Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

@VioletCharlotte
Thank you so much. Sad and very anxious time, but positive energy from others can be very powerful, I do believe.

I look forward to learning from wise voices here, and am slowly immersing myself in the previous threads.

I've read snippets over time, and subjects discussed have always resonated.

I have felt increasingly drawn to this path for a long while now. Somehow it's always felt 'familiar' to me, if that makes sense?

When the occasional person has come into my life with similar beliefs and outlooks to yours written about on this thread, we've always immediately connected on a very profound level.
Hard to articulate, so bear with me, but a kind of 'thought shorthand' between us.
Instant acceptance and sense of understanding.
My self-compassion meditation group a good example.

Confusing when slotting back into my usual RL day-to-day life's friends/family group: although lovely people, openly mentioning the above sentiments to 90% of them would be met with outright bafflement, to say the least!

Although brand new here, I strangely feel I've come home.

HealingLight also sending healing energy to this precious baby.

You are very welcome here, good to know if feels like being home for you.
I think many of us feel that way too, just women showing up, shining their light, no competition, no judgement, no tick boxes or rules, simple realisation that we have all contain bright power, and can use that to empower and lift each other.

Having a Greek themed dinner tonight- a stew in the slow cooker with lots of oregano. I have stuffed vine leaves, big butter beans, Kalamata olives and feta salad.
I adore Greece, one of my favourite places to visit, and hopefully will again in the future!

My mouth is watering! I love Greece too! That is my favourite food!
HealingLight · 01/11/2020 21:07

Grateful thanks, all.
Your thoughts are very comforting.
Latest update of little one is encouraging.

@speakout, totally agree about Greece. Especially the islands.
Love all that history.
You have inspired me to brighten up this wet and windy evening with some gentle background bouzouki music!

Am recalling harbourside views, gazing out across that uniquely azure sea, glass of something delicious in hand.

HillsBesideTheSea · 01/11/2020 22:36

Healinglight - i love a good visualisation walk through one of my favourite places. Your starting point sounds lovely. I hope you were able to enjoy it!

PriddyPuddyCat positive affirmations don't work for me for the reasons that violetCharlotte suggests. Her suggestion sounds like a good one to try to work around it.
I don't use affirmations anymore, but i try to reduce it from personal attack to constructive criticism. I still don't have a great opinion of myself honestly i have a love-hate relationship with myself but constructive is just that little bit kinder. And turning a "i'm crap at my job" around to "I struggle with this job situation" makes it a smaller jump to "the job makes me unhappy and I deserve to find myself one that does." It is a hard thing to consistently get better at and I hope you are able to succeed with the wise advice of the wise ones here. They know stuffs about stuffs. They know things Wink But it most definitely worth sticking at and keep working on. Be kind to yourself even when you find it hard to be kind to yourself, that journey will not likely be a linear one, but it will be worth it in the end.

Aerwyna · 02/11/2020 10:35

I hope the week is getting off to as gentle a start as possible for everyone. I know many of us face various challenges, and as BlankTimes so astutely pointed out many of these challenges seem to be of a life changing (or at least direction changing) nature.
I’ve made time to visit wild water these last few days which always helps me with equilibrium.
The sky has cleared here for now, the wind still fierce and there’s something cleansing about opening the windows and inviting it in.
As mercury stations direct tomorrow, I hold hope that we will see respite from troubles; clarity to soothe our souls. In the meantime there is insight to be found as we yield to the darker months, rest into them.
Wishing everyone a magical week ahead

VioletCharlotte · 02/11/2020 21:46

Aerwyna thank you for the reminder about Mercury going direct. I'm feeling somewhat battered by astrological influences and this feels like a welcome relief! I've certainly felt the effects of this full moon, with some crazy dreams the last few nights, situations and people from the past coming to the surface. I really need to spend some time working out what it all means.

The current situation should provide the time we need to go within and look for the answers to our questions. Work is incredibly busy, but I've set an intention to make the most of my weekends and evenings and use this time we've been gifted wisely.

Love to you all for a peaceful night's sleep ❤️

sweetkitty · 02/11/2020 22:42

@Aerwyna what lovely words I too feel the need to be near water a lot

Lit my candle tonight for anyone who needs a bit of a gentle cuddle

Aerwyna · 02/11/2020 23:22

The blue Samhain moon has certainly been powerful hasn’t it Violet, sparking some intense dream work. I agree it seems to be getting to the roots of things. There’s clarity on the horizon I think, not long now. Hold tight and trust the process..Wishing you a peaceful night tonight.

Water medicine can be so healing can’t it kitty, I’ve prescribed myself as many visits to wild water as I can fit in this last week. It’s definitely my ‘go to’ element. Interesting how that happens. Earth, for example, I’ve had to work at building a connection with. I think I’m naturally more mutable but nurturing a relationship with something more ‘solid’ has been very rewarding.
Thank you for the beautiful loving energy you have shared with us tonight, very gratefully received.

The river/woods were magical today, glorious autumn colours and the river was flowing fast. The whole place was alive with fae energy. I ‘didn’t have the time or energy’ to go so knew from experience that I needed to!

those pictures are stunning and vibrate with energy aerwyna

HillsBesideTheSea · 03/11/2020 00:59

Thank you for sharing them

(sorry having a few tech issues)

BlankTimes · 03/11/2020 01:38

Fantastic images Aerwyna, I never see anything where other people do, but a Dryad's face is very clear to me in the centre of the trunk on the 3rd image.

Aerwyna · 03/11/2020 15:03

Thank you friends, it really is magic there and it’s such a pleasure to be able to share that energy with others who feel it too.
A beautiful time of year to get out in the woods.
Yes to the Dryad BlankTimes! she’s the gatekeeper of the place, I always stop and pay respect to her as I enter

GregoryHouse · 03/11/2020 19:31

Lovely photos Aerwyna and it was a few days ago now but your post about the ladybird was very timely as well. I noticed a ladybird on my boots in my kitchen as I was about to put them on to go out the other day so I moved her before I put them on. The following morning I went to put my jeans on in my bedroom and there was a ladybird on them! I like the idea of ladybirds bringing good luck. I could definitely do with some at the moment as I'm sure we all could!

I've got my candle and some crystals ready to join you all tonight at 8 for the first timeHalloween Smile

Aerwyna · 03/11/2020 20:00

Love the synchronicity GregoryHouse! And it’s wonderful that you’re with us for our 8pm connection 🙏

Priddypuddycat · 03/11/2020 22:15

Thank you everyone for your advice - very helpful, I am also trying to focus on when someone thanks me or says well done , help to tune out some of the inner critic!
I am regularly lighting my 8pm candle and have started looking at how I can incorporate more of the elements into my home

speakout · 04/11/2020 07:11

Good morning sisters.
A crisp frosty morning here, been feeling a little stuck of late, mustering all the self compassion I can find.
I can hear the sound of a neighbour scraping ice off a windscreen, venus looked so sharp in the sky just before sunrise, cold skies seem to make everything look clearer somehow.
Off for a warming shower and some sun salutations.
Have a magical day everyone.

mustering all the self compassion I can find.

Such a wise approach speakout, I hope your day brings moments of peace amongst it all.

It’s a beautifully still clear day here at the moment, a contrast to the recent wild weather we’ve been having. I’m taking a moment to breathe it in.

I hope today brings magic to all

VioletCharlotte · 04/11/2020 11:59

Fabulous pictures Aerwyna I can feel that amazing energy! I found myself smiling in agreement when you said you knew you needed to go. The things we don't really want to do are often what we need the most!

It's a crisp, bright day here as well. I went for one last swim before lockdown first thing and had to scrape the ice off my car. I've got the washing out on the line. I may need to finding off drying it indoors, but it'll still smell nice and fresh. I think this dry, colder weather is meant to continue over the days ahead, so I'm looking forward to some walks. The trees are magical right now, with all the leaves changing colour.

HealingLight · 04/11/2020 19:11

A positive update:
grateful thanks to all in this community for sending your healing thoughts and energy towards my baby niece.

She is finally home from NICU, and cocooned by love within her family.
A long road ahead to travel, but signs are hopeful and for now we breathe more easily.

Your water theme brought to mind this poem.
It seems apt, then, as a small offering from me to you x

Fear

It is said that before entering the sea
a river trembles with fear.

She looks back at the path she has traveled,
from the peaks of the mountains,
the long winding road crossing forests and villages.

And in front of her,
she sees an ocean so vast,
that to enter
there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.

But there is no other way.
The river can not go back.

Nobody can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence.

The river needs to take the risk
of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear,
because that’s where the river will know
it’s not about disappearing into the ocean,
but of becoming the ocean.

That is such wonderful news HealingLight, to breathe easier must feel like the most incredible gift right now. So very pleased to hear it.

And that poem is beautiful, I was really moved by it. Thank you 🙏

Elasticatedwaist · 05/11/2020 08:00

I love that poem thanks for sharing @HealingLight

VioletCharlotte · 05/11/2020 08:12

HealingLight that's such great news, I'm so pleased and relieved ❤️

Thank you for sharing the poem 🙏

Thank you, my new-but-already-dear friends.

I have just finished a wonderful practice with my meditation group.

Always a little odd to be gathering live via Zoom!
But it does make possible a really international 'healing space' in these turbulent times. Many nationalities, different time zones, and 60+ of us like-minded and unified in spirit.
Powerful!
