Good morning CD. LOL at "I am". I'd done a quick calculation and worked out that you might be!! (shouldn't that be "we are", though, or does MrDippy not know yet??!)

We're OK thanks. DS1 is still up and down emotionally, but having a happy few days, which is nice. I amn a bit worried as I can't get him to church these days. He has rugby on a Sunday morning, but when he doesn't go, he's now saying that Sunday School is boring and is only going over what he knows already. TBH he is right and has read his children's Bible cover to cover a couple of times, but I would like him to come along to worship somehow, somewhen . . . Prayers for opportunities, much appreciated.

Right, back to work

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 11:04

Lots of prayer, NQGU, tis a difficult age for "church stuff" - is there a mid-week club he could attend?? Even one attached to another church in the area??

Yes, DH does know! Ssssssh!

OP posts:
PandaG · 15/11/2007 11:47

Hello all

work went really well ysterday, thanks for praying for me. THe staff were very friendly and the children unbelievably accepting of a new member of staff = it was as if 'oh she's wearing the uniform polo shirt she must be meant to be here' am looking forward to going back on Monday!

Praying for you all - NQGU, must be difficult for your DS at church - is there any way he could go to an older group if it is boring? or amidweek group like CD says? Have you seen Roisin's thread about her DS not liking church and not wanting to go? Problem is Roisin's DH is the vicar!

Mary, will pray for your essay

CCM - praying for ttc

UD lovely to see you here, you are very welcome. will pray for that situation

Sooz - good to see you too - praying that you are able to get on with life and not sink in it - I know I am going to be very busy shortly coping with job and course and Christmas and life, so will be asking fo rsimilar prayers myself!

Could you pray for the friends and family of two people who were murdered here last week? The woman had a 3 year old son who is now being cared for by his grandparents, so the death if the woman is getting more media coverage but the friends and family of the man need prayer too.

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 11:51

Glad work went so well Panda! God is good! Yes, very, very about those people who were murdered, will pray .....

Oooooh, P awake, have to buzzzzzzzz.......

Notquitegrownup · 15/11/2007 12:56

Hi Panda

Yes, I saw Roisin's thread. I have been quite spoiled actually, as ds1 has had a lovely faith so far, and we have enjoyed praying together and reading the Bible at bedtime. At least Christmas will get us along to church together. Maybe I'm expecting too little for him, but just want him to keep a link to church, so that it is there when he is able to be more fully involved.

Hmmm. I'll just keep on praying about it at the moment.

CaptainCaveman · 15/11/2007 14:13

CD!!! REally, you too Next week will hopefully be THE week for me

Prayers too for my lovely friend who is pg (whom you all prayed for!) to find her way on to this thread. I've directed her to mumsnet......if you find us HELLO!!

ZipadiSuzy · 15/11/2007 14:26

CD - already, 4 children in mind!!!!!!!!!!! wow you MUST be superwoman! mind you there were 5 us, don't know how my mum managed, 3 is hard work enough!!

CC - Big bean prayers for you

Panda - prayers for your busy criteria to go smoothly

Mary - Give yourself a shiney!!!!! I could do with your 'study' brain, I did a mock paper yesterday, took 3 attempts before I passed!!!! I just need to get my hands on the other 4 papers

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 14:58

We will pray for him, NQGU! xx

Hpe it is THE week, CC - Big Bean prayers from DippyLand too! Hope your friend manages to find us soon, would be lovely to "meet" her after praying for her!

Hi SoooooooooooooZ! >

OP posts:
bobsmum · 15/11/2007 15:12

Hi everyone - dd is much better - no more sickness after yesterday's bout.

Have appointment to see ds' teachers and Ed Psy ch at the beginning of December.

Ideally I would either like his issues to be pursued properly and a diagnosis if appropriate or dropped altogether. I'm fed up with him being on the staged intervention scheme without any evidence of concrete help, support or understanding. Hi social skills have improved enormously since starting school - I think the structure was what he was waiting for all along, but academically it's all go slow and I suspect he would benefit from moving a lot faster. He read his reading book backwards last night because he was bored with having the same one for 3 nights in a row

Baby moving in the evenings now . Trying to think seriously about where we're going to fit the three of them. Dh feels very strongly about leaving our 4th bedroom free for the house's ministry. If it's a boy, I don't think it's fair to make ds, who'll be 5.5, share with a sibling with such a big age gap. But I'm sure there must be a way of sliding things around.

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 15:17

Hi BM - Glad DD is better today Continuing to pray that stuff with DS will get sorted so you know where you stand - Glad that social stuff has improved so much - he clearly needed the structure that school could offer, eh!? EXCITING about feeling baby moving - ooooh, I do miss those feelings. Would DD mind sharing with a little brother for a couple of years or so!!? Guess baby will be in with you for at least a few months so you've got time to test the water etc .....

OP posts:
bobsmum · 15/11/2007 15:22

Yeah - that's the other option. Dd would be delighted, but would have to lose a bit of her girly bedroom - but then a boy under 2 could be persuaded to like fairies and princesses for a little while - couldn't he?

It's all fine when they're young, possibly up to the end of primary, but when it comes to secondary school, whatever sex they are, I don't imagine they'll be too impressed at sharing. I don't know any siblings who were! There's always the shed....

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 15:38

OF COURSE he can!! Everyone can be pink and like faries imho - Just ask my DH!

I would just "cross that bridge" when you come to it tbh - just find a solution that works for everyone now and then worry about the future when it becomes an issue - that's what we're doing!

Ah yes - the shed - but can you now walk across your garden without being sucked in by the Bog Monster!?

OP posts:
bobsmum · 15/11/2007 15:42

Bog Monster has been replaced by the mutant moles! We have molehills everywhere so if you walk on the grass you sink several feet down. What a charming place we live in

Will pray for your dh and his penchant for fairies and princesses

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 15:43

Oh no - he doesn't need prayer. He looks very pretty.

OP posts:
bobsmum · 15/11/2007 15:46

Happy Christmas Mr Dippy

MarsLady · 15/11/2007 15:50

Hi all.

Could you all pray for my family please? My father is very ill and I need to go to Jamaica. Could you pray that all goes as it should and if he passes that he goes peacefully? Also could you pray for my finances? Having just come back from a dancing holiday the coffers are empty and my travelling and not working doesn't help that. And on a more trivial note... it's a long flight with my sisters. Please pray that I get the space I need. Thanks.

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 16:19

{{{{{Mars}}}}} Praying for you and for your family, especially your dad - praying that it is a peaceful and calm end when it comes. Praying for you as you make arrangements to fly out to him. Is there anything we can do to help sweetie? You have ben so very kind to me, it would be my pleasure to help you in some small way!!? xxxx

OP posts:
MarsLady · 15/11/2007 16:27

Prayer is what I need right now angel face but thank you.

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 16:29

MaryBS · 15/11/2007 18:04

Praying, Marsy...

pepperpots · 15/11/2007 20:19

Please pray that i can make it through this i can't seem to find the light at the end of this neverending blackness [sob]

MaryBS · 15/11/2007 20:29

Pepperpots, our prayers are with you every day. If there is anything we can do, practically or spiritually, ANYTHING let us know. I cannot even attempt to give you a reason for what has happened, and there are no sure-fire remedies to make you feel better straight away. I can only come up with dumb cliches, which aren't really going to help. Just know that we care and would see this pain taken away from you. Have you been able to cry yet? Do you have someone you can talk to?

{hugs and love}

CaptainCaveman · 15/11/2007 20:31

Praying hard for you Pepperpots, I can't pretend to know what you're going through or how you are feeling. May God surround you with His love and understanding.

Praying for you too Marsy - esp for your Dad and for space from your rellies.

Now then CD - are you ttc or did someone mix us up? And does dh like the barbie throne that Bobsmum suggested?

Not going to join a ttc thread as I'm going to relax and see what happens rather then analyse everything, but can you tell me what BD ing means? In nursing terms that means twice a day....

pepperpots · 15/11/2007 20:36

Mary - I want to cry so much but i can't as i said in previous threads if i do, then it would be like admitting this has all happened to me and i'm not sure if i am emotionally strong enough to deal with that yet
