Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

Psted too soon! Leak is fixed- so I am happy about that. The broken pipe was not too hidden, just needing part of a wall removed, but thankfully above ground. A new section of pipework has been installed and everything is now watertight. The toilet has been removed and we still have to assess the damage to the flooring, but I am happy that I am not having to pick up sodden bath towels trying to contain the leak.
OH has been furloughed and now at home for the foreseeable future. No idea what the future holds there. Living with uncertainty is a challenge we all have to face.
In the meantime I am continuing with my magical work, my laundry magic, and my seedlings- which are rampant. I look forward to planting them outside, but nights here are still frosty.
Wishing everyone a safe and magical weekend.

Thank you speakout it is extremely worrying and also a lesson in not being in control! I think that’s one we’re all working with to one degree or another right now, along with living with uncertainty as you say.

I love what you say about pulling into the lay by, makes a lot of sense.
I gave myself the afternoon off have no ‘face to face’ work booked in and did some gardening whilst listening to an audio book, allowed myself to enjoy it and feel better for it.

So pleased to hear the leak is fixed and that you’re weaving little practices throughout the day. Sometimes it feels like life is on hold but this is life too, I’ve needed to remind myself of this recently.

Wishing everyone a relaxing evening

YashmisCrone · 24/04/2020 20:58

I liked this from Brene Brown, thought others might appreciate it too:

“ I believe all of these things are true. I believe grace and rest are key. Feeling and owning our own shit instead of working it out on others is key. When we slip up, apologizing to the people we offload on is key.

And, when we hit that wall, sometimes courage looks like scaling it or breaking through it. AND, sometimes courage is building a fort against the wall and taking a nap.

For those of us with kids, I don't think we pretend that the wall doesn't exist.

Rather than sucking it up and pushing through, we name it. We help them understand that invisible wall that they will run into hundreds and hundreds of times in their lives. We model what it takes to recognize it and how tough it can be to choose the right strategy: scaling, reaching out for a lift, and/or resting. Naming, modeling, and not having answers is how we help them feel less alone or scared when they face their own wall.

Hard days are real because this is hard.

Stay awkward, kind and brave enough to rest and feel,
BB”

Thanks Yashmis, I needed that. I have become very apathetic and have definitely hit a wall.

Hi all,

I'm not sure where to go ? I need to speak with a witch/coven with knowledge and wisdom.

I need a protection spell and to have the bind someone from doing harm or influencing me. You can DM or just tell me here.

As I mentioned I didn't know where to post.

Elphame · 25/04/2020 13:56

Glad the plumbing problem was not too bad to fix speakout and yes my visit went fine. Another huge cyst drained- they might even now agree to put me on the surgical list to sort out the issue once and for all but it isn't an operation that the NHS will normally pay for and obviously at present they are only doing urgent cancer ones.

I'm remarkably chilled about the whole CV thing which surprises me. I have been taking hawthorn tincture regularly and apparently it's also used for anxiety which I didn't realise. It clearly works on me as I'm usually the one with a PHD in worrying about things I can't change. Not this time though.

Hi SlayB and welcome. I don't think any of us here do work for strangers but you could try googling freezer spells and see if those would work for you.

speakout · 25/04/2020 15:13

Elphame glad your appointment went well, although does sound uncomfortable. It will be a relief that it is over for now though.

SlayB welcome to our group, always good to have new faces, although this isn't a space for spell exchange or for providing services.Elphame has made a great suggestion, there are lots of online spells you can find, and I am sure lots of Facebook groups that would help. Good luck in finding a solution.

Hello everyone. I'm a bit lost at the moment, well not lost exactly but need some help. I'm a lapsed Christian, that is to say that at times in my life, I have been to church on and off although mainly, because it would fill me with a sense of calm which is good for me as I'm very anxious. I'm a bit anxious about asking this: is it possible to be a witch and yet have some belief in God also? Sorry if I've offended anyone, no offence meant!!

Elphame · 25/04/2020 16:14

Hello PolloDePrimavera

Yes Christian Witches are a "thing" and people do seem to be able to blend the two. If you look below the surface of Catholicism in particular, there is a lot of things that are very familiar to witches. The Methodists used to be very into the occult when they sect first arose and there are many in the past who have blended the occult with Christianity - Dion Fortune being one.

You don't have to be a witch though - many people would just identify as spiritual.

If you want to explore this side of your spirituality I'd normally recommend going into the nearest bit of woodland, making yourself comfortable and just "being" for a while. That obviously may be a bit difficult at the moment but following some of the selfcare ideas in these threads can help you tap in too.

VioletCharlotte · 25/04/2020 16:27

Hello everyone, just catching up. Work has been occupying all of my time the last few days, I've been feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. Reading your posts, I've found myself nodding in agreement to everything that's been said about 'toxic positivity' on social media, and being brave enough fo rest and feel. Some days you just have to go inwards, feel the feelings and wait for them to pass.

Work has been full on and busy, I've found this week that my tolerance levels are much lower than usual and I've found myself being short with people, so I need to find a way of managing my stress levels better. Thankfully, we're no longer expected to work weekends, so I've got some time and space to rest and recharge.

Sending love and solidarity to you ❤️

PolloDePrimavera · 25/04/2020 17:42

@Elphame thank you so much for taking the time to reply and luckily, I have woodland very near me, I go often (with dog, v near my house!) and I always feel soothed. I will see how I get on!

speakout · 26/04/2020 09:45

Good morning sisters. I hope everyone is safe and well.
PolloDePrimavera a warm welcome, lovely to see a new face. Sorry I have no insight into christian witches, I do know that many who folow a pagan path do have a belief in gods, although the shape of that "belief" can take many forms.
Often not the christian god I think you are alluding to though!
*Elphame" has made some good suggestions in trying to explore your spirituality.
VioletCharlotte I feel your stress, I think even though we are not always aware of it and feel on top of situations our subconcious tells us otherwise.
I can convince myself that I am handing things well, and feeing relaxed, but then find myself snapping at family members for no real reason.
I am focussing on letting some things slide a little, while tings are so busy.
I have been working flat out all week, but now OH is home for the forseeable future my burdens wil be eased- at least on the domestic front.
Sending magical Sunday energy to everyone.

Thank you @speakout and I will. I used to think I had a really strong gut feeling and intuition and I want to get back in touch with that and less of an anxious wreck. I'm really glad I found this thread, thank you.

speakout · 26/04/2020 12:21

PolloDePrimavera

Glad you are feeling calmer- for me it's about coming home to the self.

Last night's moon was so bright in the overcast sky at twilight. Venus was also very bright above her, not processed those images yet but thought this was so peaceful to share.

Blanktimes that image is beautiful, thank you so much for sharing.

SlayB · 26/04/2020 17:56

Thank you Elphame very kind.

I love the imagery on the thread just delight and wonder to behold.

YashmisCrone · 26/04/2020 19:59

Welcome SlayB and PolloDePrimavera it’s good to have you join us, this place is always a very welcome sanctuary, even more so through these unusual times we’re living in.

BlankTimes that moon image is absolutely stunning Halloween Shock, thank you for sharing it with us

It’s good to catch up and hear how everyone’s doing, comforting to walk this path together.

I’m feeling more earthed for some gardening this weekend, Gaia never fails to soothe. Just about to light my 8pm candle and settle down to watch Matthew Bourne’s Romeo and Juliet- I have the tv to myself! There’s a few of his ballet’s on sky arts/now tv for fellow ballet lovers who’d be interested!

Love to all for a peaceful evening

Elphame · 27/04/2020 22:26

Feeling very smug - I've just sent my trading accounts and tax return information to my accountant.

Definitely an act of self care as now it's up to them and I can forget all about it!

I'm also eyeing up masonry paint to finish off my courtyard. The new table an chairs look perfect and I picked up a scarlet geranium for the table with my Waitrose shop. My little oasis is definitely getting there.

speakout · 28/04/2020 06:24

Elphame

Well done on getting your tax return done so early. I'm a straggler, usually done the following January in a panic.
It's definately an act of self care.

You have inspired my with visions of your courtyard. I have decking at the back of my house ( put there by previous occupants) it is old and in need of replacement.
I'm not a huge fan of decking, and an investigation in one of the holes with my torch shows stone slabs underneath. It may be e better option - and cheaper- to have the decking removed completely and have a small courtyard instead. A lottle magical oasis sounds lovely.

Morning everyone. I woke to to the sound of gentle rain, so relaxing. I could have stayed in bed listening to it all day!

I like the sound of a magical courtyard garden. This is kind of the idea I have in my head for how I'd like mine to look. I've ordered some sea blue fence paint which should brighten things up a bit, and sowed some of the wild flower seed bombs Blanktimes posted about.

Halli2020 · 28/04/2020 18:31

If there are any witches about /psychics I would be interested in a reading if you can pm me please. Been wanting to find a reliable one for years!

speakout · 28/04/2020 19:13

Halli2020 a warm welcome.

Not sure if you have found the right place for such a service, this is a support forum, not a place to procure.
I think there are many facebook groups that could help though- I hope you find what you are looking for.

I hope you're all well? I'm feeling warm and cosy tonight with all my candles burning.

Welcome Halli2020 ❤️

I came across the details of this virtual Beltane celebration on Facebook and thought I'd share the details. It's free to join and seems a nice way of coming together with others. I'm finding I'm beginning to miss company and I'm enjoying these kind of events.
