Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

KateF Thank you. How lovely that you were able to spend time with your daughter. These times are so precious and can sustain us for weeks afterwards.

I have been putting up wires for my climbing roses, they have taken over a tall fence at the back of my garden, and I can see them from the kitchen sink, hundreds of blooms, but heavy and need a little help.
YashmisCrone I am glad the Hecate energy chimes with you today.
My mood is very mindful and slow today, I am feeling calm.

Thought I would send a nurturing piece of music, one that I listen to as I work, would be perfect for meditation, or anytime you need goddess energy.

VioletCharlotte · 21/05/2020 18:23

Speakout thank you for sharing that piece of music, I look forward to listening to it.

I need to find some calm this evening. Very busy day at work and some negative energy rattling around the house. DS1 is missing his social life and getting restless. He's talking of moving back to his student house with his friend next weekend. This worries me a little but also think it'll do him good.

Lots of noise going on around me from all sides. When it cools down a bit, I'm going to head off to the woods for some peace and quiet!

VioletCharlotte · 21/05/2020 21:55

Tree energy has restored my sense of balance. Looking forward to a good sleep.

Blessings to you all for a peaceful night.

I am glad you found some balancing energy last night VioletCharlotte I hope it led to some restorative sleep.

I hope today's new moon in Gemini brings some energy to everyone.

I am loving the feel of the Gemini new moon! A tangible shift. So much cooler here today and very windy- I’m really enjoying the wild energy. Reflecting on the elements I’m curious as to what makes me more comfortable with mutable unpredictable forces than stable consistently ones. A wormhole to fall down at some point!

Violet I loved your shift in energy last night too-so beautiful how you connect with the trees- it feels like an exhalation of relief; coming home 💚

speakout that music you shared is so nurturing, just the thing I needed yesterday and helped me shift spaces energetically thank you 🙏

I had a lovely connection with my (late) dad yesterday. I expressed something to him in my mind, asked for his support and was almost immediately answered with the sight of a physical thing I associate with him. I love it when that happens!

It’s so good to hear of everyone nurturing themselves through time outdoors and practicing growing magic. I know many of us seem to be wired up this way anyway, but I wonder if this time will create more of a shift towards it in the collective consciousness too.

Happy Friday everyone, I hope it’s a magical one

VioletCharlotte · 22/05/2020 12:39

I'm loving the shift too, I slept deeply last night and feel more peaceful that I have in a long time. I prefer the cooler, breezier weather. I love the sunshine, but hot, humid weather makes me tetchy!

Yashmis Lovely to hear of your connection with your Dad. It's so wonderful when that happens, very emotional but so reassuring, reminds you how loved you are and makes you feel less alone.

speakout · 22/05/2020 13:50

Wild and windy here today too- the winds of change.

YashmisCrone what a lovely moment you had connecting with your father- thank yu for sharing such a special time.

violet glad you slept well, my sleep was deep but short.

rivierliedje · 22/05/2020 19:00

The wind was wild here during the night and it still is today. There was an absolutely beautiful rainbow over the sea during my walk. I'll try to post it.
Walking among trees is really restorative, isn't it!

rivierliedje · 22/05/2020 19:02

Rainbow

rivierliedje · 22/05/2020 19:03

That didnt work, I'll try again

BlankTimes · 23/05/2020 01:35

What lovely resonant descriptions and images of Nature, thank-you all.
We're rather 'windswept and interesting' here, to use a Billy Connolly quote, and likely to be so for at least one more day. May the winds of change bring magical transformation.

speakout · 23/05/2020 07:39

Beautiful rainbow rivierliedje I wonder what our distant ancestors would have made of such a sight. We understand the science behind the rainbow now, but they are no less magical.

Such a wild windy night. but I slept long and heavy- 10 hours, I didn't hear a thing despite rain and wind battering against my window.
Just having my much needed coffee in bed before heading out to the supermarket, before the queues start.
I am feeling much rested from a few days off work, and made a note to do this more regularly.
Need to do my hair this afternoon- a root touch up!! I always do it myself anyway, so quite an expert now. I don't mind not having it cut, I have longish hair and can always trim an inch or so off the bottom myself, so not having a hairdresser open right now is no great loss.

I remember growing up older women woud be scorned for having long hair past a certain age- it was commonly thought to make them look like a "witch"- meant as an insult.
Always one to trash and burn rules I enjoy having my long locks.
The mother wound causes women to criticise and compete, to denigrate and insult each other, and I it causes such sadness.

Thankfully we have this wonderful community here of amazing wise women ready to lift each other and be lifted.

Elphame · 23/05/2020 12:20

In classical lore the rainbow was the sign of Iris who took messages between common people and the gods. They always bring a smile to my face.

It is so so windy here today - I hate it.

My hair is also fairly long but rather heavily coloured! I don't miss the hairdresser for cutting but my roots really need doing and I'm allergic to the PPD in most of the home dye sets so I'm using root touch up powder and wearing headbands! I can ( and have) refresh my low lights but the roots will need to wait until the salon reopens.

At least the dog groomers are open again - the dog is already booked in for his salon visit!

speakout · 23/05/2020 13:04

Elphame rainbow lore would be a lovely wormhole to burrow down deep! I will look up the story of Iris.

I am not a fan of wind either- it ruffles my feathers, and makes me feel unsetted. I know teachers say children are often very high spirited and hard to control on windy days.
I know my cats feel it too, hyper- vigilant, alert, pacing the house.

Still no let up of the storm here, branches and trees down on the roads. Spring and summer storms can be so damaging, and make me feel a bit nervous.

Today must be the day for hair colouring, I'm in the process of doing mine. I have longish hair too, and mine is coloured dark red so I tend to make a bit of a mess when I do it!

I was feeling a bit flat this morning and took a while to get going. However I managed to get some fuchsias and marigolds in Sainsbury's so looking forward to potting those and adding a bit of colour.

This afternoon DS and I walked in the forest with my dog, we came across this beautiful tree which we felt the need to climb! It was so good to feel carefree just for a few minutes and forget about everything.

Rivierliedge that photo is stunning. I love what you said Elphame about rainbows being a sign of messages between the common people and the Gods, I'll think of that now whenever I see one.

I'm desperate to get to the sea, but I don't think it'll happen for some time. I don't like crowded beaches at the best of times, so now isn't the time.

speakout · 24/05/2020 07:22

Good morning, didn't manage to get my hair dyed yesterday, DDwanted to go out, so had a lovely river walk instead.
Then baked camembert for tea with hot chilli jam.

I will get my roots done this morning after yoga, I love these self care mornings!

This week has seen a lot of deep shadow work, and I am feeling a little drained as a result, but found a few more treasures, and pieces of the puzzle. Always a work in progress.

I will light a candle at 8am to bless the day and send uplifing energy to all.

Morning all. I've enjoyed dipping in and out of the thread the last few weeks, and especially seeing the art posted. Just the tonic I need during lockdown. It sounds like some of these lovely pictures come from Facebook groups and the like - are there any you'd recommend?

The only witchy group I'm in at the moment is the Wild Food and Hedgewitchery Group which has been very helpful as me and my DP get more and more into identifying plants. We've found wood sorrel and lemon balm growing in the bottom of our garden along with lots more beautiful (but inedible!) plants.

YashmisCrone · 24/05/2020 11:55

Good morning friends,
It’s good to read everyone’s updates and I love the way we’re all so often working with the same energy- even down to the collective hair colouring! My hair is also long but uncoloured. I’ve been glad of my tendency to be unkempt during lockdown!

Thank you for your kind words about the connection with my Dad speakout and Violet. As I sat down to write this post a song that was special to us started playing on the radio- he’s definitely by my side.

Like speakout I’ve been working in the shadows this week and feel a little drained but like I’ve moved forward, gained insight. As you say, always a work in progress.

rivierliedje thank you so much for that beautiful sea/rainbow picture- really lifted my spirits. Fascinating what you say Elphame about Iris- another one here who would like to fall down a rainbow lore wormhole!

I haven’t seen the sea for a while either but feel like I’ve deepened my connection with the river. I stopped for a bit of a chat with her yesterday. She was running lower due to the unusual lack of rain but was still full of vital energy.

Violet I love it that you stopped to climb the tree- it’s so good to do something playful sometimes isn’t it.

Ogress it’s good to see you and thank you for the fb recommendation. I’ll have a look and see if i can come up with some to share

The sun is out here today, less of a wind but still enough to be a good day for laundry witching. I’m going to enjoy being outside today

I hope everyone has a magical Sunday 🌞

VioletCharlotte · 24/05/2020 12:32

It's good to hear everyone sounding so upbeat today. Like others, I've been dealing with shadows this week too. I feel like something's shifted today, more positive and hopeful about the future.

It's sunny but breezy here, washings blowing on the line.

Thanks you Speakout and Ogress for the Facebook links.

Ogress · 24/05/2020 20:14

Oooh, that's a good long list of links! Thank you so much @YashmisCrone and @VioletCharlotte. I'll have a nice dig through when I sit with my morning cuppa tomorrow.

speakout · 25/05/2020 07:53

Thank you for these links! I had a great time yessterday exploring many of them.
The internet is a great resource isn't it!
I had to cleanse the house yesterday after the weekly church sermon, very negative energy warning of dangers of the "new age", dangers and traps.
I managed to restore bright light energy afterwards however.

A sunny morning here, such a welcome change from the windy and overcast days we have been having.
The moon in cancer today brings energy and harmony to the home and domestic activities. So anyone planning a day of pottering will have fun!
I have a few bulk orders in today, so have to work on them, OH is still off work so can do the post office run for me which helps enormously. Have a batch of abundance candles to make this morning, so a quick yoga session then work.

Have a wonderful day.

Thanks again: my facebook feed is now a pore positive place! I was particularly pleased to find that GatherVictoria have a facebook page. I recall someone posting the link to their website on this thread a while ago and being very inspired by it, so it's great to have that in my feed.

My DP and I have been really enjoying plants/herbs/wild food recently. One of our projects is a herbal we're collaborating on. I've been doing the illustrations and it's been really illuminating to learn about the plants behind some of the products we use regularly - for example, discovering the lovely white flowers of the trees that produce benzoin, and learning that pods on cardamom don't grow where I expected them to.

I'm planning to devote part of today to doing a few more illustrations for it, and part of today doing another walk with our wild flower key to see what we can find.

Hope you all have a great day.

VioletCharlotte · 25/05/2020 12:17

Morning, it's a sunny day here too, I'm sitting in the shade in the garden as it's actually too hot on the sun. It's peaceful at the moment, I can just hear the birds and small children playing next door. I hope it remains that way, normally my neighbours seem to use bank holidays as an opportunity to get out their power tools!

Ogress interesting to read about your foraging and how lovely that's it's something your DP is interested in too and you can do together.

Speakout pleased you managed to shift that negative energy!

I'm hoping to plant my pots today if I can get some compost. Not sure if I can face queueing to buy it though! Later this afternoon I'm meeting a friend for a walk and will do some yoga this evening. I've been doing yin yoga before bed recently, it really helps with sleep.

YashmisCrone · 25/05/2020 13:25

I’m glad the links were of interest, there’s magic on filling your fb feed with positivity isn’t there.

Ogress it’s so interesting to hear of your projects, It would be wonderful to see your illustrations if you ever feel like sharing them.

speakout I think you do amazingly well to clear the negative energy of those sermons- some of the evangelicals are beside themselves with the supposed coming of ‘the end times’ right now aren’t they. I love the way you shift that stuff out of your home and I always get such a wonderful image of you standing firm, besom in hand, not having any of it!

Violet I’m awaiting the onslaught of the power tools here too! So far also surprisingly quiet although I’ve noticed the traffic noise picking up again. Lovely that you can meet your friend for a walk later, wishing you an uplifting time

I have a few errands to run and am looking forward to enjoying the late afternoon sunshine in the garden- not a cloud in the sky here right now.

Wishing everyone a magical day
