Lord we lift up Your Name.

We give thanks for two new little beanies, Bobsmum's and Podglets?.

We give thanks that Worzella and Roseylea are quite a bit better, we pray for complete healing for both of them.

We also pray for CaptainDippy, not feeling great and struggling with a particularly difficult issue at the moment.

We pray for Podglet as she works through a week of incredible business. Lord we hold her up for Your particular love and care.

We also pray for Mummy2TandF. After the very sudden and unexplained death of her dh she is feeling totally overwhelmed by money worries and grief. Lord uphold her and give her all the practical help she needs. Also help her in answering questions from her ds and help him come to terms with his grief

We also remember Onlyjoking and Steve before the Lord with their three children.

We give thanks with Harrisey that her ds is settling into school and for a few days away. We pray for strength as she copes with the after effects of MIL's childcare

We give thanks with MaryBS for a wonderful holiday and pray for her as she takes up study and essay writing. We pray for her ds and his appointment with the paediatrician on 14th September

Zipadisoozy - prayers for peace of mind concerning ds and his new school. Prayers for him too as he settles into a class with two bullies from his previous school. Let's pray for his protection and right development.
We give thanks, with Marslady for the safe arrival of the two babies she looks after.
We thank the Lord for CaptainCaveman and her ds, who keeps us amused with the wonderful things he comes out with.
We remember Notsofarnow and the difficulties in her relationship with exh. We pray for wisdom

We welcome the new girls Scootergrrrl, Commanderchaos, Sandcastles and Shreksmissus. We pray for Mr Shrek and his very busy life and with him for all dhs who work so hard for their families. May the Lord bless them richly and keep them walking in His way.

Several young children have been brought to our notice for prayer:- Brook Kendrick who lives in Northampton and is very poorly with a heart condition in Great Ormond Street Hospital and C who is known to Bobsmum. He suffers from an inoperable brainstem tumour.

We commit ourselves and all our friends to the care of our great and wonderful Lord and Saviour.

Prayers for your ds nsfn, hoping he's better soon and that you both get a good nights sleep.

Mufti - ds is 3.4 and doesn't usually sleep during the day now. However, the past 2 days he's been up at 5.30 so needed to sleep this afternoon. He slept for 2 hours so won't be going to sleep early tonight!! It was nice to get a bit of a break to do some study though

mufti · 15/09/2007 18:30

CC - ds still has a couple of hours am and pm, i'll probably get even less done if he stops, so hopefully not for a while yet.

bobsmum · 15/09/2007 18:45

CC - I knew before I tested this time round. Didn't ahve the achiness, just knackered and my mouth felt like I hadn't brushed my teeth in weeks [eurgh]

No-one in real life know yet (except parents and ILs and churhc leadership). Nice to moan on here though about being knackered. Roll on 12 weeks when I can feel normal again.

As the dear pants...what's so dear about pants? I get mine from Primark V bad - sense of humour disintegrating v fast....

MaryBS - ds is still seeing his Edpsych and has an IEP in place. Lots of whispered talk about Aspergers for him tooo - mainly because he's so exceptional in maths and music and finds it difficult to concentrate at other times.

He has the potential of a referral for OT, but our EdPsych seems to have disappeared off the planet since before the summer

Bedtime for sprogs now. And trying to entertain FIL - joy of joys. He's claiming to be a bhuddist atm, goodness know what it'll be next week

DutchOma · 15/09/2007 20:20

Bad taste getting your pants from Primark Bobsmum. I get mine from M&S, only ones that are big enough .
Was it your minister that was poorly a while ago? How is he doing now?
Blessings to all

It's crazy bobsmum, must be in my head - I could only be max 1 week post conception (giving my secrets away ). Last time I was falling asleep alot and had sore boobs but was 5 weeks pg before I realised what it was!! Plus I'm usually always knackered so no change there!

Now ladies, come on, I want to see more profiles and pics of you and your dcs!

CaptainCaveman · 15/09/2007 20:39

I second the marks pants DO. Dh reckons the thongs I bought look like bits of string (how OLD is he!). Next he'll be insisting I wear wincyette nighties to bed

harrisey · 15/09/2007 21:00

Shouldnt we all be buying Fairtrade Knickers anyway???

DutchOma · 15/09/2007 21:01

My dd insists that thongs are VERY COMFORTABLE but I can't believe they are. Why can't I wear winceyette nighties to bed .

OP posts:
ZipadiSuzy · 15/09/2007 21:46

Do they do Fairtrade Thongs rofl

notsofarnow · 15/09/2007 21:56

yes biodegradable ones

notsofarnow · 15/09/2007 21:57

thongs are comfortable i just can't wear them but to tell you why would be tmi

notsofarnow · 15/09/2007 21:58

how old are you DO?

CaptainDippy · 16/09/2007 00:08

ROFL @ this talk .... on the Christian Prayer thread of all places!!!!! I wear MASSIVE knickers from Tesco - nice & comfy - & I'm only 25 - It's having had children that does it, me thinks!!! I like something that nicely covers my extensive wobbly mama cheeks!!

Speaking of pics - have put a couple of new ones on my profile - they were taken yesterday @ the farm - There's been lots of talk about "Baby Led Weaning" on my PN Thread - so I thought I would "give it a go" .... LOL!!!

Wonderful news about Misdee's Peter coming home, isn't it!!!?

worzella · 16/09/2007 00:38

M&S is the only place for pants....

Praying for stuff on the thread.... and for all the beans and wanted beans and for those of us who don't want any more beans!

Please continue to pray that middle child starts to eat at nursery - he's on hunger strike whilst there because 'I just don't want to go...' He's 3 in October!!!

harrisey · 16/09/2007 01:26

Fairtrade Knickers!!

harrisey · 16/09/2007 01:32

Pants to Poverty

harrisey · 16/09/2007 01:32

I'm going to bed now.

MaryBS · 16/09/2007 04:51

I'm another one who likes M&S knickers. If you think you lot are gross, how about this for a thought? Thongs remind me of dental floss, that's why I can't wear them .

I'm starting to get myself back together. God and I are on talking terms again, at least for the moment!

Praying for all the beans of life that have started to grow. Jesus has obviously been sowing again!

Thank you SO much for all your support!

Love and God bless

Mary

mufti · 16/09/2007 08:08

i dont like them either, isnt dental floss a bit thicker though Mary

DutchOma · 16/09/2007 10:36

Just come back to this thread this morning. What a laugh.
NSFN, I'm not telling, but I THINK I'm old enough to wear whatever I like in bed, even winceyette. I don't though
Laughing so much at the comparison between dental floss and thongs, must tell dd.
And all because the "deer pants".
CD Baby led weaning, parsnip is wonderful. DD had to go slow for a bit, cause dgs gagged so much that it hurt his throat and he wouldn't have his milk.
Now though he seems to be eating all sorts, including ham sandwiches, doesn't that have a bit too much salt in it?
Dsonil has got a new job, so they'll probably be moving to somewhere like High Wycombe. Not as bad as Plymouth or Bristol but very hard to get to without private transport, which we haven't got.
Mary, glad you and God are talking again. Coming to terms with the sovereignty of God is the hardest thing we have to do in this life, but "if He isn't God OF ALL, then He isn't God AT ALL". But that is a very, very hard nut to crack and one which you can only crack by the grace of God. Keep talking
I'm still not very well, went to the barbecue yesterday to promote the knitting of Innocent hats (look in the A&C section if you don't know what I'm talking about) which was lovely, but involved a lot of talking. Since I have such a busy week coming and the holiday next week I would very much appreciate your prayers for voice returning asap. Thank you

Harrisey - Loving your Fairtrade knicks .....

Hee! Hee!

Back from church, DD2 napping, hoping DD3 will follow suit, not looking v.hopeful atm - which is a shame cos I was looking forward to a sit down with a cuppa and my book while DH is at Tesco with DD1 (on a Sunday - ^naughty!! )

MaryBS · 16/09/2007 12:52

DO, it wasn't so much whether or not I was blaming God for how I/Robbie are. It was more a question of "Does God really exist for me, or do I only believe in Him because of my Asperger's". I was doubting His very existence. However, I chose the right place to do it, as I spent a number of hours in and out of church over the past few days, exploring this very idea. Then I recalled I'd promised him before this, that no matter what Robbie's diagnosis was, my faith was still strong, and that I would accept it as His will. And He came to me in the early hours and comforted me and I said sorry for doubting him even for a moment.

I

Had a lovely family service today, interspersed with ds shouting Abracadabra at the top of his voice.

Slept in fits and starts last night though, kept dreaming/thinking about pregnancy, obv getting a bit too obsessed with this!! So I am giving all my thoughts, worries and wished over to the Lord, and will wait until next weekend when I can test.

Glad you're feeling more peaceful again Mary - it's so wonderful that you felt God's presence. And its truly amazing that He will always be our friend, no matter what we do or say. WOW that is great isn't it!?!!

CaptainCaveman · 16/09/2007 13:04

thats wishes not wished.

By the way - are we going to try for a Christmas meetup?

DutchOma · 16/09/2007 13:25

Mary, my dear sister, may God bless you richly.
