Lord we lift up Your Name.

We give thanks for two new little beanies, Bobsmum's and Podglets?.

We give thanks that Worzella and Roseylea are quite a bit better, we pray for complete healing for both of them.

We also pray for CaptainDippy, not feeling great and struggling with a particularly difficult issue at the moment.

We pray for Podglet as she works through a week of incredible business. Lord we hold her up for Your particular love and care.

We also pray for Mummy2TandF. After the very sudden and unexplained death of her dh she is feeling totally overwhelmed by money worries and grief. Lord uphold her and give her all the practical help she needs. Also help her in answering questions from her ds and help him come to terms with his grief

We also remember Onlyjoking and Steve before the Lord with their three children.

We give thanks with Harrisey that her ds is settling into school and for a few days away. We pray for strength as she copes with the after effects of MIL's childcare

We give thanks with MaryBS for a wonderful holiday and pray for her as she takes up study and essay writing. We pray for her ds and his appointment with the paediatrician on 14th September

Zipadisoozy - prayers for peace of mind concerning ds and his new school. Prayers for him too as he settles into a class with two bullies from his previous school. Let's pray for his protection and right development.
We give thanks, with Marslady for the safe arrival of the two babies she looks after.
We thank the Lord for CaptainCaveman and her ds, who keeps us amused with the wonderful things he comes out with.
We remember Notsofarnow and the difficulties in her relationship with exh. We pray for wisdom

We welcome the new girls Scootergrrrl, Commanderchaos, Sandcastles and Shreksmissus. We pray for Mr Shrek and his very busy life and with him for all dhs who work so hard for their families. May the Lord bless them richly and keep them walking in His way.

Several young children have been brought to our notice for prayer:- Brook Kendrick who lives in Northampton and is very poorly with a heart condition in Great Ormond Street Hospital and C who is known to Bobsmum. He suffers from an inoperable brainstem tumour.

We commit ourselves and all our friends to the care of our great and wonderful Lord and Saviour.

and when i brushed my teeth!

CaptainCaveman · 14/09/2007 19:05

erm nothing was merely asking, ahem, a general type question y'know. My you lot are suspicious.......

sssshhhhhh tho. oh my word my boobs hurt

DutchOma · 14/09/2007 19:34

Kim will send the book back asap NSFN
She mentioned that one of her clients (she works in a special needs/ homeless people home) had been murdered.
Mufti will have known about that?
She said it was very sad because he had nobody except a brother who was in the army.
Just thought I'd mention it.
CC, that's lovely, prayers all round. That's the third bean? or have we heard from Podglet? She was going to test again on the 12th?

WhereDoIGo · 14/09/2007 21:24

OK i need your help guys
Today i quit my v v v stressful job as the MD screamed in my face
I have cried all day as i am so afraid that i will have to remove my dc from there wonderful c/minder and that i cannot get another job.
So please could you find it to say a little tiny prayer that something will come along and what i did today was not in vain xx

Notquitegrownup · 14/09/2007 21:36

Onto it WheredoIgo. Have you considered calling the Citizen's Advice Bureau/your Union to find out about constructive dismissal? I think that is where someone has been acting in a way designed to make you resign over some period of time, but I am no expert. However, if this is not the first time you have experienced unpleasantness from this person, it might be worth finding out about.

Goodnight all.

CaptainCaveman · 14/09/2007 23:18

wheredoigo, praying for you - that sounds like an awful situation you have left! Things can only get better and the Lord obviously has good plans for you! Praying you soon see the fruit of His toils.

Now now ladies, calm down. I only asked coz my boobies are feeling extra super sensitive and noramllly this doesn't happen til 3 days before AF. However, this started 3 days post ov. so a good 10 days earlier than usual. And well erm, well, erm....who knows eh? Not planned on this for a scenario tbh, and dh knows nothing as it may be just 'one of those things'. So, prayers and peace all round. Have logged off so that dh can't snoop!

Please stop me trying to convince myself that I might be pg

CaptainCaveman · 14/09/2007 23:26

btw, am knackered and have sooooo much to do tomorrow. May get chance to log on tomorrow eve.

neeeeeed sleeeeeeeepppp......................................................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

MaryBS · 15/09/2007 05:17

CCM - you don't need convincing, methinks!

Just wanted to say thanks for your support and prayers. I know Robbie is still the same child, and it'll help because stuff we'd put down as "naughtiness" or "awkwardness" has a reason for it. There are lots of coping strategies that can be put in place and I've already alerted the school.

What i'm struggling with more is whether I have it too. It explains a lot of things in my life, but also casts a lot of things into doubt too. I no longer feel like me. I have a very real fear that this will put an end to my ministry. I spoke to M. last night who said he couldn't see any reason why it would make any difference. I also worry what it'll do to our marriage, and DH has tried to reassure me and says he can't understand why I'm worrying so much. I said that's what people with AS do, obsess about things!

I have a friend who has experience of AS, who tipped me off about Robbie in the first place. She told me that she had spotted signs in me too, but didn't like to say anything. It helped talking to her...

Enough of my ramblings. Love to all and God bless. Just wish I could sleep!

Mary

CaptainDippy · 15/09/2007 07:10

Did post to you last night WhatDoIDo, but post isn't there! {{{{hugs}}}} anyway - praying for you honey and do feel free to pop in here and chat / rant anytime ..... think NQGU's suggestion of seeking out CAB is a good one. You sound like you've been through a tough time of it. xxxx

{{{{{hugs}}}}} to you Mary! Put your mind at rest - go and see someone professional and get their opinion sweetie. AS comes in many different forms and it doesn't change the wonderful, kind, caring person that you are - As has already been said, Robbie is still the same boy he was 5 secs before the DX and so are you - Nothing can change the people that you are, whether or not you have some form of AS. Stop stressing - we are praying for you!

Urgh - what a horrid time to be up on a Sat morning! What are people's plans today? My mum and gran are staying this week - so prayers that we would all have a good week appreciate (we don't have the best relationship) - hopefully dragging them out to a farm with the girlies later on ....

I hope you are, CC, I really do - If you are, praying DH takes it well!

mufti · 15/09/2007 07:39

not the only early riser CaptainDippy.
just pegged some washing out
DO mentioned the murder , yes , very shocking, more so in such a relatively quiet, small town i think
he had a son of 12, an di didnt know him, but also a lot of friends, judging by the tributes in the paper.
its a lovely day already, a nearby college is having a bee and honey day, with tastings, yum, as well as miniature railway, gardens , and other things, hope to get to that

MaryBS · 15/09/2007 09:39

My boss has just phoned. His mum has died suddenly. Please hold him and his family in your prayers today...

PandaG · 15/09/2007 09:48

Hello all

welcome now we are four - keep posting

welcome to WhatdoIdonow - I will pray for your work situation, you must be so worried.

Mary - In the same way that Robbie is the same child with or without a DX of AS, so are you. I can understand why you are worried about your calling and your marriage, but God called You, exactly as he made you, and he made you so He knows all about you, AS or not. Same with your DH, he chose to marry you, the person that you are, and he loves and supports you. If you do also have Aspergers what difference will that make. As someone else said, go see your doc, try and get a diagnosis, and put your mind at rest one way or the other. Have you posted on the SN board here, I read it quite a lot and seem to be a very supportive bunch.

I have had the words 'as the deer pants for the water so my soul longs for you' come into my head, particularly 'I love you mopre than gold or silver, only you can satisfy' come into my head. I know that in the middle of my panics and stresses only God can satisfy my needs and worries, I know it and believe it, but don't always feel it IYKWIM? THink these words are meant as an encouragement for someone else here too.

PandaG · 15/09/2007 09:48

praying for your boss.

MaryBS · 15/09/2007 10:03

Thanks Panda,

There's a lovely hymn (relatively modern one) with those words... trying to remember it... I remember it touching my heart, as indeed it does now!

...

I know its the one "You alone are my heart's desire and I long to worship you". I'm singing it now, absolutely beautiful!

I've had a shock, and when I'm able to rationalise it all, then I will feel a lot better. I feel blessed that I can come on here and share these dark fears without being judged for them.

I DID know about the SN board, will probably post there when I feel a bit stronger.

CaptainCaveman · 15/09/2007 10:26

Praying for your boss Mary, what a shock for them.

What to do today? The weather is beautiful!

TheQueenOfQuotes · 15/09/2007 10:57

hellooooo everyone - just have to update you on DH and I - from our "snails pace" rebuilding (we were up to occasional pecks on the lips and the odd cuddle) we seem to have all of a sudden come on leaps and bounds - we have a damn good "proper" kisses last night (plus a little more - although there was still some left to the imagination) (sorry if tmi for a prayer thread but I think we're really getting back on track now ).

DutchOma · 15/09/2007 11:30

QoQ, so happy for your better relationship with your dh.
CC, you wanted another bean didn't you?
Mary, as PandaG and CD have said, you are the same person that God has loved from before you were born. He knows how you are made, much better than you do and He will uphold you in your strength and your weakness. "When I am weak, then I am strong" 2Cor 12:10.
WheredoIgo - You are right not to put up with people shouting in your face. They have lost a good worker and no doubt you will find something else quite soon. Let us know how it goes, won't you? Make sure you get all the money they owe you. Plus holiday. Plus overtime.
CD, best of luck with having your mum and grandma to stay.
Love and blessings to all

Notquitegrownup · 15/09/2007 13:01

Good morning. Flying by.

Woo hoooooooooooo QoQ! What a fantastic answer to prayer and to your faith!! You've made my day.

God bless all - specially Mary. I think our Father who made you can use this to bless you even more abundantly. Holding you in my prayers as you come to terms with all of this, though. Not easy at all.

CaptainDippy · 15/09/2007 14:21

Yey - Go QofQ - Answer to prayer ..... always good! How are all your boys?

Holding your Boss and his family close in prayer, Mary - so {{{hugs}}} by the bucketload to you too - hope you feel strong enough to post on the SN boards soon, I'm sure you'll find plenty of wise, gentle advice, encouragement and support there sweetie - as well as here, of course!! You're great!

Oooooh, Panda - I LOVE that hymn - "I long to worship you" .... mmmmmmmm .....

DH just hoovering out car & then we're off to the Farm .... mum and gran hopefully going to meet us there despite the face "Eastbourne is much bigger than Leeds" .... classic quote of the moment from my mother!! She is driving me completely bonkers already ..... it is going to be a long old week ..... sigh .....

mufti · 15/09/2007 14:40

CaptainCaveman · 15/09/2007 14:44
