Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

I really like the idea of becoming more spiritual/in touch with that side of things but I really don't know where to start. Confused

Is there a kind of basics guide anyone would recommend?

speakout · 05/01/2020 18:52

CopperAndGold

Welcome- glad you could join us.

I don't think there is any one starting place- we all probably come to a spiritual path by different means.
What appeals to you about a spiritual journey? your interests etc. For some it may be a love of nature, wild places, history, an interest in growing or animals, you may be drawn to a type of craft- Tarot work, working with herbs or divination.
We are a mixed bunch here with many diverse interests. You may feel interested in a particular subject- read and investigate- and see where that leads.

Thank you, speakout.

Good morning!

I've been joining you all on the 8&8: I find it very calming.

I'm going to try venturing outside today, as it's pretty mild, and my breathing is much better. I just want to go and watch the stream, and let it carry away some of my heaviness of heart.

I hope everyone is feeling a bit I'd get-up-and-go on this January Monday Crown Smile

adjsavedmylife · 06/01/2020 19:21

Hello! Please may I join you by the fire? I’ve been lurking a while and been inspired by the wisdom here so many times so wanted to say hello. And thank you! I’m quite new to all of this though it’s always been in the back of my mind. So I am just feeling my way and starting small. Though it feels big Crown Smile

speakout · 06/01/2020 21:09

adjsavedmylife a warm welcome, pull up a cushion, there is always tea in the pot.
Lovely that you could join us. Move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, take your time and enjoy the journey.

Welcome new friends, it’s good to have you here, always room by the aga and tea in the pot.

Look forward to chatting to you more Brew Crown Smile

speakout thank you for that lovely card which sums up the energy of our group beautifully 💖

Great you’ve been joining the 8&8’s Sproutina, I love the feel of these times too, amazing how much energy we drum up between us isn’t it. I draw such strength from it

Hope everyone’s ok, there’s a real sense of it ‘all happening at once’ here. Very helpful to remember to approach it all like a queen!

Wishing everyone a peaceful night 💫

VioletCharlotte · 06/01/2020 22:20

Popping in for a cuppa and to sit by the fire for a little while before heading off to bed. I'm tired after work, but feeling relaxed after a yoga class. Hoping I'll sleep better than last night when I was disturbed by some very odd dreams.

Sproutina lovely to see you, I hope you managed to get outside and down to the river. I always find being near water has a calming effect.

Adjsavedmylife thank you for posting and so good to have with us. I laughed when you said you'd been 'lurking'! I sometimes forget that others read this thread! I'm glad your finding the posts interesting.

Now that the festivities are over and things are getting back to normal, I'm starting to feel more connected again and receiving messages and insight from spirit. It's a good feeling, my mind's been so busy with 'life stuff' over the last month.

Sproutina · 07/01/2020 20:08

Thanks VioletCharlotte Crown Smile.* * I didn't get to the river in the end, but I had a nice twelfth night with the children.

I'm sitting in front of a candle flame atm. I didn't trim the wick, so the flame is long, and is dancing like a will o' the wisp Crown Grin. I couldn't look at it for long, as it's being so bonkers. My own wild energy in my own bedroom.

adjsavedmylife · 07/01/2020 20:14

Thank you for your warm words of welcome.

@VioletCharlotte sorry if my skulking about startled you!

I had the chance for a quick body scan meditation (I love the Eckhart yoga one) this afternoon and saw very clearly in my mind’s eye a hearth in wood and green and gold. I think I know what it meant Brew

Skyejuly · 08/01/2020 11:17

Hi everyone just checking in with you all. I am kind of stepping out of hibernation mode...tip toeing...I dont think I am ready yet!

speakout · 08/01/2020 11:21

Skyejuly Still in hibernation here! It's normally around Imbolc that I feel the stirrings.

OP posts:
YashmisCrone · 08/01/2020 12:59

Me too speakout! I love Imbolc for the feeling of the promise of new shoots of growth, I’m now thinking fondly of sharing that energy last year Crown Smile

I’m enjoying hearing of everyone generating goddess energy in their own ways and of feelings of connection. Lots of lovely roots/seed sowing work 🌱✨

Welcome Goodgirl2015 good to have you with us.

I'm still enjoying being in hibernation too. A couple more weeks and hopefully the mornings and evenings will be a little lighter.

speakout · 10/01/2020 06:38

Good morning sisters.

It has been very quiet here of late, just having my blessed cup of coffee before getting ready for yoga.
It's a busy time for many of us right now as work demands increase again.
Don't forget time for self care, and sprinkle a little magical dust before your feet as you walk- it always helps to lighten the load.

Hope tonights full wolf moon brings abundant energy.

I love this speakout, and agree, it does Crown Smile

I had a lot of driving to do yesterday, was a bit nervous about it in the dark and the rain. But the almost full moon was such a bright and beautiful companion, guiding the way. I am feeling very blessed today.

The wolf moon enhances my thoughts of imbolc, preparing the ground for seed sowing and possibilities that can bloom as the spring slowly unfurls, in it’s own good time 🌱

Wishing everyone some magic in their Friday 💫

VioletCharlotte · 10/01/2020 09:52

Good morning all. Speakout and Yashmis thank you for your wise words, you've brightened my morning. I've been struggling a bit with this first full week back at work, I shall follow your advice and sprinkle some magic dust 💫

I didn't see the moon last night, I was feeling exhausted so went to bed really early. I love the thought of her beautiful light guiding you home Yashmis.

I'm looking forward to a weekend of self-care, yoga tomorrow morning followed by a hair appointment, then a ceremony on Sunday to honour the divine feminine... bliss!

Love to you all for a peaceful day ❤️

Sproutina · 10/01/2020 11:02

Good morning!

I popped on for a bit of spiritual sustenance, and now am feeling wolfy and am going to sprinkle me some magic dust!

There's plenty of the more mundane kind here, especially in my bedroom, so this afternoon I'm going to have a bedroom clear-out, then moonwatch (clouds permitting) though the clean windows. Out with the old!

I don't know why, but of all the points in the wheel of the year, Imbolc is my favourite. It's so calm and hopeful.

As you may be able to tell, my health is much improved & my spirits have risen. Happy moon watching! 🌕 🐺

speakout · 10/01/2020 12:30

A sunny day has unfolded here- VioletCharlotte your plans for a weekend of self care sound just divine. Honouring yourself as goddess.

YashmisCrone I am glad you had a bessed day yesterday, I have a vision of you driving home by moonlight.
Sproutina I am glad you are sutstained by this thread, it is an oasis of inspiration and nurturing isn't it.

I feel the same about Imbolc, one of my very favourite festivals. For me part of the magic is that despite its importance to some of us it is fairly unknown and uncelebrated by the general population.
Unlike the frenzy of Yule or Samhain, or even Easter it doesn't carry that energy of commercialism and mass emotion.
Quite fitting that the fire of Imbolc is still quite veiled, in the belly, a quiet stirring rather than an eruption.
I know that the christian church celebrates candlemas- a festival with a similar vibe ( no surprise there!) but apart from that it is gentle contemplative celebration for me.

I noticed new bright gree shoots in my garden today on my Buddleia- a welcome sight, although very early this year.

VioletCharlotte · 10/01/2020 19:15

Just popped out for a look at the full moon... so beautiful. It's a clear night and my garden's bathed in moonlight.

I love Imbolc too. It's such a gentle and understated celebration of nature, with none of the commercialism and consumerism that comes with Christmas and Easter. I'm still feeling very much in hibernation mode at the moment, but looking forward to seeing the first signs of Spring. One of the many things I love about having a dog is getting out for daily walks in nature and watching out for he subtle signs that the seasons are turning.
