAQ · 08/07/2008 13:34

Update on our Vicar - I saw her this morning, she's starting back at work next Monday, and will be taking the 10am service a week on Sunday

She's not coming back full time yet, but it's a start, is still on the oxygen 16hrs a day but is MUCH better

(oh and I'm fine, still seeing my new man - 2 months now!!)

DutchOma · 08/07/2008 13:37

Praying for CC. If you think about your relationship with your son and how much you love him, think about how much God loves you. Spend some time just being in His presence, soaking up that love for you and your family.
I had a great morning:- some of you know I work in a charity shop which is staffed by our church. We have one customer who is one of my earliest customers, she buys lots of stuff and comes in two, three times a week.
She has been very poorly recently, in and out of hospital and getting very depressed. Last week I asked her if any of us had prayed with her and VERY reluctantly she allowed me to pray for her healing. Our manager, Jane did not know this but when I told her I had prayed with this lady she said how much better she had seemed the day after I had prayed with her. Well she came in this morning and said what a lot of difference our prayers had made. Great isn't it? It's been such an upbeat morning, prayer does make a difference.

CaptainDippy · 08/07/2008 16:39

Fantastic DO .... you've just got to get her to church now!!

@ your new man FAQ Fab stuff about your Vicar!

Lots to Praise God for!!

LOL @ embarassed and Anglican! Welcome to the madness JA We are just here to help / support / listen and to pray for one another. We generally just come on and ask for prayers for ourselves / others / situations and there's generally a summary every now and again .... that's it really. Do just join in!

DutchOma · 08/07/2008 17:00

Welcome justabout.
Yes I know, we will get our friend to church yet. She lives on our patch and I really don't think it will be that much longer before she dips a toe in the water. Best keep on praying eh?
