Today, I am grateful for a new year and a fresh start and for time spent with my family.x

An earlier start to the day than I'd planned, but my help was needed and I welcomed the opportunity to repay kindnesses.
Above earlier start meant I got other things achieved earlier than I'd anticipated!
Sitting with nice cup of coffee after all that buzzing about.

Four loads of washing dried to perfection on the line.
Managing to hold my tongue when I was tempted to say something unkind.
Anticipation of clean sheets and mid-weight duvet on the bed tonight.

Coming home to a tidy house.
Tonight is scrambled eggs night so easy dinner to cook

Can you tell I am having a hard time controlling my body temp today

How lucky we are to have effective heating these days - I would have struggled to survive in the olden days!

I grew up with ice on the windows in winter and the only warm room being the living room where the coal fire was. No central heating till I was in my twenties. It was a revelation. Now I am a big girls blouse.

Waking to realise that the dream I'd had (stolen car) wasn't real.
Crisp, sunny day.
Visit to hospital pharmacy being short enough to be allowed free exit from the car park.

That's funny, Optimist . Dreams sometimes seem very real. I had one the other night where I had a terrible argument with a good friend and said some completely unforgiveable things. I spent most of the next day trying to work out if it had actually happened or if I had only dreamt it.

I’m focusing on being happy with these simple things right now
