Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

Evening all, it’s very cold here today so I’ve been suffering a bit as I feel the cold so much and have Raynauds. Work was hectic this week and I feel like I’ve had little time to do anything else. My body still feels toxic waking up every morning with thumping headache and the usual pains.

Was going to take the dog out this afternoon for a walk along the river but idiots were letting off fireworks and she’s terrified (she’s been like it all week) going to get out out tomorrow morning now she’s all healed leg wise).

Do you remember me wanting something silver? This is what I chose, the DDs said it’s very witchy but I love it. I’ve chosen a red candle for tonight. Blessings to you all

That dish is lovely SweetKitty it has a pull of gentle energy.

Thank you Speakout it is interesting to hear your journal to ... not sure of the right word here soothe/heal/temper ... the wrongs of the past. iyswim?

I purchased a lunar diary for next year. It has been bringing me joy every time i flip through. I like the way that it starts with the winter solstice. And it's colour palette is one i find soothing. I have come to learn that i am very picky with the colours i like to interact with in terms of pictures and items around my space. I have a lovely content wise calendar for this year I was given that I have just not been able to use as the colour palette was so jarring to me.
have been pondering of late if this is just a quirk or if there is some more magical reasoning behind it. I suspect quirk is where it lies but the thought amuses me so I am willing to entertain it.

Wishing you all gentle magical Sundays.

journey not journal.

I love that candle holder.

HillsBesideTheSea I will be going out soon to the place of execution to connect to my sisters, so they are not forgotten.

Colour magic is a very powerful tool. Although in spellwork I use bright bold colours to set intentions when I choose colours for my surroundings and clothes I like very subtle muted shades.

My DD has just finished an overnight stint in a children's surgical ward.
Fireworks cause so much pain. My heart is with the parents and children..

I have just been to visit the burning place in my local town, placed some flowers, a sigil and a small quartz stone foraged from the oldest goddess temple in a small crevice on the spot. I sent words comfort and understanding. I hope my sisters felt some small degree of solidarity as my message reached through time.
This is also a picture of the old part of the church across the road where the monstrous actions eminated.
The church was open- about to start a service- I had wanted to go inside to lay another type of offering at the monument for the perpetrator, but the minister was inside, alone, and I really didn't want to start a conversation!

speakout thank you for doing this for our sisters, such a powerful act and show of solidarity. I have no doubt you will have provided comfort and that your message reached them through time

speakout · 08/11/2020 11:44

Aerwyna thankyou for understanding my need to do this.
If I have brought even the tiniest moment of comfort to these women in their final moments to help then I have tried.

As I stood in the street there was a joiner working nearby with an open van with three large ( his dogs I presumed) standing nearby. I am not sure of the breed- Alaskan Mamutes or similar- to me they looked like wolves. I could feel their eyes watching me , and as I kneeled to place the flowers and whisper words of intent all three dogs started howling- wild, powerful, unstoppable howls.
The workman rushed over and tried to calm them, but for a minute or two they were in a full powerful chorus of roaring.
I like to think those dogs knew what I was doing.

I got shivers reading that speakout powerful wolf medicine right there. Beautiful

Hi all ,
I’m just popping in to ask if anyone knows a good place online to buy crystals. I would normally buy them in an actual shop but it’s not possible now and dh has said he wants to treat me to something online this afternoon. Any suggestions ?

speakout · 08/11/2020 12:57

Elasticatedwaist I use this company-
www.manchesterminerals.co.uk/

A husband and wife team, always good quality, quick delivery, huge range.

Lovely dish SweetKitty, glad you liked my suggestion on 30 Oct Halloween Grin

Wow, Speakout thank-you so much for doing that, the wolves' howls must have been ethereal, I think they knew, too.

Elasticatedwaist sorry, I can't find the seller I was going to rec on ebay, he has the rights to a bluestone outcrop next to Carn Meini.

Do you know what you're looking for?
Generally buying online, the piece you receive will be a lot smaller than it appears to be in its close-up photo, so check measurements carefully so you're not disappointed. All the photos showing people holding the items are for the most part a bit magnified.

"Crystal" balls generally aren't. They are glass, suggested aka lead crystal, but they are not flawless quartz.

Bipbopbee · 08/11/2020 14:21

I started reading the first thread after coming across this one, I’m astounded as I have been doing certain things without realising that it came under some form of witchcraft.

When I was a child I used to leave “gifts” in tree roots for fairy folk. No one told me to do this, I don’t know why I did it. Sometimes I would write them notes too.

I collect conkers, leaves, pebbles, and have left them on window sills,

I also have a collection of stones and crystals because I like the feel of them.

I need to be in a forest to feel restored. My absolute favourite thing in the world is to be in a huge forest as it makes me feel so calm and clear of mind.

I also hug and stroke trees and tell plants how beautiful they are.

I apologise to insects when I move things and they are sent scurrying.

I love lighting candles and we have a wood burner which is so calming and comforting to light and have crackling!

I am sensitive to atmospheres and energy, especially houses or buildings that have a heavy energy ( not necessarily a bad one )

I have never done anything to do with herbs though.

Really fascinated to look into all this a bit more now though. Thank you so much!

speakout · 08/11/2020 15:20

Bipbopbee a very warm welcome on this beautiful autumn afternoon.
I love reading about your "witchy" activities, it happens so instinctively doesn't it.
I am nodding about your ways with insects, and I am a secret tree hugger too.
I am sure you have done a lot more with herbs than you think though.
Peppermint foot balm for aching feet? Herbal bath salts? Essential oils in your home? Mulled wine? Cooking with herbs? Menthol or eucalyptus inhalation for a cold? Herbal supplements?

Plenty tea in the pot, and the fire is crackling. A warm spot for you here .
It is so overcast that I have just lit some candles, the mist is already descending over the trees.

Thank you so much!

Yes to everything you mentioned re herbal. I guess I never thought of them in that way!

I make mulled wine and cider every year, sloe gin, homemade jam from foraged fruit, homemade chutney. I guess they count!

I have hung bunches of lavender, mint, rosemary in the kitchen before too.

Also remember gathering berries, leaves, grass and mixing them with water and collecting rose petals to steep as a child too.

I think I might identify the closest with a Green Witch.

Thank you for your lovely words. I hope you have a very cosy and calm evening Smile

VioletCharlotte · 08/11/2020 15:54

Speakout thank you for honouring our sisters who endured so much suffering in the past. Your post made me feel rather emotional, and when I read about the wolves/dogs, I had chills down my spine. They must have felt a deep affinity with you.

speakout · 08/11/2020 15:57

Bipbopbee I am glad you have found the comfy cushion.

Using herbs and spices in the kitchen is pure alchemy too! Cooking is another dimesion to witchcraft-. stirring joy, and zest and energy and love is an act of spellwork.Using herbs and spices to use that simple act of nutrution into nurture and something magical.

Have you noticed that

SweetKitty that candle holder is lovely, great choice!

BipBopBee I smiled when I read your post as I was you when this thread started way back when (2018? I must go back and look). I knew I was spiritual, as I've been practising tarot and mediumship for a long time, but never really felt a connection with the Spiritualist Church. When I joined this thread and realised all the little rituals I've always done instinctively, almost without thinking, are all associated with witchcraft, everything fell into place. I felt like I'd come home.

Hills your lunar diary sounds fab. Would you mind posting a link if you have one? I've been looking for one too. I've seen a few but I've not seen one that's really jumped out at me yet.

VioletCharlotte · 08/11/2020 16:01

Aerwyna I've just seen you posted that the wolves gave you chills too Smile

Bipbopbee · 08/11/2020 16:03

Yes! I use lots of herbs and spices in foods and the majority of my cooking is made from scratch.

I will do some more research about being a Green Witch, thank you so much.

speakout · 08/11/2020 16:04

VioletCharlotte Thankyou dear friend.
I feel so strongly about these dear sisters who were so badly treated, and part from a few local efforts there has been no acknowledgement or apology - from the church or government.
So much is made of Remembrance Sunday- and I appreciate the loss there too, but prefer to mark this day to remember these women who have no day to mark their passing.

I was amazed reading that first thread! I think I thought I was spiritual as an explanation to the energies ( I’ve also had strange experiences and don’t know where they fit either )
but this makes sense!

speakout · 08/11/2020 16:20

Bipbopbee
I have just read some of the posts from the first thread. Our dear friend Elphame was one of the first to respond, and a few interested. The energy seemed tentative and unsure, quiet but profound.
How the community has grown, and become so confident and proud!
So many amazing women here!!

@speakout what a lovely thing you did today, I’m with you the dogs knew what you were doing. I feel like apologising to all animals this week every night has had fireworks and the poor wild animals must be terrified. At the stables the poor horses had had a tough week too.

I was so desperate to get out into nature today but it’s been pouring all day and I have a dog who hates and will refuse to walk in the rain. We did go out about 4 as it starting to get dark and had a walk in the rain by the river for half an hour.

Going to try and do some yoga tonight after dinner, does anyone else well up and cry going yoga?

speakout · 08/11/2020 17:25

sweetkitty

Thank you- I appreciate your support.
I hope you enjoy your yoga, usually a morning thing for me, there are some wonderful evening bedtime routines on youtube. Good luck and enjoy it!
