That's really great new healinglight. I'm so glad to hear that

PiNOtsleep · 05/11/2020 20:55

I've always been interested. Can't say I have ever felt any 'inner stirrings' but I'm open to exploring more. Thanks for sharing the links...Halloween Smile

BlankTimes · 05/11/2020 23:02

Brilliant news Healing Light rest awhile and enjoy it.
I've not read any Gibran since I was about 14, the cover of the Prophet was deeply dark and mysterious which drew me like a magnet at that time.

We had a lovely hour or so outside tonight on the terrace, the sky was so dark and clear, literally full of stars, could see the Milky Way, the main constellations, the planets, a few aircraft and a shooting star or maybe it was one of the Taurids. We made our own tiny stars with sparklers, magic.

VioletCharlotte · 06/11/2020 07:29

Blanktimes that sounds incredible. I love to look at the stars. Where I live is fairly urban so there's a lot of light pollution unfortunately, I only really get to enjoy them on a really clear night.

Healinglight your meditation sounds wonderful. I'm doing a 40 day online meditation with my yoga group. As you say, it's great that we have the internet and stay connected with one another.

Another cold morning, looking out of the the window, the earth is shrouded in a thick mist, feels very wintry all of a sudden.

speakout · 06/11/2020 07:40

Good morning- a very wintry feel to the day here too, a touch of frost and low mist hanging in the trees. I have just lit a few candles for a peaceful start.
Blanktimes your evening sounds magical.
VioletCharlotte I have never heard of an online meditation group- what a great idea, the internet makes so much possible doesn't it.

There will be candles lit here shortly too

Glad that LO is doing better and home HealingLight
Blanktimes that evening sounds delightful. I am blessed with the fact i have good star watching places i can go to sit normally. It is so calming.

The energy is much calmer since the passing of the 31st. I appreciate that greatly. Although the tarot predicted crash and burn totally happened. I am trying to roll with it, but it is frustrating when you want to just get stuffs done in a different manner.

Ds has followed me down the witchy route. He is struggling with it a bit. So this weekend is going to be one of teaching shielding techniques to him. Too much energies rattling around school atm with GCSE Mocks up coming. Some of the other things he is coping much better with. Hopefully the shielding might help reduce the stress migraines a little because he can't take the migraine meds for medical reasons and we have worked our way through all the other tricks. We have always been good at keeping stress levels down with exams so mostly it is modifying his perceptions of the expectations of the school vs what he needs to progress. What he is needs is not as high as the school wants. Welfare before exams is not a popular approach but as long as he gets enough to do what he wants who cares who got A* or Cs. Aint gonna matter in 20 yrs

BrightYellowDaffodil · 06/11/2020 10:10

Lovely quiet misty and cold morning - I do like a reason to bundle up. The sun is breaking though now for a clear day, which means stars this evening. After the horses are done and the lights are off I like to stand in the barn doorway looking at the stars, to the backdrop of hay-munching sounds.

HealingLight · 06/11/2020 13:32

Thank you, all, for your ongoing good wishes.
LO had first cuddle with her 80yr old Grandmother. Special moment.

@HillsBesideTheSea, I do feel for your DS: teens are coping with an awful lot at the moment. May he find relief from his head pains speedily.

During these especially testing times for many, I'd like to share this nature poem with you warm-hearted souls here.
One I return to again and again, whenever in need of extra comfort and perspective...hope it gives the same to anybody who could do with a bit of reassurance x

The Peace Of Wild Things

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

@BrightYellowDaffodil,
What a lovely image you paint. Horses are magical beings, aren't they?

BrightYellowDaffodil · 06/11/2020 14:03

@HealingLight They really are. There is a peace and presence to them - my father used to say that no matter how stressed he'd been at work, five minutes on the yard and he felt better. They're entirely without side, they take you as you are but they don't half deal with egos effectively!

I feel very fortunate to have grown up around horses, it teaches you responsibility and the importance of earning a good relationship early on.

GregoryHouse · 06/11/2020 20:16

Just checking in having lit my candle at 8pm to share positive healing energy with everyone and anyone who needs it.
I also set some intentions/said some positive affirmations as I did the fist tube I was able to join you and I feel like some things have started to come to fruition already so thank you everyone for all the positive energy being shared.
I hope everyone is ok in these uncertain times

GregoryHouse · 06/11/2020 20:17

@HealingLight I was so glad to read your update, what wonderful news 💕 and how precious that first cuddle sounds. That poem is gorgeous and how so very true! Bring amidst nature is exactly how I go about grounding myself and reminding myself of the inherent good in life.

@BrightYellowDaffodil I love your description of looking up at the stars. I agree horses are very special ❤️ I grew up riding but it’s something I stopped quite young. Now I simply admire them from afar.

@HillsBesideTheSea what a lucky boy to have such a caring mum as you. I love your approach to exams too.

@BlankTimes that evening on the terrace night sky watching sounds absolutely breathtaking! Do you live rurally? I live in a town, but just down the coast from a dark sky discovery site. We’ve been meaning to go forever, but might have a bit of a wait now we have a baby!

Can I just say, I LOVE this thread. I can’t comment every day, but I do read most days and it just had the most lovely, grounding energy. I’ve been influenced again though! 😂 first the mini pumpkins from aldi, now the lime basil and mandarin candle! I lit it yesterday while I worked and it added such a element of ritual to an otherwise routine moment.

I’m currently at my parents house (we’re in a childcare bubble thankfully) sipping a black coffee alone watching the day come alive, the distant sound of my parents delighting in their granddaughter. I find there are often magic moments if you stay aware.

Have a beautiful weekend everyone x

speakout · 07/11/2020 07:02

purplefig good morning! I am glad this thread is a refuge and a place of grounding for you. I feel theat too. So many amazing woman here.

I have woken feeling calm and at ease this morning after a week of feeling off balance. A have a busy weekend ahead, but I am starting it feeling steady and at ease.
I have woken early to have a long shower, massage my feet with coconut oil and put on a little make up to start my day.
I have been sigil making this week, and have one that I have been keeping in my bra with my rose quartz ( getting a bit crowded in there!!) Making a mental list of all that needs to be done today.
But I will tackle these jobs in a mindful way.
Even when we are busy we can make sure that we treat ourselves with compassion, work with a relaxed body and make sure our environment is as nurturing as possible..
Sending magic to everyone.

I agree with PP, the energy here is amazing.
I am up making bread and watching the sun rise slowly over the garden.
Does anyone do any (menstrual) cycle syncing? I've been reading in to treating the cycle like a mini changing of seasons and it sounds fascinating.

speakout · 07/11/2020 07:57

rivierliedje I have heard of it, but never tried. I love how the menstruel cycle often ties in wih moon phases.
I am a crone now, so past the age of menstruation, exploring new lands here!

I wrote a really long post this morning, but my iPad dies before I could post it, v annoying!

I'm loving the relaxed energy on here this morning. I'm enjoying the feeling of not having any plans and the slow down the new restrictions have enforced upon us. I started the day with meditation, I'm doing a 40 day Kryia with my kundalini yoga teacher, we do it together every morning at 7. It's a wonderful way to start the day and a powerful way to shift 'stuck' energy and emotion. If anyone would like the link to try Facebook group, your welcome to PM me ❤️

I'm having my own 'home retreat' this weekend to restore balance after a busy week. I've been researching Ayurvedic practises and looking at how I can incorporate these into my lifestyle and diet. I've had some digestive issues, so hoping that aligning what I eat with my body/spirt type will help with this. Ayurveda is fascinating and makes so much sense. I've fallen down many a rabbit hole reading up on it!

Rivierliege menstrual cycle synching is interesting. I have a friend who is a member of a red tent circle , who knows a lot more about this than me, but it seems to make total sense to me that that our natural cycle should align with nature, the seasons and the cycles of the moon. As I've become more aware of this, it helps me understand why I'm feeling the way I am at certain times of the month, and I know to give myself permission to listen to my body and rest during my 'winter'. As a society we've moved so far away from following these natural rhythms, we're all expected to be in the go, all the time. It's no wonder there are so many people suffering with mental health issues and disease.

When I opened my curtains this morning, I was delighted to see fairy circle of fungus has appeared underneath 'my' magical cherry tree at the front of my house. This tree is really special to me, I've always felt comforted by its presence and love to lay on my bed and watch the colours change with the seasons. The fairy circle, feels like 'proof' that's it's a magic tree!

Hello wonderful friends,

Again just a flying visit from me as I am working hard at the moment. It is so uplifting to hear all your news and to benefit from your wisdom.

The mutual support here and sharing of magical healing is very special.

All is well with the Gin household - work is intense but fulfilling. I am fortunate enough to be working with clients who are supporting families hit hard by the pandemic so I hope, in my own small way, to help this effort.

My mantra at the moment is to honour good fortune - I am grateful for the work I have so I am trying not to complain too much about the hours! I am grateful for my wonderful DD so I am trying to respond with grace when she wants to join in my work zoom calls Grin ! I am grateful for my familiars so, rather than shutting them out of my study when they start calling for my attention while I'm working, I've put floor cushions down for them all to sleep on next to my desk. They obviously don't stay there and often walk around on my keyboard but it's a start. And as for the synchronised snoring ... Grin

Thank you all for the magical energy that is keeping my spirits up. I am checking in each evening at 8 with my candle and I wish you all a peaceful and restorative weekend xx

speakout · 07/11/2020 14:55

VioletCharlotte
I am loving your fairy rings your photographs are magical!!

GinIsMySaviour glad to hear honouring your good fortue is serving you well.
It is often the smallest things in life that mean the most.
I also have a familiar that likes to walk over my laptop keyboard.
It is sometimes very challenging to work out how to restore settings!

I don't know if some of you may remember last year on Remembrance day I visited the ruined house of an old midwife near my house who was burned at the stake aged 84 after a lifetime of serving the community and helping heal and deliver babies. Her name was Beatrix Leslie, and was one on many many women murderd in my town duriing the burning times.
I have done a lot more research in the past year and discovered far greater horrors than I could have imagined.
I also know of the burning place, I will visit tomorrow morning to reach out and comfort these women.
I have also found a grand monument to one of the main perpetrators, a clergy leader, inside the church, just opposite the burning place.
I intend to pay him a visit when the church opens again, although my energy for him will not be of comfort.
Dusk is almost approaching here, the watery sun just penetrating the mist.
Quite beautiful in atmosphere,
