A nice, gentle thread for us all to count our blessing, to pause, breathe and be thankful for all the wee, small things that go right in our days.

Everyone is welcome, no matter our personal beliefs or faiths.

Today, I am grateful for a new year and a fresh start and for time spent with my family.x

Has been a while...
Children growing as they should each day
Family that help when they can
An easy ride... life has been kind so far

A safe home
Food on the table
Time with my children

Apple crumble - it's the first one I've made this year

Lovely church service
Herb tea
Everyone at home safe and sound

I'm grateful for:

My children - about whom, no adjective will suffice. That they're home safe tonight.
The roof over our heads.
Our beautiful moggy, who likes to walk us to school.
Having enough food in the fridge and money in the bank.
Having a reasonable amount of talent and the drive to earn some money from it (is hope!)
That the people I love are well.
Being OK looking.
Yoga.
Other women who understand what it is to be female.

Quality coffee (couldn't start my day without it!).
My talented hairdresser friend who has given me a boost with a new style today.
Warm September sunshine.

A happy and safe home.

less I love apple crumble, I'm grateful today that it exists in the world and I get to eat it.

Always the change of seasons, I think I must have been here a year as I have a vague recollection of posting 'I love Autumn' last year. Seasons are a little like songs to me, as each new one rolls in I proclaim 'I love this one, it's my favourite'.

My wonderful husband who I was a bit short tempered with this evening, small children and little sleep can do that to you.

A relactively calm evening
That I'm learning to identify when hormones are to blame.
That i live so close to so many gorgeous mature beech and horse chestnut trees at this time of year.
That I have at least two things I'm good at.

I'm sure there are many more than 2, user.

I remember well what small kids can do to your calm, oliver. It doesn't last forever, though. I know it's a cliché but all too soon, you have smelly, grumpy teenagers on your hands

Seeing the flowers I planted in tubs and baskets yesterday make my garden look cheerful again.
Sunny morning watching a football match followed by delicious roast chez DS and DIL.
The prospect of an evening of Scandi drrama.

I love autumn/winter flowers. A wee splash of colour in the gloom.

All my summer herbs hanging up to dry
Collecting elderberries for syrup for winter
A week off and a warm,dry home to spend it in.

Thank you, Optimist. It's a very rare occasions, so I am going to spend it doing as little as I can get away with!
